Ich denke Scotia Holdings ist auf jedenfall ein Investment wert.
Die Frage die sich natürlich stellt ist ob du bis Sebtember/Oktober Geduld hast.
Scotia kann nach erfolgreicher Zulassung von Foscan in den USA einen riesigen Sprung machen. Jegliche Phantasie und Hoffnung geht momentan von Foscan aus. Zusätzlich sind weitere Applikationsgebiete in der Prüfung. Nach deren Freigabe vergrößert sich der Markt für Foscan, die jetzige Zulassung bezieht sich lediglich auf Head and Neck Cancer.
Weitere Meilensteine werden Bekanntgaben bezüglich Kooperationspartner und Krebskliniken in den USA sein.
Später dann die Zulassung auch in der EU (geplant Ende 2000).
Der Vergleich mit QLT PDT hingt nicht. Schau Dir mal die Kursentwicklung an.
Allein die letzte Pressemeldung von Scotia vom 02.08.2000 obwohl inhaltlich nichts neues brachte schon ein paar Prozent in London und Frankfurt.
Ich persönlich bin bei Scotia schon seit einiger Zeit investiert.
Habe natürlich auch die guten Kurse um 1.90 genutzt um weiter einzusteigen nachdem der Kurs aufgrund einer dilettantischen Veröffentlichung im British Jornal of Medicine um ca 28% eingebrochen war.
Bezüglich Kennzahlen kann ich dir nur die Seite von Scotia empfehlen bzw. http://www.fool.co.uk/ unter den Kürzel SOH ist ein sehr gutes Board und alle News zu Scotia.

Ich denke ich werde in Scotia
auf jeden Fall noch heute investieren.
Bei StemCells bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher,
da ich nicht weiß welche Produkte bereits

heute (10.8.) eine Kaufempfehlung zu Stemcell in der Börsenzeitschrift TELEBÖRSE.
Habe im WO gesucht und Euch gefunden!
Bin sofort bei Stemcell mit 1. Kauf von 1000 Stück eingestiegen. Allerdings habe ich in NY geordert mit Limit $3.88 (= Schlußkurs gestern = Euro 4.32) - hier in Deutschland scheint man ja doch mit Euro 4,80 etwas viel zu bezahlen.
Fällt der Kurs kaufe ich weiter. In fallende Kurse zu kaufen ist zwar börsentechnisch unkorrekt, aber bei der Story glaube ich an einem Boden bei $3.00 und den nehme ich dann auch noch gerne mit - No risk,no fun!
Ein schöner Titel für die nächsten 3 Jahre und dann sehen wir weiter.

Hab zu StemCells was auf meiner Homepage www.blash.de gebracht und die zum Kauf empfohlen. Bin überzeugt von diesem Biotech, aber macht euch keine Illusionen, die verdienen noch lange kein Geld. Ich habe weiter oben neues Thema begonnen zu StemCells, da ich diese Titelzeile leider übersehen hatte. Mehr Meinungen zu StemCells???? Gruß blash.de
Scotia ist noch billig zu haben. Ab Oktober wird es einen riesen Sprung geben. Also nutzt die Chance und geht rein.

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 1, 2000-- Techniclone Corporation (NASDAQ:TCLN - news) today announced that the Company has completed a licensing agreement for a segment of the Vascular Targeting Agent (VTA) technology, specifically related to applications of Photodynamic Therapy agents (PDT) with Scotia Pharmaceuticals Limited. The letter of intent for this deal was announced earlier in the year. The complete terms of the deal have not been disclosed but involve a licensing fee, milestone payments which could total as much as $7M and royalties upon commercialization of a product.
Techniclone recently formed a joint venture with Oxigene Corporation named ARCUS to commercialize the VTA technology. The rights obtained by Scotia were excluded from the joint venture with the exception of any future royalty payments, which will be shared by Techniclone and Oxigene. The VTA proprietary therapeutic platform is designed to specifically target tumor vasculature and subsequently destroy the tumor with various attached therapeutic agents. PDT agents alone have been shown to be effective in treating some forms of cancer.The addition of a targeting agent as provided by the VTA technology could increase the utility of this therapeutic class of drugs. The VTA patent portfolio covers the attachment of most therapeutic agents (including PDT agents) to vascular targeting agents for the purpose of killing the tumor.
Scotia Pharmaceuticals is one of the leading PDT companies in the world. Scotia has developed the next generation of PDT agents which are more efficient and less toxic than their predecessors. PDT works by first loading the specific agents in tumor tissue. The agents are activated by applying light of specific wavelengths to the tumor causing the active agent to kill tumor cells.
