Wer kennt Fibercore?

Fibercore stellt optische Glasfaserleitungen ger, unter anderem in einer Fabrik in Jena.
Ich bin auf den Wert durch die News der letzten Wochen aufmerksam geworden, neben dem bekannten
Nachfragüberhang bei Corning (NYSE: GLW) (ausgehend von einem Umsatz von 17 Mio in den letzten
12 Monaten).

Ich dachte, vielleicht weiß jemand etwas mehr, schon wegen des Werkes in Deutschland.

NEWS from shareholder meeting:- this year revenues will grow to $48M+ - it will be a very profitable year-
new division called FiberCore Machinery that will build unique fiber making equipment and fiber optic
equipment- new process is starting to be implemented - called POVD - it will reduce costs significantyl
and triple capacity. Will first use the process to make preform raw material then expand from there- new
plant in Jena to come online soon. - will keep old plant running because of high demand- the POVD process
is much cheaper and faster than Cornings OVD process (Corning will have to pay Fibercore royalties if they
want to use it)- process improvements at Xtal will yield significantly higher capacity- Asian plant coming this
year- US division will be developed and called InfoGlass - will make multi or single mode fiber depending
on demand -looking at plants in NC, NJ or MA- all new contracts from customers have been 3yr deals
to assure filling new capacity- backlog is very strong - all current capacity is sold- current customers are
willing to finance capacity expansions- Fibercore is the only pure fiber provider in the world - independant
cablers want to/have to buy from them- 2 patents issued - more coming- fiber market expected to outstrip supply over next 4 yrs-
market expected to grow at 30% CAGR based on conservative models- fiber pricing continues to rise-
no comment on NAS listing - company is in a quiet period and can`t discussAll in all very positive. It sounds
like Xtal facility is full of potential. To me the POVD process is the real long term value in the company. Imagine
the cost savings in fiber and the amount of capacity that will be generated. Can you say Qualcomm.
After quiet period ends (couple more weeks) more news on future plans will be announced.Have a nice day.
