Clearway Energy schließt im US-Markt die Lücke zwischen der Erzeugung erneuerbarer Energie und dem Bedarf von Technologiekonzernen.

Das Unternehmen betreibt ein Portfolio von rund 13 GW Bruttokapazität, das über 27 US-Bundesstaaten verteilt ist. Die wirtschaftliche Grundlage bilden langfristige Stromabnahmeverträge in Form sogenannter PPAs.

Ein Meilenstein für Clearway ist der Abschluss von drei neuen Verträgen mit Google im Januar über insgesamt 1,17 GW, die Investitionen von über 2,4 Mrd. USD mit sich bringen und den Tech-Konzern über Zeiträume von bis zu 20 Jahren mit Energie versorgen.

Das Preisumfeld für solche Verträge hat sich aufgrund knapper Netzanschlüsse zuletzt auf einigen regionalen Märkten verdoppelt.

Clearway schloss das Jahr 2025 mit einem Cashflow von 430 Mio. USD ab und prognostiziert für 2026 einen Anstieg auf bis zu 510 Mio. USD, was einem Wachstum von 19 % entspricht.

Aktuell liegt die Dividendenrendite von Clearway bei rund 4,8 %.

Der US-Ökostromerzeuger Clearway Energy hat im ersten Halbjahr 2025 den Umsatz gesteigert, jedoch einen Gewinnrückgang verbucht.

Seine Jahresprognose hebt der Konzern zumindest am unteren Ende leicht an, zudem hält Clearway an seinen Ausbauzielen fest.

Von Januar bis Juni erzielte Clearway laut Halbjahresbericht einen Umsatz von 690 Millionen US-Dollar, rund 10 Prozent mehr als im Vorjahreszeitraum. Ausschlaggebend für den Umsatzanstieg waren vor allem höhere Erträge aus neu in Betrieb genommenen Projekten.

Prognose leicht angehoben

Das Ergebnis litt gleichzeitig unter niedrigeren Strommarktpreisen und schwächeren Windverhältnissen. Der Nettogewinn sank daher von 49 Millionen auf 37 Millionen Dollar.

Die für eine Ausschüttung verfügbaren Barmittel (Cash Available for Distribution, CAFD) lagen für die ersten sechs Monate bei 229 Millionen Dollar, 10 Millionen Dollar weniger als im Vorjahr. Das CAFD ist das Geld, das der Konzern für die Ausschüttung seiner Dividenden nutzen kann.
