$ bewertet, also ca. 1/8 von Citrix.

GraphOn`s GO-Global to Deploy Ericsson`s Standard Office Environment to Ericsson Employees Worldwide Thin, server-based software to enable real-time computing, telecommuting solution for Ericsson`s 100,000 workers from anywhere, over any connection.

CAMPBELL, CA - December 6, 1999 - GraphOn Corporation (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com) today announced that Ericsson
(www.ericsson.se) has certified GraphOn`s GO-Global software (soon to
become part of GraphOn`s Bridges product) for integration into its Standard
Office Environment (ESOE), providing a real-time computing and
telecommuting solution for Ericsson employees worldwide.

Using GO-Global, or Bridges, within Ericsson`s tested and approved
hardware and software environment will allow internal access of
business-critical applications from any location in the world over the Internet or a dial-up connection from Windows PCs. The company can now
centralize the management of server-based applications and deploy them
      unchanged.

GraphOn`s Bridges is thin, server-based software that connects any UNIX,
Linux or Windows applications to any display device over any connection,
without reducing performance or functionality. GO-Global, soon to become
the UNIXBridge component of Bridges, provides a fast and reliable way for
ESOE users and Ericsson employees to access applications over any
connection, such as the Internet or dialup.

"GraphOn`s thin, server-based software is ideal for the larger enterprise with a global presence, such as Ericsson," said Robin Ford, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of GraphOn Corp. "GO-Global, or Bridges, allows Ericsson to centralize control of its applications, alleviating
office-by-office and desktop-by-desktop installation worries and guarantees
that any authorized Ericsson employee can access the latest company
      software from anywhere," said Ford.

      www.nasdaq.com
      www.thinplanet.com (Technik)
      www.graphon.com

mich damit so alleine ;-). Im ersten Beitrag habe ich übrigens zwei-
mal Mist geschrieben. Zum einen ist die Marktkap. nur 200 Mill. $,

      Harmons Vermutung:

With its girth and depth -- not to mention substantial revenue and positive earnings --
the other appealing thing about SCOC to me is that the Linux companies with market caps
north of $5 billion to $20 billion may need to acquire SOMETHING LIKE SCOC to round
out there offerings, boost their revenue and add some dimension to the
Linux push. Why not Linux-UNIX under one company?

      Frohes neues jahr!

      Raise the Red Hat
      Wednesday December 29 11:24 AM

Red Hat, the leading distributor of the Linux operating system, says it plans to expand
distribution and support within mainland China in anticipation of next year`s Windows 2000
roll-out. The announcment comes less than two months after GraphOn, a San Jose-based
thin-client applications provider that allows Windows-based applications to run on top of
Linux operating system, signed a series of partnerships with Chinese companies looking to
speed Linux adoption within the Chinese goverment, educational system and private
enterprise community. Some technology watchers interpreted the November partnership as
an early sign that the Chinese government, which has battled long and hard with U.S.
software firms over intellectual property protection issues, favors the community-owned
Linux license over Windows NT and proprietary unix derivatives.

Red Hat is working with Sybase to develop a simplified Chinese language version of Red
Hat Linux and is planning a January release. South China Morning Post

      Hallo Tschernobyl,

Completion of Class A and B Warrant Redemption Provides Aggregate Capital Infusion of $18 Million from Warrant Exercises

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2000--GraphOn Corporation, (Nasdaq: GOJO) (www.graphon.com), developers of web-enabling software, today announced the completion of the previously announced redemption of its A and B common stock purchase warrants issued as part of its initial public offering on November 12, 1996 (IPO Warrants). Exercises of Class A and B warrants prior to the warrant redemption date of January 24, 2000 resulted in an aggregate capital infusion of approximately $17.3 million. Any IPO Warrants not exercised prior to the warrant redemption date will be redeemed by GraphOn at $.05 per share. As previously announced and included in the $18 million aggregate amount, GraphOn received $728,000 from the exercise of approximately 110,000 underwriter units issued in connection with its initial public offering.

The exercise of warrants brought total primary shares to approximately 13.9 million shares from a pre-redemption level of 11.1 million shares. Currently, 17.5 million shares are diluted. The Company intends to allocate warrant exercise proceeds to its ongoing research and development, marketing and sales objectives, as well as expanding international alliances and joint ventures.

