Sieht so aus als ob Davnet heute mal wieder was verlieren
wird. In Australien verliert der Wert 6%.

Australien kann sich also dem schlechten abschneiden im AMI-Land auch nicht entziehen.

Halte es für eine CHANCE noch mal den Wert günstig nach zu kaufen.

In den nächsten Monaten dürfe er nicht mehr so billig hergehen.

letzten Tage, kann der Wert doch einen Tag mal verlieren.

NTT Unit May Take Stake in Australia`s Davnet

Melbourne, July 5 (Bloomberg) -- NTT Communications Corp., the international
unit of Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp., is looking to take a stake in
Australian telecommunications provider Davnet Ltd. to expand their relationship.

NTT Communications bought 49 percent of Davnet Telecommunications Pty,
Davnet`s Australian unit, for A$116 million ($70 million) in November. Davnet`s
Chief Operating Officer Jason Ashton said in an interview the companies were in
talks to expand the relationship, including NTT ``investing in the parent company
separately.``

The company later issued a statement saying an investment by NTT wasn`t
``imminent,`` though it aimed to develop the relationship ``both commercially and
operationally.`` NTT said it had not discussed raising its stake in Davnet.

Davnet scrapped plans last month to buy 75 percent of Hong Kong-based New
World Telephone Ltd., an unprofitable unit of New World Development, because
of the price. No financial details of the planned purchase were ever disclosed.

Still, Davnet Digital Hong Kong Ltd. has gained access to Hutchison Whampoa
Ltd.`s optic fiber network in Hong Kong and will provide Internet and telephone
services to the 500 most profitable buildings in the city.

Melbourne-based Davnet provides telecommunications services, including
Internet and telephone access, to 1500 corporate buildings in cities such as
Hong Kong, Sydney, Chicago and New York and wants to expand to 23 more.
NTT would take a holding in the telecommunications company so Davnet could
``continue expansion outside Australia,`` said Ashton. The company may also
gain access to NTT`s network in Asia.

Shares Rise

In Singapore, Davnet plans to wire up 120 buildings with broadband technology,
allowing high-speed Internet access and data flow in the business district by the
end of 2001. Davnet will buy phone services from fixed phone line companies,
and repackage them by wiring up office buildings using underground cable.

NTT, Japan`s former phone monopoly, is seeking to expand its operations in Asia
by taking stakes in other telecommunications companies. NTT already owns
holdings in several Asian carriers, including Philippine Long Distance Telephone
Co., Thai Telephone & Telecommunications Plc and StarHub Pte of Singapore.

Davnet`s shares recorded their biggest one-day gain in almost 6 months
yesterday, surging 23 percent. The shares rose 9 cents, or 5.1 percent, to
A$1.84 today. The company had fallen as much as 83 percent since its March
29 record of A$5.99, reaching A$1.01 on June 21. It`s increased 82 percent since
then.

``We`re focused on becoming profitable and expanding our business,`` Ashton
said, adding the company will appoint new executives soon.

The company is looking to raise about $100 million to fund expansion by selling
shares on the Nasdaq market. No time frame for the share sale has been
provided. Davnet has about A$90 million in cash.

Woher hast Du Deine Infos? Bei www.stockhouse.com.au habe ich nur den Link zu obigem Artikel von Bloomberg gefunden, aber da
steht weder etwas von einem Aktiensplit, noch von einem Voll-Listing schon im August.
