THREE times as many customers with twice as much to spend lifted online broker E*Trade to record annual net revenue of $20 million in the year to June.

The Sydney-based group handled more than a quarter of ASX online trades in the period, outgoing chief executive Kerry Roxburgh said yesterday.
"We exceeded all our expectations in a year that saw us establish important new milestones, notably passing the 50,000 accounts target and $1.5 billion in customer assets," Mr Roxburgh said. "We placed over one million orders last year and we have executed about $4.75 billion in trades on behalf of our customers. This year our trading volume has increased five fold."

Mr Roxburgh was replaced yesterday by chief operating officer Mike Deleray.

Prior to Mr Deleray`s arrival in January, he was with E*Trade Group US for 3 1/2 years and responsible for the rollout of international E*Trade operations.

"In the new fiscal year I expect our growth momentum to continue," Mr Deleray said. "We will diversify our revenue sources by bringing exciting new functionality online and by expanding our product range."

Although E*Trade Australia posted gross revenue in excess of $20 million during the financial year, increased competition in the market forced price cuts. E*Trade Australia is expecting to achieve operation break even in FY2001.

Mr Roxburgh said the alliance with 10 per cent shareholder, ANZ bank, gained momentum during the year. "It has driven innovation and business growth and E*Trade Australia expects the alliance to expand the `share-of-wallet` customers have with us and `share-of-mind` in the marketplace," he said.

"It has resulted in another first, with the recent launch of `online-real-time` banking, available to ANZ/E*Trade customers. In the three months to 30 June, ANZ/E*Trade customers accounted for about 16 per cent of all trades executed by E*Trade Australia."

Ich bin sehr optimistisch für den weiteren Verlauf der E *Trade Aus.
sowohl von der Story und den Kurs .

Paar gute Empfehlungen können den Kurs in die 10 Euro Zone
katapulieren , die hälfte davon können noch gute News
hergeworfen werden ist schon die 20 erreicht .

So einfach ist die Rechnung , da brauche keine Vektorrechnung oder
Differenzialberechnung

Wade hade du da geraucht,20EU das währe ein Kgv zwischen 500 - 600.E*Trade Au wird seinen Weg schon machen,die Prognosen wurden bisher immer übertroffen.Nur die Letztjährigen Kursprognosen von Aktionär ect.(12-18Eu) werden wohl frühstens in 2-3 Jahren möglich sein.

Glaubt Ihr wirklich noch daran das je ein Analyst auf Etrade au aufmerksam wird? Es ist ja nicht das erste mal das Etrade gute Zahlen vorgelegt hat und somit eine Empfehlung wert ist.
Hoffen wir das der begonnen Aufwärttrend eine Weile anhält.
Richtig kann ich jedoch dem Braten nicht trauen. Wir hatten schon zwei mal kräftige Anstiege nach den Zahlen, die dann immer Ausgangspunkt für weitere Lows waren.
Was mich besonders ärgert: gestern Etrade us +11% und Etrade au nur 3%

Shit...letztes Jahr hats mich zusammengehauen wegen ETRADE AUS und STARNET...zu lange dran festgehalten, obwohl vorher exorbitantes Plus eingefahren ...auf dem Papier, und vorher Teilgewinne realisiert.

Anyway...man lernt aus Fehlern nach der devise `Hart aber herzlich`.

Bin jetzt vorgestern wieder in ETRADE AUS eingestiegen zu 1,40€ , weil ich meinte einen Trend nach oben zu erkennen.
Aber die Gesetze bei ETRADE sind wohl anders als bei anderen Aktien
Zudem sind die Fundamentals nochmal um Einges besser als vor einem Jahr, und das bei diesem Kurs.

Jetzt müssten die 6€ doch eher drin sein , als noch vor über einem Jahr ???
Oder ist die Konkurrenz in AUS doch besser ?