Ed Becmer, CFO, commented, "This recent capital infusion from pre-redemption of warrant exercises should position us well for growth in 2000. This capital will enhance and expand our continued progress on key business initiatives, ongoing development of web-based software deployment technology and new releases of our Bridges products."

GraphOn (GOJO) Provides GO-Joe to Connect DNA Researchers

GraphOn (GOJO) Provides GO-Joe to Connect DNA
Researchers Worldwide for National Research Council of Canada Genome
      Project

CAMPBELL, Calif. and HALIFAX, Nova Scotia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan.
31, 2000--GraphOn Corporation today announced that it is providing the
National Research Council of Canada (NRC) with GraphOn GO-Joe(TM)
connectivity software to enable researchers around the world to access
the hundreds of applications and databases at the Canadian
Bioinformatics Resource (CBR) over the Internet and Canada`s CANARIE
Optical IP advanced network, CA*net 3.
      "We discovered GraphOn`s GO-Joe through Sun Microsystems`
i-Planet," said Terry Dalton, IT/NOC Manager for the NRC Institute for
Marine Biosciences which houses CBR`s main servers. "We have found it
to be a very effective way for Windows based PC`s to access highly
sophisticated number crunching and graphics-intensive applications and
data over any kind of Internet connection."
The NRC created the Canadian Bioinformatics Resource to more
efficiently conduct its internal genomics research programs and to
provide bioinformatics services to researchers throughout Canada. The
CBR Website (http://www.cbr.nrc.ca) now provides many free services to
researchers over the Internet and facilitates collaborations among
genomics groups worldwide. Because potential CBR users operate on a
variety of computer platforms, CBR had to find a way to enable users
to use its data resources and applications securely over any speed of
Internet connection, including dial-up, using a standard browser
interface on any standard Windows PC.
GraphOn and Sun`s i-Planet offered a solution. Today the NRC is
      using GraphOn GO-Joe (to be named "Bridges(TM)" Q1 2000)
enterprise-level Java connectivity software to deliver a common,
single-source Sun Solaris environment to remote researchers`
Windows-based PC`s. Essential security for these connections is
provided by the i-Planet application infrastructure products, offered
      by the Sun-Netscape Alliance.
"With GraphOn providing the connectivity and i-Planet providing
the security, we are much closer to our goal of bringing together
researchers from industry, government and academic institutions to
speed innovation in genomics and bioinformatics research." said
      Dalton.
GraphOn`s GO-Joe connectivity software is currently being used
with about 100 concurrent licenses to access applications and data
residing on Sun Enterprise 4000 HPC class servers at the CBR main site
in Halifax and smaller servers in Canada and in New York. "We are
pleased with the performance of GO-Joe and i-Planet. This combination
streamlines and centralizes administration, provides security, a
single point of entry and a standard look and feel to the client
regardless of the back-end infrastructure," Terry Dalton said.
NRC expects to be expanding the scope of the Canadian
Bioinformatics Resource over the next year to keep pace with the
increasing level of genomics activities around the world. The impact
of genomics and associated bioinformatics on the life sciences
(medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fisheries, and forestry) will
be akin to the computer revolution in the 20th century.
"GraphOn is honored to provide a cost-effective pathway for
researchers to share important information that will have significant
impact on mankind`s future." Said GraphOn CEO and President, Walt
Keller. "The cost-efficiency and performance of GO-Joe connectivity,
i-Planet security and negligible investment required on the client
side should encourage wide participation in this important effort."
About the National Research Council of Canada
NRC, Canada`s premier science and technology research
organization, is a leader in scientific and technical research, the
diffusion of technology and the dissemination of scientific and
technical information. Working in partnership with innovative
companies, universities and research organizations world wide, NRC
enhances Canada`s social and economic well-being and creates new
opportunities for Canadians. Through knowledge, research and
innovation, NRC and its partners are expanding the frontiers of

GraphOn Announces Beta Versions of Bridges Web-Enabling Software for UNIX and Linux OEM

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2000--GraphOn Corporation (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com) today announced it will release OEM beta versions of its web-enabling software Bridges for UNIX(R) and Linux(R), providing fast access of UNIX and Linux applications from virtually any desktop device over any connection with no additional hardware and without changing a single line of an application`s code.

