Global Water Technologies (GWTR, WKN 914055)

Global Water Technologies Announces Stock Split
GOLDEN, Colo., May 30, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Global Water Technologies, Inc.
(OTCBB: GWTR), a company utilizing advanced technologies and engineered solutions
to provide process cooling water to industry and municipalities worldwide,
announced today, that its Board of Directors has approved a reverse stock split
of its common stock on the basis of 1 share for each 60 shares currently held.
The reverse stock split, previously approved by shareholders, will become
effective at the close of business June 30, 2000. The reverse split will have
the effect of reducing the estimated 360,000,000 shares currently issued and
outstanding to approximately 6,000,000 shares.
Mr. George Kast, President and Chief Executive Office of GWTR stated: "I believe
the reverse stock split is a positive move for the Company, and one of the
qualification steps necessary to apply for listing on the Nasdaq small-cap
exchange. By converting 60 shares for 1 new share of Global Water Technologies,
the stock should trade at prices that may result in more retail oriented broker
dealers buying and selling our stock, thereby attracting other investors who are
excited about GWTR`s opportunities, but would normally not invest in stocks that
trade below certain thresholds. Additionally, institutional investors, typically
limited to owning stocks listed greater than $5 per share, could now be
attracted to Global Water Technologies as well. We anticipate that the reverse
split, and ultimate listing on the Nasdaq small-cap market, may also help
attract additional capital, which may be necessary to finance our ongoing growth
strategies."
