Wahrscheinlich sind das die gleichen Analysten, die Netlife empfehlen.

XML repräsentiert eine Darstellung von Daten, die dann beispielsweise von Java genutzt werden.

Ich habe mich auch schon eine weile mit der Aktie befasst ...
Das Umfeld XML ist sehr interessant. In diesem Format können zum Beispiel Textdateien
abgespeichert werden. Analog *.doc bei Word. Der Unterschied liegt jedoch darin, dass
XML ein allgemein definierter Standard ist und mit unterschiedlichen Tools diese Datei
bearbeitet werden kann.
Dies ist nur ein kleiner Anwendungsbereich von XML. Er ist jedoch auch dem IV Laien zugänglich.

Der momentane Preis ist nun wirklich nicht mehr gerechtfertigt (mehr als 100% Umsatzwachstum, Umsatzmultiple KUV ca. 10 zum
jetzigen Kurs usw., alles weitere auf deren hp). Nur so zum Zeitvertreib, ich bin auch noch nicht fertig mit dem beobachten.

EXcelon CEO Sees Profits, Revenue Growth

Boston, Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) -- EXcelon Corp., which changed its name in
January after refocusing on Internet software, will be profitable by year-end,
with sales of new products increasing to more than $20 million, Chief
Executive Robert Goldman said.

EXcelon, formerly Object Design Inc., has been using its older business --
selling database software for telecommunications networks -- to fund new
software development, Goldman said. The company`s new programs use a
computer language called XML, or extensible markup language, to allow
customers to set up business- to-business trading hubs.

``Business-to-business software is going through the roof,`` Goldman told the
Bloomberg Forum in Boston. The new software products ``will do $20 million
for 2000 and $40 million-plus in 2001,`` he said.

The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company lost $7.14 million in 1999
compared to a $4.82 million profit in 1998. That loss was caused by its
investment in developing the new software, which eXcelon began selling last
year.

The new business-to-business software accounted for $5.4 million in
second-quarter revenue, out of total sales of $19.1 million. That`s a 54 percent
increase from business-to-business software sales of $3.5 million in the first
quarter.

Acquisitions

``If that ramp continues, (the business-to-business software revenue) will in
two to three quarters surpass the size of the database business,`` Goldman
said. ``It may make sense to split off or spin off`` the database business at that
point, he said.

EXcelon`s shares fell 1/16 to 7 1/8. The shares have more than doubled during
the past 12 months, although they`ve dropped 74 percent from their 52-week
high of 27 1/2. The company`s market value now is about $209 million.

EXcelon`s stock is undervalued at the moment, Goldman said. Because of
that, the company won`t make acquisitions or consider being bought by a
bigger company until its stock price rises, he said.

``With the stock price where it is right now, we don`t have the currency to be
an acquirer,`` he said. ``To sell the company at these prices doesn`t make
sense.``

Goldman said he believes eXcelon would be fairly valued at $800 million to $1
billion. One rival, webMethods Inc., has a market value of $3.2 billion, while
another, OnDisplay Inc., was bought by Vignette Corp. for $1.7 billion last
month.

Nachholbedarf Excelon entsprechend haben muß. Vielleicht werden
die Investoren jetzt wieder darauf aufmerksam, welch ein gesundes
Unternehmen hier eine lange Zeit vernachlässigt wurde! Also funda-
mental ist hier ohnehin alles klar und die Charttechnik ist ebenfalls
sehr verheißungsvoll. Beeindruckend ist die Tatsache, daß sich EXLN

Denke, daß viele, die bei $7 eingestiegen sind, erstmal bei $14 Kasse gemacht haben. Doch bereits am Ende gings gestern wieder nach oben, so daß wir den Wiederstand hoffentlich bald geknackt haben.

Von der Bewertung her ist ja bei einer MK von 393 Mio wirklich noch genug Spielraum, um noch viel höhere Kurse zu sehen. Also ne knappe Milliarde kann man dem Wert schon zubilligen finde ich.

Der Wert wird aufgrund seiner guten Vermarktungsstrategie immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen. Auch charttechnich sieht alles super aus. Die B2B-Branche boomt. Und gerade Excelon profitiert davon. Den nächsten Widerstand sehe ich erst bei 21 Euro.
Also wartet nicht zu lange mit dem Einstieg.