Bridges 1.0 for UNIX and Linux join GraphOn`s previously announced Bridges for Windows(R) (WinBridge OEM), which instantly web-enables any 32-bit Windows application from virtually any desktop device over any connection. Bridges for Windows is licensed by Corel Corporation to provide fast access to server-based Windows applications from Corel(R) LINUX(R) OS desktops, and by Compuware(R) to instantly web-enable enterprise-level applications deployed with their UNIFA CE(R) development environment.

The beta versions of Bridges 1.0 for UNIX and Linux will feature increased stability and functionality, including 24 bit color support, enhanced session configuration, and client and server backing store, which allows users to save configuration and display information. In addition, icons can be created and saved to the desktop to directly launch connections to applications web-enabled, or published, by Bridges. The public release of Bridges 1.0 will replace GraphOn`s current family of server-based software products which includes, GO-Global, the first thin client PC X server, GO-Joe, the first thin client X server for Java, and GO-Between, the first thin client X server for multi-user Windows NT.

The OEM versions of Bridges 1.0 for UNIX and Linux are scheduled for beta release by the middle of February and will initially support Solaris 2.6/2.7 and HPUX 10.2/11. Operating systems based on Linux 2.2, including Red Hat Linux 6.x, are scheduled for beta release by the end of first quarter 2000. Desktop support for the beta version will include a very small native Windows client that can be run on any 32 bit Windows-based desktop device, and a tiny Java client that can be run on any Java-enabled device, such as a web browser.

With support for UNIX, Linux, and Windows applications, GraphOn Bridges is a complete, cross-platform application deployment solution for independent software vendors (ISVs) needing to web-enable their full-featured, interactive applications. Bridges can be integrated and bundled with desktop applications, and requires no extensions, add-ons or code rewrites.

GraphOn -- GOJO -- Files for Trading on Nasdaq National Market

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 2000--GraphOn Corporation (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com), developers of web-enabling software for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, today announced that it has filed an application for trading its shares on the Nasdaq National Market.

GraphOn has been trading under the ticker symbol GOJO on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market since August 1999 and filed for listing on the Nasdaq National Market last Thursday, February 10, 2000 after meeting the requirements for National Market qualification.

"GraphOn has had a loyal shareholder following on the SmallCap Market and expects that following to increase substantially if we move to the National Market," said GraphOn CEO and President, Walt Keller. "Trading on the National Market will give GOJO additional exposure and help us take advantage of opportunities, such as growing interest from large institutional investors."

GraphOn management says filing for listing on the Nasdaq National Market is a significant step toward increasing its visibility and shareholder value. "We have no debt outstanding and we are in a healthy cash position to grow our business," said Ed Becmer, GraphOn CFO. "We are in an aggressive position to create and acquire technologies that blur the lines between operating systems and make applications available to anyone over any connection anywhere in the world on any desktop or Internet-connected device."

in meinem Stall.

Man braucht keinen Terminal-

      Werde trotzdem Graphon beobachten.

      Hallo ihr beiden!

Börsenbauer, denk mal an China. Graphon hat bereits inst. Kunden in China.

      Quelle:
      http://moneycentral.msn.com/scripts/webquote.dll?ipage=qd&Sy…

Man sollte also die richtigen rauspicken.

GraphOn (GOJO) Moves to New, Larger Corporate
      Headquarters to Accommodate Company Growth

      CAMPBELL, CA - February 25, 2000 -- GraphOn Corporation
      (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com), developers of Bridges, web-enabling
software for Windows®, UNIX®, and Linux®, today announced it is moving
its corporate headquarters from Campbell, California to a new, custom
building in Morgan Hill, California in an ongoing effort to accommodate the
company`s current and expected growth. GraphOn`s expansion into a new
headquarters, which is twice as large as the Campbell office, follows the
opening of its international sales and engineering headquarters in Reading,
UK near the end of last year.

