Venlo, The Netherlands, July 3, 2000 - QIAGEN N.V. (Nasdaq: QGENF, Frankfurt Neuer Markt: QIA) today announced that the distribution date of its previously announced four-for-one stock split is intended to be on July 13, 2000 and the ex-distribution date is intended to be on July 14, 2000, for holders of record on July 3, 2000. Trading of the shares based on the stock split adjusted price is therefore expected to commence on July 14, 2000 on both the Neuer Markt Division of the Frankfurt Exchange as well as on the Nasdaq National Market.
The proposed stock split was approved at QIAGEN`s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held in Venlo, the Netherlands, on June 16, 2000. As of March 31, 2000, QIAGEN had approximately 34.6 million shares issued and outstanding. As a result of the four-for-one stock split, the number of common shares outstanding will increase to approximately 138.5 million.

Wie das Unternehmen am Montag im niederländischen Venlo weiter mitteilte, finde nach der Vervierfachung der Aktienstückzahl auf dann 138,5 Millionen die Umstellung an der Börse am 14. Juli statt. Das niederländische Unternehmen will durch den Aktienspluitt die Liquidiät und die Handelbarkeit seines Titels verbessern.
Die Qiagen-Aktie notierte am Montag mit einem Plus von 4,4 Prozent auf 192,50 Euro überdurchschnittlich fester.
Habe schon befürchtet, ich hätte den Einstiegszeitpunkt verpasst.