Hallo Leute,

ich verstehe eure Verzweiflung, weil ich genau in der gleichen Situation bin. Habe etrade auch im April letzten Jahres gekauft und sitze
das Debakel seitdem aus, weil ich nach wie vor von der Story überzeugt bin. Ich habe jetzt nochmal bei 1,20 und 1,25 nachgekauft.
Das Problem an der Aktie ist einfach, dass sie momentan einfach nicht gefragt ist. Das zeigen auch die geringen Umsätze.
Wenn man die derzeitigen Umsätze mit denen vom Frühjahr letzten Jahres vergleicht, sieht man, dass einfach die Nachfrage
nicht mehr vorhanden ist.
Da die positive Entwicklung aber weiter anhält, denke ich, dass man nur genügend Geduld haben muss. Irgenwann werden dann
auch mehr Investoren und hoffentlich auch Analysten darauf aufmerksam, dass der Kurs hinter der Geschäftsentwickung
zurückgeblieben ist.

ich finde Du hast einen erfrischenden Optimismus. Allerdings finde ich das Kursziel von rukus doch etwas realistischer. Bis zu den 10 € sind noch einige harte Widerstände zu überwinden.
Vor allem muss die Aktie erstmal wieder bekannter werden.
Behalte Deinen Optimismus, aber sei nicht enttäuscht, wenn es dann doch nicht so schnell geht, wie Du Dir vorstellst .

Kursbewegungen mittelfristig von bis 10 EURO kann locker gemeistert werden , wenn
man mehr Aufmerksamkeit diesen Wert witmen würde wie den BIG BROTHER E *TRADE GROUP Inc. ( USA) -gleiche Struktur .
Dazu kann E *Trade Australia im Image der E *Trade Group schwimmen meine ich !

Fazit : Online - Banking ist diiie Zukunft im Internet- Business bzw die G 8- Summit in Okinava ( Japan) hat das deutlich skizziert und damit liege ich richtig in meiner Erörterung !!

E*Trade Au. ist meiner Meinung nach einer der
wachstumsstärksten Werte in AU. Die Aussichten
sind weiterhin sehr gut.

E*Trade steigert (mehr als verdopp. seit 07/99)
seine Kundendepots laufend. Es bestehen Barreserven
und ein positiver Cashflow....

Fazit: E*Trade AU. ist stark unterbewertet!!!!

Ich glaube aber, daß sich das inden nächsten
Monaten bis zum Jahresende noch stark ändern
wird.

Es werden immer mehr Partnerschaften geschlossen
und dann wären da noch die Olympiade in Au.

Sollte die Aufmerksamkeit der Investoren durch Artikel
oder eine Analyse wieder geweckt werden, geht der Kurs
durch die Decke....

War mal vor über 1 Jahr mit 10K drin ...habe angefangen bei 2,40E einzusammeln bis 6E hochgerauscht. NICHT verkauft, ich Idiot !!!
UND zugeschaut bis 3,80, um dann endlich zur Besinnung zu kommen und zu verkaufen. Trotzdem war ETR AUS schuld an meiner
Pleite.
Wäre ich jetzt noch drin...na ja....mein Kredit bei der Bank wäre noch grösser.

Bin momentan dabei, den Kredit zurückzuzahlen, indem ich hoffentlich geschickt Aktien an- und verkaufe.

Normalerweise müsste ich ja die Finger weg lassen von ETR AUS, aber die fundamentalen Aussichten sind damals wie heute einfach genial.
Also lege ich mir wieder einge Stücke zu.

Problem immer noch : Wer bereitet den Weg vor für ETRADE AUS ,so wie es damals der Internet-Investor (jetzt GSC-Research) vom Apollo-Verlag gemacht hat ?

Welche Analysten und Fonds erkennen endlich das wahre Potential von ETRADE AUS ?

Übrigens mein Kursziel : 3,00E in 6 Monaten.

entschieden........(weil ich v. E*Trade AU. überzeugt bin!)

Heute könnte man (ich) sich natürlich über entgangene Gewinne
ärgern.

Mein Motto: Alles was jetzt kommt ist steuerfrei.....

Und ich glaube ,es kommt noch einiges

Wir haben jetzt wieder Kurse wie Anfang 99 und das
Unternehmen hat alle "Visionen" bestätigt, wegen
denen man im letzten Jahr gekauft hatte.

(!!Und es gibt noch soviel Möglichkeiten für die Zukunft!!)

Ich bleib dabei! Wenn die Masse durch Analysten etc.
wieder aufmerksam gemacht werden, sollte der Kurs bei
den fundamentalen Daten tatsächlich durch die
Decke gehen.