"The move to a much larger corporate office is the result of GraphOn`s
growth in the last year and our success as web-enabling pioneers in the
UNIX and Linux software markets," said Robin Ford, Executive Vice
President, Sales and Marketing of GraphOn. "In addition, as we expand into
the much larger Windows market with our Bridges for Windows software, we
will need to increase key personnel. Our new building, which is located in
the beautiful, affordable, and less congested Morgan Hill area of Silicon
Valley, provides GraphOn with the space and environment necessary to
attract talented sales, marketing, and engineering talent."

GraphOn Bridges is a complete, cross-platform application deployment
solution for independent software vendors (ISVs) needing to web-enable their
full-featured Windows, UNIX, and Linux applications. Bridges for Windows is
licensed by Corel Corporation to provide fast access to server-based
Windows applications from Corel® LINUX® OS desktops, and by
      Compuware® to instantly web-enable enterprise-level applications deployed
      with their UNIFACE® development environment.

As of Monday, February 28, 2000, GraphOn`s corporate headquarters will be
located at 400 Cochrane Circle, Morgan Hill, California 95037. All telephone
and fax numbers will change with the relocation, however, the current
contact numbers will forward automatically for approximately four months.
Email addresses and website URLs will remain the same.

      Ships Bridges for Windows 1.0
      MORGAN HILL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 29, 2000--

Web-enabling software allows application developers to deliver full-featured Windows applications over the Internet without rewriting code or third-party add-ons

GraphOn Corporation (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com), a leading innovator of thin, server-based technology, today announced it has begun shipping Bridges for Windows 1.0, a software solution that allows software developers, or independent software vendors (ISVs), to easily and cost effectively web-enable complex, feature-rich Windows applications for full-featured access over the Internet. ISVs can deliver Windows applications across multiple platforms without modifying the application`s code or requiring costly add-ons such as Windows Terminal Server(R).

"Bridges for Windows 1.0 is specifically designed to allow large ISVs, such as our customers Compuware and Corel, to provide fast access to their full-featured Windows applications over the Internet," said GraphOn Executive Vice President, Robin Ford. "Because Bridges is application focused and not integrated into the operating system, we are able to offer ISVs the ability to customize and private label our software, distinct advantages over the competition."

Before GraphOn Bridges, ISVs had to direct their customers requiring server-based access to Windows applications to a third party. By integrating and bundling Bridges with their Windows applications, ISVs are able to maintain account control and web-enable their customer`s Windows applications. Applications deployed through Bridges can be seamlessly integrated with the user`s desktop and accessed through a tiny Java applet, Netscape plug-in, or native Windows and Linux clients.

The Bridges Development Kit provides ISVs with the tools to control and allows processing to be distributed based on the characteristics of their specific application. Developers can dynamically distribute processing between client and server components to maximize performance, scalability, and client integration. This dynamic distribution optimizes the speed and display of the application, while reducing network traffic and server processor load.

GraphOn Bridges is the web-enabling solution that extends Windows(R), UNIX(R), and Linux(R) applications over the Internet with complete application functionality at the desktop. Bridges enables web delivery of new and existing full-featured desktop and server-based applications to multiple client platforms, and provides the development tools to enhance application performance, scalability, and integration with desktop devices.

Bridges for Windows is licensed by Corel Corporation to provide fast access to server-based Windows applications from Corel(R) LINUX(R) OS desktops, and by Compuware(R) to instantly web-enable enterprise-level applications deployed with their UNIFACE(R) Jti development environment.

      Hallo Plumpaquatch!

Dann

diesen Weg gingen. Das ganze ist aber bestimmt schon eine
Zeit lang her.

MORGAN HILL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--GraphOn Corporation, (Nasdaq: GOJO) (www.graphon.com), developers of Bridges web-enabling software, today announced an OEM licensing agreement with GoldMine Software Corporation. The agreement will allow GoldMine to use Bridges software to web-enable all of its HEAT family of products and customer relationship management (CRM) products, including the company`s award winning applications HEAT(R) and GoldMine(R) FrontOffice 2000(TM). GoldMine will be able to provide users with server-based access to their applications from any location in the world, with complete functionality across multiple platforms and networks, and without modifying the application`s code or requiring costly add-ons.