Die Nasdaq dümpelt bei ca. 3.900 Punkten herum und wir haben
das Beste noch vor uns.
Ich denke, zum Jahresende sollten durchaus Kurse um die 25$ erreichbar sein.
Excelon wird im 4. Quartal profitabel. Wir haben hier keine Blase und die Kundenliste ließt sich auch super.

Ich sehe bei EXLN auch keinen Grund für überzogene Bescheidenheit.
Es gibt genügend Unternehmen mit deutlich geringerer Substanz aber
einer dennoch höheren Marktkapitalisierung. Meiner Ansicht nach wird
dieses Mißverhältnis bald zugunsten Excelons aufgehoben, da der Wert
jetzt erst wieder Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht. In einem positiven
Marktumfeld hat EXLN den Markt an den jeweiligen Tagen immer outper-
formt und so wird es auch noch weitergehen. Sollten die Anleger wie-
der von der Euphorie gepackt werden, dann sind die $ 25, die wir
schon mal hatten, eher bescheiden, denn sie waren damals schon nicht
dem Unternehmen angemessen. Schließlich steht auch der Break Even
vor der Tür...
Außerdem: wenn andere hier im Board nicht auf EXLN aufmerksam werden
wollen, sollen sie es bleiben lassen. Wir können auch ohne die an-
deren unseren Spaß haben!

@ Parmides - Habe mal versucht, im CMRC-Board etwas Werbung für EXLN zu machen bzw. die Heissdüsen mal auf einen noch fast unbekannten B2B Wert hinzuweisen. Gleicher Erfolg wie Hansa in Liga 1.

@ Blaublut - verfolge den Thread schon sehr lange. Bin seit Januar 2000 investiert, damals noch Object Design. Mein Spruch war wirklich nur Spaß.

ADSX habe ich nahezu auch schon 8 Monate. Habe mich doch geärgert, im Hype nicht verkauft zu haben. Auf dem jetzigen Niveau kann man kaum etwas falsch machen.

Meine letzte spekulative Aktion war der Kauf von Symphonix Devices WKN 912 376. Bei SMPX geht es um Hörgeräte-Technik. Sie haben gerade eine neues Produkt gelaunched. Für mich wichtig - Siemens ist im Boot.
Gute Infos im Thread von Fortuna3.

Ansonsten bin ich gerade dabei mir Calls auf die Fallen Angels zu kaufen. Lucent und MCI Worldcom habe ich gestern eingesackt.

Symphonix solltest Du Dir mal anschauen.

Um mich bei eurer munteren Debatte um andere interessante Werte anzuschließen, hätte ich da noch ein paar Werte aus dem Biotech-Sektor, meine Vorschläge dabei sind:
Praecis (PRCS) und ID Biomedical (IDBE).
Ersteres eher etwas konservativer (sofern man das bei Biotechs sagen kann), letzterer hochspekulativ, aber mit einer super Produktpipeline und somit auch als Übernahmekandidat gehandelt. Bei IDBE läßt sich wohl auch kurzfristig ein bißchen was rausholen.
Ansonsten verweise ich auf eine meiner Lieblingszockeraktien, nämlich General Magic.
Für weitere Informationen schaut doch einfach mal in den entsprechenden Threads nach! Viel Glück weiterhin und auf steigende Excelons (heute tut man uns ja wieder den Gefallen!)!

zugesetzt. Nach einem kurzen Ausflug auf 336 Dollar ging es runter bis auf 44,50 Dollar. Seither konnte sich das Papier auf rund
100 Dollar erholen. Fazit: Mit einem MUV von 22 auf Basis der diesjährigen Umsätze ist das Unternehmen für diesen Wachstum
sbereich moderat bewertet. Der Hype bei B2B-Aktien stand einer grösseren Popularität des Unternehmens bisher im Weg. Und
noch haben nur wenige verstanden, welche Bedeutung die Integrationstechnologie für den B2B-Sektor hat. Aber schliesslich
dauerte es auch rund ein Jahr, bis Wall Street die Bedeutung von Firmen wie Exodus begriffen hatte

Hey Leute,
ich habe Infospace nach der übertriebenen Reaktion auf die GO2Net Übernahme gekauft. Wir hatten zwischendurch einen Rebound von 25 auf ca. 43 USD. Da finde ich eine solche Reaktion normal. Der schlechte Markt kommt natürlich noch hinzu.

Zum Jahresende setze ich schon auf Kurse um die 50/55 USD.

Mal sehen, was unser Baby heute macht. Ich fürchte, der Markt wird noch weiter nachgeben.