Eben wurde der Rest meiner Order zu 1,48 € in BER ausgeführt, Durchschnitt jetzt 1,46€ .

Da dieser (gute) Wert derart rumdümpelt, werde ich diesmal ETR AUS ganz genau beobachten und sofort reagieren, wenn sich wieder eine Tendenz nach Süden abzeichnen
SOLLTE.

Denke aber, dass bald wieder mit ETRADE AUS zu rechnen ist !

To assist in the research and selection process E*TRADE have partnered with Morningstar Australia to provide Morningstar`s Fund Quick Search(TM) tool and in-depth fund profiles (Quick Takes(TM)).

"With the E*TRADE Managed Funds Centre, the entire process can take place in one session. There is no waiting around for information to be received and sent by mail. Previously, the process of buying and selling Managed Funds could have taken up to two weeks, with one week being considered quick. Customers would have to call various fund managers, wait for the prospectus to arrive in the mail, read the prospectus, make an investment decision, complete the application, attach a cheque, return by mail and wait for the application to be processed. E*TRADE has totally automated this process.

"We have set some important benchmarks in the online financial world, including the first to offer Straight Through Processing (STP). We believe this lightning fast full electronic processing for Managed Funds is another industry benchmark," said Michael Deleray.

By aggregating orders E*TRADE can offer wholesale funds at a minimum investment level affordable for the retail investor. Instead of requiring $250,000 to access a wholesale fund, E*TRADE customers can buy funds with just $1,000.

Another benefit, of the all-electronic process is the integrated onfine portfolio management facility that automatically takes care of all record keeping. From the moment a customer clicks to buy or sell, the customer`s records are automatically updated to display their new fund details alongside any cash or direct equity holdings they may have with E*TRADE Australia.

"There`s no need for our customers to dump the proverbial shoe box on their accountants desk at tax time anymore. All relevant tax-related `information is held in one place on the website under My Portfolio," said Mr Deleray.

In addition to saving time and effort, the E*TRADE Managed Funds Centre also saves money. There are no entry fees, no exit fees, no transaction or brokerage fees and very low ongoing fees. Ongoing fees are comprised of a fund manager expense plus an E*TRADE portfolio fee. As most of the funds arc wholesale funds the median ongoing fee works out at less than 2.0% pa. These fees compare favorably with retail funds that typically charge 3-4% entry or exit fees plus up to 2.5% pa in ongoing fees.

Australien ist sehr beschränkt was das Expansion angeht. dort läuft Wachstum wohl nur noch durch Verdrängung, und das geht zu Lasten der Marge.
Habe Etrade inzwischen abgeschrieben und werde bei etwas beseren Kursen verkaufen.

E*TRADE beendet Joint Venture mit CPR


Der Online-Broker E*TRADE gab heute bekannt, daß ein Abkommen unterzeichnet wurde, den 34%igen Anteil am Joint Venture CPR-E*TRADE an die französische CPR zu verkaufen. Beide Unternehmen hatten unterschiedliche Zukunftsaussichten für die gemeinsame Firma, deshalb habe man sich zur Beendigung entschlossen. Der Preis für die 34%ige Beteiligung soll bei 82 Mio. Euro liegen.

Die Auflösung des Joint Ventures wird den Markennamen "E*TRADE" an das Unternehmen zurückgeben, CPR-E*TRADE muß daraufhin seinen Namen ändern.

bei etrade sind die dt. Anleger bös übers Ohr gehauen worden.
Etrade au ist kitzkleiner Onlinebroker, da AUstralien und Neuseeland einfach zu dünn besiedelt sind. Ein Expansion nach Asien ist aus kulturellen Gründen nicht möglich, ferner würde da Etrade USA sich nicht die Butter vom Brot nehmen lassen.

Wenn Etrade Au Ende 2000 auf 2€ kommt, kannst froh sein.

Etrade USA expandiert, wenn überhaupt. SO einen Aufgabe übergibt man nicht einen kleinen Franchise Nehmer, sondern neuen Partnern direkt vor Ort, und jede asiatische BAnk wäre froh gleich mit der US-Mutter ins Gespräch zu kommen, anstatt den Umweg über AUstralien.