According to the agreement, GoldMine has licensed GraphOn`s Bridges software to web-enable GoldMine`s entire family of software applications, including GoldMine FrontOffice 2000, the industry`s first CRM solution for the broad mid-market. GoldMine management also intends to expand its per seat licensing of Bridges technology to enable the new application service provider (ASP) market to rent GoldMine business solutions over the Internet.

"GraphOn`s Bridges for Windows provided GoldMine with the means to quickly, seamlessly and effectively meet the increasing demand for full featured, web-enabled access to HEAT and CRM solutions," said GoldMine Divisional President, Edwin Gear. "We can now give organizations a complete set of business tools and a distinct competitive advantage by extending the full functionality of GoldMine`s solutions to anyone in the world with a web browser and Internet connection. This is about optimizing our solutions in a way that is easy to install and use, and extends the use of our systems through the web as a key user interface."

"I`m very excited about our agreement with GoldMine Software, which has a potential value of several million dollars. Our web-enabling technology is designed to provide software developers, such as GoldMine, with the ability to quickly and seamlessly create server-based, or web-enabled, versions of their applications," said GraphOn CEO and President, Walt Keller. "GraphOn`s Bridges will enable GoldMine to provide mission-critical business solutions that can be accessed from any desktop or web browser, over any remote connection, including the Internet or dial-up, anywhere in the world."

The HEAT Division of GoldMine Software Corporation focuses on integrated solutions that allow businesses to proactively support customers and manage assets through their entire life cycle, from procurement to help desk support to retirement. GraphOn Corp. Bridges Highlighted in SIIA Digital Trends Report
      MORGAN HILL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2000--

Software and Information Industry Association Features Case Study of GraphOn Web-Enabling Software in Action

GraphOn Corporation, (Nasdaq:GOJO)(www.graphon.com), developers of Bridges web-enabling software for Windows, UNIX, and Linux applications, was selected for The Trends Report 2000, (http://www.trendsreport.net/), an analysis of six key trends shaping the digital economy just released by the Software and Information Industry Association (http://www.siia.net).

The case study in the SIIA report (http://www.trendsreport.net/software/graphon.html) features the use of GoldMine Software`s iHEAT application by the City and County of Denver`s Help Desk service team. GoldMine licensed GraphOn Bridges to create a new, web-enabled product, iHEAT, identical to the desktop version. Now, Denver support technicians can interact with customer histories in a connected Oracle database from any Internet connection anywhere in the field to support hundreds of computer users throughout its many offices.

GraphOn`s relationship with GoldMine Software demonstrates how independent software vendors (ISVs) can expand their markets and provide their customers with cost savings and the convenience of centralized software management by web-enabling applications either for customers` in-house deployment or rental from application service providers (ASPs). By licensing GraphOn Bridges, GoldMine`s HEAT division was able to deliver a web-enabled version of its HEAT Help Desk software within six weeks, without changing the application`s look and feel and without altering the code or diverting users to any third party hardware or software.

"We believe GraphOn is one of the leaders in shaping the digital economy," said President of the Software and Information Industry Association, Ken Wasch. "The kind of web-enabling GraphOn provides will play a key role in Software as a Service, one of the ways we believe the digital economy will change the way people learn, shop, conduct business, interact with computers and access reliable information."

"GraphOn shares the vision of the SIIA. We are dedicated to developing technology that helps ISVs market products that simplify access to business-critical applications over any connection, including dial-up, network and of course, the Internet," said GraphOn Executive Vice President, Robin Ford. "By web-enabling new and legacy desktop software applications using GraphOn Bridges, independent software vendors (ISVs) can accelerate the time to market of web-enabled versions of their application without the risks and delays associated with rewriting the application for the web."

GraphOn Bridges quickly integrates with existing 32-bit Windows applications and gives ISVs turnkey out-of-the-box web-enabled versions of software applications with their own branding for licensed, volume distribution to enterprise customers to deploy in-house over dial-up, LANs or WANs or for rent over the Internet by application service providers.

HP ServiceControl Manager, introduced today, is a suite of high-powered management tools for multiple HP-UX based HP 9000 servers. HP ServiceControl Manager can be used for central, consistent and highly scalable management of huge numbers of HP UX servers from any Internet-connected Windows(R) PC. GraphOn Bridges for UNIX provides a Web-based GUI for the x-window based integrated tools within ServiceControl Manager.

