Prodacta AG launches across-the-board restructuring drive
The new Managing Board has received the go-ahead from the
Supervisory Board for its restructuring concept. A study by
Roland Berger & Partner expanded on the ideas in this
concept and confirmed its premise.
The restructuring concept calls for Prodacta AG to return to
its successful core competencies. These cover the entire
value chain in the area of e-business infrastructure for
companies of all sizes - consulting, planning,
implementation and training. A particular specialty is
customer relationship management for mid-sized companies.
Units not part of Prodacta`s core competencies will be sold.
In order to give this restructuring process a solid
financial base, Messrs. Uhl and Ehrle have sold the majority
of their shareholdings (which total 40%) to major
shareholders GoldZack AG and plenum AG as well as other
financial investors. Gontard & MetallBank AG managed the
deal. The major shareholders have enabled Prodacta AG to
make a fresh start financially by allocating over
DM 9.0 million in cash to additional paid-in capital.
The company`s earnings situation has been affected in
particular by a series of one-time restructuring expenses.
The result is a projected EBIT for 2000 amounting to
DM -14 million before amortization of goodwill. The sales
estimate for 2000 was adjusted to around DM 35 million due
to the disposal of operating units. Fiscal year 2001 is
expected to bring sales growth of over 10% and a break-even
figure for income from operations. Prodacta AG aims to
achieve growth exceeding market rates for the subsequent
years.
Particularly noteworthy features of the restructuring
concept include reductions in the premises occupied,
extraordinary depreciation/amortization, streamlining of
administrative operations, recruiting of additional
qualified employees and strengthening of operations
management. The middle management level will be eliminated
entirely from Prodacta`s corporate structure, with the
company`s operational units now being structured into
tightly focused profit centers that report directly to the
Managing Board.

Die Firma hat dieses Jahr Umsatzrückgang!!! (80 mille versprochen anfang 2000. jetzt sind s 35 mille, ferner wollte man in 2000 ein paar mille gewinne machen, jetzt sind 14 mille verluste. aber tröstet euch: in 2001 wirds sagenhafte 10% umsatzplus geben
