EM.TV & Merchandising AG sets up World Brand Management Center in New
York
- New office to coordinate the worldwide licensing and TV-Sales
activities of EM.TV and The Jim Henson Company
- Helen Isaacson appointed President, Worldwide Brand Management
Unterföhring 30 August 2000 - EM.TV & Merchandising AG will set up its
World Brand Management Center in the New York office of The Jim Henson
Company to consolidate and manage the company`s worldwide licensing and
TV-Sales-activities. Having built a worldwide network through
participations and acquisitions in recent months, EM.TV now has
expanded its home base of Munich to include a presence in the Benelux
countries, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Eastern
Europe, Israel, Australia, the United States and South America.
The World Brand Management Center will manage the EM.TV Group`s entire
licensing portfolio of brands and TV-Sales activities, coordinate the
global network of subsidiaries, initiate worldwide licensing agreements
and be responsible for establishing brand strategies and new business
development for EM.TV`s high-quality properties. This new division will
report to a Board of Directors consisting of Thomas Haffa as chairman
of the board (CEO of EM.TV & Merchandising AG), Charles Rivkin (CEO of
The Jim Henson Company) and Hans P. Vriens (Member of EM.TV Board).
From September 1, 2000, Helen Isaacson will be in charge of the World
Brand Management Center`s international licensing activities in her
capacity as President, World Brand Management. Ms. Isaacson joins EM.TV
from Playboy Enterprises International, Inc. where she was President,
Product Marketing and has been in charge of developing and controlling
the entire domestic and international product marketing and licensing
activities since 1997. She started her career in marketing at Tahari,
Ltd. and Murjani on the fashion marketing side before moving on to the
entertainment sector in 1991. From 1991 to 1996 she was Senior Vice
President of International Licensing and Merchandising at Turner Home
Entertainment, a 100% subsidiary of Time Warner, Inc. Before moving on
to her position at Playboy Enterprises in 1997, Ms. Isaacson served as
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Licensing at Marvel Comics Group.
In 1995 Ms Isaacson won the Licensing Industry Merchandisers
Association`s (LIMA`s) International Licensing Program of the Year
Award in recognition of her outstanding merchandising program for the
Flintstones movie.

professionals to oversee the sectors licensing and Brand Management.
Benefiting from her many years of experience in the international media
market and her familiarity with the US media market, she will be
instrumental in expanding and establishing EM.TV`s license and
programming portfolios in the US market and in giving new input into

Merchandising AG.

Nach Aussage der Wertpapierexperten beabsichtige das Unternehmen einen Kurswechsel in seiner Internetstrategie vorzunehmen. Dabei plane man nun, mit einem etablierten Internet Service Provider zusammenzuarbeiten.
Dem Anleger sei nach wie vor ein Engagement in den NEMAX-50-Titel zu empfehlen. Das Kursziel auf Jahressicht betrage 90 Euro.