With GraphOn Bridges, any Windows(R) PC running Internet Explorer 4.01 or later, or Netscape 4.5 or later can use the suite of powerful tools in HP ServiceControl Manager to administer large networked systems of HP-UX servers in multiple clusters of up to 64 managed nodes from any Internet connection.

Today, a substantial portion of the cost of maintaining a server can be tied to administration. When a system goes down, 40 percent of the time it`s caused not by failure of technology or applications, but by the incorrect actions of the system`s operators or administrators. HP ServiceControl Manager with its role-based security capability improves the efficiency and reduced downtime caused by operator error and old-fashioned node-by-node management. It extends the reach of system management tools from single nodes to entire systems of networked clusters, allowing a single server to manage more HP-UX servers than ever before.

"We believe GraphOn Web-enabling some of HP`s ServiceControl Manager integrated tools will add unprecedented convenience to any IT department dealing with systems administration," said Worldwide Marketing Director for Business Critical Computing, Mark Hudson. "HP ServiceControl Manager is designed to reinforce the processes and best practices of effective IT management by centralizing administration and enabling single management tasks to be executed on multiple systems."

"GraphOn Bridges` thin client, server-based architecture means a system manager can take charge, even from off-site locations where the administrator has only a modest Windows laptop and a standard phone line," said GraphOn CEO and President, Walt Keller. "While HP provides highly reliable and sophisticated network hardware and software, GraphOn provides a Web access to some of HP`s powerful administration tools integrated with ServiceControl Manager to manage HP-UX networked systems efficiently, any time, anywhere."

HP`s ServiceControl Manager integrates the key products of the HP-UX ServiceControl system management tool suite such as System Administration Manager (SAM), Ignite/UX, Software Distributor (SD/UX), System Configuration Repository (SCR), Event Monitoring Service (EMS) and Common HP-UX commands.

      Hallo zusammen!

Ich will`s hoffen.

Ferner gibts mit Cancom einen neuen OEM-Kunden.

GraphOn Corp. -- GOJO -- Introduces Bridges for Linux 1.1 at LinuxWorld; Bridges Web-enabling Software
Helps Linux Software Developers Penetrate Windows-Only Markets

MORGAN HILL and SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2000-- (LinuxWorld Expo, booth no. 1342) GraphOn
Corporation, (www.graphon.com)(Nasdaq:GOJO), developers of Bridges web-enabling software, today announced it will unveil its
Bridges for Linux and UNIX version 1.1 at LinuxWorld Expo giving attendees a first-hand look at their solution for delivering Linux
applications to any operating system over any connection. GraphOn Bridges technology web-enables any Linux, UNIX or Windows
application and offers a cross-platform solution for users who want to utilize Linux and Windows server-based applications.

GraphOn Bridges for Linux and UNIX 1.1 integrates with applications seamlessly, enabling independent software vendors (ISVs) to
create out-of-the-box Linux products that can be served to any Internet-connected display device, Macintosh or Windows PC over
Internet connections, dial-up or private networks at the enterprise level or via application services providers (ASPs). GraphOn
Bridges for Linux and UNIX 1.1 is scheduled to begin shipping in September 2000.

"GraphOn`s Bridges technology offers Linux users the best of all worlds," said GraphOn President and CEO Walt Keller. "Bridges
lets people who want the cost-effectiveness, stability and open architecture advantages of Linux servers run their Linux applications
over any connection on their Java devices, Windows PCs, laptops, and other Linux or non-Linux desktops, all without re-writing a
single line of application code. We believe our technology can play a vital role in helping Linux application developers penetrate
substantial markets that until now have been strictly Windows."

"There is clear evidence of gravitation toward open source and pressure on the closed source community to consider Linux as part of
its product mix," said Robert Sutherland, analyst for Technology Business Research Inc., a New Hampshire-based computer and
networking industry research and consulting firm. "Companies such as GraphOn who are coming to market with technology that
allows integration across platforms may be actively contributing to the adoption of Linux since the commercial success of Linux hinges
largely on the ability to integrate with Windows and other operating systems."

