Heute ist wohl einer der CEOs zurückgetreten, beim amerikanischen YAHOO gibt`s gute Infos & ein Message-Board:
http://messages.yahoo.com/?action=q&board=GLDN
the parent company CEO resigned
http://messages.yahoo.com/bbs?.mm=FN&action=m&board=16004295…
WSJ GTS could liquidate GLDN
http://messages.yahoo.com/bbs?.mm=FN&action=m&board=16004295…
Hier die Meldung vom 13. September:
Pan European network operator Global TeleSystems, with funding
lines that will last into the second quarter of 2001, is seen by many
as the company in the weakest position.
Merrill Lynch analyst Alex Paterson estimates that the company
needs another $1 billion over the next three years to complete its
business plan.
But Global TeleSystems Vice President of Corporate Development,
Stephen Baus, told Dow Jones Newswires that the company is
"quite comfortable with the situation," and added that GTS had a
range of funding sources to tide the company over until markets
improve.
"It is by no means impossible that we could (delay returning to the
markets) by slowing down investment in the network."
He also said the company could, among other options, liquidate its
63% stake in the Russian-based Golden Telecom Inc. (GLDN),
worth about $460 million.
"I wish the markets were better," Baus said. "In the last two years
the market has been receptive to alternative networks, they are
clearly not now."
