BlaBla, nichts Konkretes...) Hier ein paar Ergebnisse meiner Recherche

      NEWS RELEASE

IMAGIS ANNOUNCES THREE NEW ORDERS FOR ITS ID-2000 BIOMETRIC FACE RECOGNITION SOFTWARE IN CALIFORNIA
VANCOUVER, CANADA - June 14, 2000: Mr. Iain Drummond, President & CEO, is pleased to announce three new orders for Imagis` biometric facial recognition software.

West Covina Police Department, just east of Los Angeles, has installed Imagis` ID-2000 face recognition software. This operates in conjunction with their implementation of the Imagis` CABS Arrest & Booking System, which has successfully been in use for over a year now at West Covina. All arrested persons at the West Covina PD jail now have their image encoded at capture time. This provides a full set of facial descriptors, which can be indexed for fast searching. ID-2000 is used to locate offenders in their CABS database that yield close matches to a composite image or sketch.

Commander Ken Fields, Head of the West Covina Service Group, said "Last year we successfully introduced Imagis` CABS product to add advanced imaging to our Records Management System and shorten the booking process. The addition now of facial recognition capabilities through Imagis` ID-2000 enables us to identify criminals quickly, including from composite drawings produced by witnesses."

In an associated development, the El Segundo and La Habra Police Departments have separately purchased Imagis` CABS Arrest & Booking software together with ID-2000 facial recognition as part of an integrated system being provided to them by the West Covina Service Group. This includes a fully integrated computer-aided dispatch system, records management, and mobile use for police cruisers. West Covina Services Group have tightly integrated CABS and ID-2000 with these applications to aid in the identification of offenders. El Segundo is located in Los Angeles county just south of LAX, while La Habra Police Department is in Orange County.

IMAGIS` CABS Software Purchased By Guilford Police Department, Connecticut, USA
Imagis to install CABS Wireless Module in Police Cruisers

Vancouver, Canada - June 26, 2000: Mr. Iain Drummond, President and CEO of Imagis Technologies Inc. ("Imagis"), is pleased to announce that Imagis` premiere law enforcement software CABS, its Computerized Arrest and Booking System, was purchased by the Guilford Police Department in Guilford, Connecticut, USA.

Upon implementation, the primary objective is to configure CABS MOBILE in Guilford`s police cruisers to facilitate intelligence gathering and pre-booking of arrestees. Guilford will have a site license of CABS allowing for department-wide PC access for quick and easy sharing of arrestee and incident-based images and data throughout the department network. The immediate access to arrestee records will allow for positive identification of repeat offenders much faster than the existing procedure and will be a positive factor in serving the community of Guilford.