GraphOn Bridges combines with existing Windows, UNIX and Linux software applications to create web-enabled versions without
sacrificing the full-featured look and feel of the original application. GraphOn Bridges provides all the convenience of server-based
computing while facilitating application delivery across operating systems to even the most modest PCs or Internet-connected devices
      over virtually any connection.

GraphOn is working with Linux hardware vendors, such as Compaq China, and operating system companies as well as Linux
application developers. In recent announcements, GraphOn and China`s RedFlag Software Co., Ltd., providers of China`s most
popular Linux distribution, formed a joint marketing agreement and announced plans to enable Red Flag Linux desktops to run
Windows applications remotely. GraphOn also signed an exclusive agreement with Corel Corporation (CORL) to market and
distribute WordPerfect Office 2000 for the Windows and Linux platforms and Corel LINUX OS for the desktop as part of
GraphOn`s planned solution for China`s educational system.

Earlier this year, GraphOn also signed a licensing agreement with Corel to integrate GraphOn`s Bridges into Corel LINUX OS, to
provide Corel LINUX OS users with the first complete desktop Linux operating system to run Windows applications unchanged and
      seamlessly over any connection.

GraphOn Sues Citrix & Insignia over UnixFrame, Asks for Injunction
      By Maureen O`Gara

On Monday Citrix productized "UnixFrame," the formally christened MetaFrame for Unix kit that`s been kicking around in beta for a while.

On Tuesday GraphOn, which has been biding its time waiting for the right moment, filed suit against both Citrix and Insignia, which sold Citrix the underlying UnixFrame technology, charging them both with misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition. It wants the stuff enjoined - both a preliminary and a permanent injunction - and it wants unspecified damages including court costs.

The case has been filed in Superior Court in Santa Clara, California and represents the failure of years of on-again, off-again negotiations between GraphOn and Citrix, including some that were reportedly held just recently. On a guess we say that whatever was offered wasn`t enough.

The story actually begins and ends with Sun Microsystems, which back in the summer of 1996 encouraged Insignia, whose technology it was then eyeing to run Windows apps on its gear, and GraphOn, whose technology is currently bundled in iPlanet, to get together. They did and the conversation immediately turned to the idea of Insignia acquiring GraphOn. GraphOn was willing and proceeded to disclose its technology to Insignia under a nondisclosure agreement attached to the suit as Exhibit A. There was also a follow-on Technology Collaboration Agreement that goes much to same point as the NDA that is now Exhibit B in the suit.

GraphOn says it was specifically told by Insignia during the negotiations that Insignia had no Unix-based thin client software in development.

The merger negotiations fell through by early 1997 and GraphOn subsequently learned that Insignia was developing a knockoff product dubbed Keoke 2 that would provide Unix connectivity to thin clients. In January of 1998 GraphOn sent Insignia a letter requesting confirmation that it had not improperly used GraphOn technology in its software.

A few days later Insignia sold its NTrigue product line to Citrix for almost $17.7 million. Some of Insignia`s key engineers went to work for what is now Citrix Systems UK Ltd. Because of GraphOn`s letter half of the proceeds from the sale, $8.75 million, was put into an escrow account to cover any potential liability by Citrix to GraphOn for misappropriating trade secrets.

GraphOn is now saying in its suit that that is exactly what happened although it`s unclear whether it`s limiting its damages claim to just the $8.75 million. It alleges that Insignia, which it is charging separately with breach of contract, played fast and loose with its proprietary ultra-low bandwidth RapidX protocol, its terse rendition of the verbose X and its scheme for keeping X on the server while making 28.8 modems a practical conduit to clients. As a matter of fact its lawsuit claims outright that Insignia sold GraphOn`s technology to Citrix.

GraphOn CEO Walt Keller says he wouldn`t be suing unless he thought he had a valid claim because of the expense. He declined to discuss the evidence or whether it was gleaned from the MetaFrame for Unix beta.

Citrix first tried to get the misappropriation issue laid to rest by suing GraphOn in December 1998 and trying to get a Florida court to decide (CSN No 285). It wanted binding assurances in the form of a declaratory judgment that GraphOn wouldn`t up and sue it some day. It also made an indemnity claim against Insignia for as much as $6.25 million. The case against GraphOn was ultimately dismissed when the court declared there was no controversy.

