06-26-2000 01:40:18 PM Samsung`s MyMemoryStore.com Now Offers Rambus Modules to Solution Providers
Business Editors/High-Tech Writers
PC Expo 2000
Booth No. 1204
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2000--
-- MyMemoryStore.com becomes a critical supplier of Rambus
modules for members
-- Samsung`s Rambus modules lead the industry in production,
quality and testing
-- MyMemoryStore.com preparing for Rambus system upgrade
Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. announced today the addition of
Rambus(R) RIMM(TM) memory modules to the MyMemoryStore.com(SM) product
offering. This eBusiness resource enables solution providers, VARS,
and distributors to get their Samsung memory modules directly from the
world`s leading memory manufacturer. Adding to an expanded catalogue
of PC66/PC110/PC133 SDRAM memory modules, MyMemoryStore has an
introductory supply of Samsung`s distinctive "blue"- colored RIMM
modules. Samsung is the leading producer of certified high-quality
Rambus DRAMs with over 80% market share. The Company is producing
three million units a month and has passed a milestone ten-millionth
unit shipped. MyMemoryStore.com is the only direct source of RIMM
modules available to solution providers from a manufacturer of Rambus
DRAMs.
"Samsung is the leading provider of Rambus modules and has
excelled in providing quality tested RIMM modules. MyMemoryStore.com
members can benefit from this leadership by providing their customers
with an option to upgrade Rambus-based systems that use
memory-intensive applications," said Avo Kanadjian, vice president of
worldwide marketing at Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS)
"We see a growing demand for Rambus upgrades, and solution
providers have had limited access to Rambus modules until now. Members
of MyMemoryStore have an advantage over their competition because they
can provide their customers with Samsung`s RIMM modules," said Bob
Eminian, general manager of MyMemoryStore and Samsung Semiconductor`s
vice president of eBusiness solutions. "We have been very active in
upgrading the site to be efficient, easy, and service-oriented. Adding
Rambus modules was a must in providing our members the competitive
edge."
Samsung stringently tests its Rambus modules to ensure
interoperability when adding additional Samsung RIMM modules in a
system. MyMemoryStore is providing a full range of RIMM modules, up to
288MB at speeds of 600, 711 and 800MHz. Samsung`s 128Mb Rambus DRAMs
are currently being manufactured on a.18 micron process with plans to
move to .17 micron by end of year. At that time, the 256Mb RDRAM
announced earlier this year by Samsung will move into production.
Pricing of memory modules from MyMemoryStore.com is competitive as
market conditions dictate. For more information go to
www.MyMemoryStore.com.
Samsung Semiconductor
Samsung Semiconductor Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Korean-based Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Samsung`s semiconductor
division is the fourth-largest semiconductor manufacturer, and the
leading producer of memory and TFT-LCD products in the world. Samsung

supports all leading technologies such as Rambus, DDR and
PC-133/PC-100 SDRAM. Samsung was first with working silicon for the
1-Gigabit DRAM, delivering samples to major OEMs in 1998. Samsung was