Keller said at the time that Citrix had offered him $100,000 basically to go away. In their negotiations they could never agree on the ground rules for bringing in a third party to vet the Citrix code. GraphOn was concerned the expert wouldn`t know what he was looking for and didn`t want to be surprised if Citrix eventually productized Keoke 2. Naturally GraphOn was thinking of the upside in damages.

Oh, yes, we did say that the story ends as well as begins with Sun. Well, the litigious ICA-based MetaFrame for Unix, tested in places like Deutsche Bank and the Mayo Foundation, is only for Solaris right now and follows the same pricing model as MetaFrame for Windows, five grand for 15 concurrent users. It enables the delivery and Windows, Java and Unix applications to a single portal and Citrix was counting on it to expand its hegemony, especially with ASPs apparently. Citrix says user licenses for the Windows and Unix products can be interchanged.

Citrix is supposed to extend the new family to Linux, and Caldera, SuSE and TurboLinux have voiced their support as have Compaq on behalf of Tru64 Unix and HP for HP-UX.

Meanwhile, we`re still waiting for GraphOn to defend the patent it bought giving it rights to the technology underlying displaying Windows applications on both Unix and Linux desktops. It would allegedly involve anywhere X Windows is used. It is believed GraphOn will demand royalties from such as Citrix, Sun and IBM as well as the Windows terminals vendors such as NCD and Wyse (CSN No 326).

      Hi!

(odi/c`t)

GraphOn Corp. Ships Bridges for UNIX 1.1 Web-enabling Software
      LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2000--

Instantly Makes UNIX Applications Accessible Through Any Standard Web Browser, Provides Easy Cut-and-Paste between Windows and UNIX Apps, Controls Colors Across Operating Systems and Features Client-side Printing

GraphOn Corporation, (Nasdaq:GOJO) (www.graphon.com), developers of web-enabling software for UNIX, Windows and Linux applications, today announced it is now shipping Version 1.1 of Bridges for UNIX, a high performance software solution that instantly web-enables UNIX applications for access over any WAN, LAN, dial-up or Internet connection by any PC or Internet-connected device. GraphOn Bridges for UNIX lets users access their business-critical UNIX applications through standard Web browsers from anywhere in the world without an X server on the client.

GraphOn Bridges for UNIX puts IT managers and software vendors on the fast track to extend network-centric UNIX applications to today`s low-cost desktops and devices, giving Fortune 500 employees easy, cost-effective access to their business-critical UNIX applications anywhere they can log onto the Internet. GraphOn Bridges for UNIX is also helping to create new options that are highly attractive to cost-conscious enterprises and to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who want to expand markets for their UNIX applications through the Application Service Provider (ASP) channel that rents software over the Internet.

GraphOn was the first software vendor to develop and deliver low bandwidth, high performance remote access connectivity to users of UNIX applications. GraphOn Bridges for UNIX and its predecessors, GO-Global and GO-Joe, have been the solution of choice by large enterprise accounts, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and IBM and benefit tens-of-thousands of UNIX users daily.

"GraphOn Bridges for UNIX answers many enterprises` UNIX software access, maintenance and deployment problems," said GraphOn Executive Vice President, Robin Ford. "For instance, in today`s 24/7 world, too much time is lost having to travel to UNIX-specific sites because of X server and application delivery constraints. GraphOn Bridges for UNIX helps enterprises deliver UNIX application access to users over any type data connection from a standard Web browser."

Bridges for UNIX 1.1 is supported on Solaris, HP/UX and Red Hat Linux server platforms. Features include the ability to cut and paste between the UNIX server and Windows clients, enhanced printing, simultaneous PseudoColor and True Color visuals and reduced amounts of data transferred during normal desktop operation. Supported desktop platforms include Windows NT 4.0/95/98/2000, Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

GraphOn`s Bridges software allows enterprises, ISVs selling into large enterprises and application service providers (ASPs) to easily and cost effectively web-enable their existing complex, feature-rich Windows(R), UNIX(R), and Linux(R) applications for access over both local and wide area networks, dial-up connections, or the Internet.
