      TRANSCRIPT
      PARADIGM ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES INC.
      Conference Call -- September 19/00

Ladies and Gentlemen this is Paradigm Advance Technologies in
Toronto. I’m Sheldon Rose, with Sacke & Associates, Paradigm
Advance Technologies’ public relations firm. On behalf of the
management team I would like to thank everyone for joining us online
today. On line with us is Paradigm’s Chairman David Kerzner, President
and CEO Eduardo Guendelman, Chief Financial Officer Selwyn Wener,
Executive VP PowerLOC Malcolm Robins, and Chief Technology
      Officer PowerLOC James Gillen.

What we will be doing over the next few minutes is providing a company
overview, highlights of recent announcements as well as a product and
market overview. We will then answer questions that have been
previously e-mailed to us. We have received a lot of questions and will
respond to as many as possible at the end of this overview. We also
welcome follow-up by e-mail at sheldonr@sackepr.com. So with out any
further ado, I would like to introduce Paradigm President CEO Eduardo
Guendelman, to give you a company overview.

      Eduardo:

      Thank you Sheldon

For those who don’t know us very well Paradigm Advanced
Technologies is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. We are becoming
the leading company in the location based business sector, which is a
market that according to experts is about to reach 10 billion in the next
      few years.

We are implementing our technology through partnerships as well as
developing products and services. The other area is that we are
acquiring and merging with companies which we will get into some
details in the next few minutes.

In the other areas, we are developing, acquiring and protecting
intellectual property that we want to license. The company - Paradigm
developed and is developing the architecture which allows us not only
to find devices, find people, find vehicles but communicate with them as
well. We are including in this architecture three components. One is the
mobile unit, which are vehicle mounted or personal location miniature
      devices.

The other component is the tracker or the server. It is that component
hosted in their places that is allowing our partners to control and
manage up to millions of customers in their territory. We are sharing
products and we are also setting-up solutions for our partners. You can
see or you have seen that in the last few weeks we have completed a
number of deals. Our VP will address these in a couple of minutes.

In a nutshell I would like to address some of the major issues. One, we
acquired the patent and we own the right for the patent on GPS. This
will allow us to deal with numerous companies in the automotive
business etc, which are companies that are currently utilizing the
technology that we own. For that model we have built a team that will
be responsible for the licensing of our patent to companies in USA,
Japan, Australia as well as Canada which are the jurisdictions where
      the patent applies.

In the area of corporate growth we have a public relations firm in
Canada as well as a corporate development company in the United
States. We have announced that the company was granted a
significant large grant from the National Research Council of Canada
that selects a small number of companies in Canada that have unique
technologies in that they provide assistance in various ways including
financing. This is the 3rd project for which they selected us, after a
thorough investigation. They looked at our technology and determined
us to be one of the few companies that received a very large grant for
about half a million dollars. As well, we are applying for a much larger
grant and we hope to have some resolution of that very soon.

Discussions of potential assistance to build some manufacturing plants
in the future is also in the works. You have also seen another wave of
management appointments and we just completed a deal with Pangea.
This joint venture with Pangea creates WorldLink, which is a joint
venture which will be totally dedicated to the commercialization of L-Biz
technologies. We are combining the technologies of our companies
which as you know decided not to sell to end users along with the
management entrepreneur technologies of Pangea. This joint venture
      will be addressing several markets.

In the other area, we are a company that has completed many trials and
we are now shipping product that will extend our growth. We have
completed the first stage in our management organization and we have
in house marketing, sales administration, financing, engineering,
production expertise. We will be introducing some of them in the future.
As well, lately we have hired in house council who will be helping us in
the execution of the patent as well as in other areas.

The other areas of growth, is the cost reduction in technology
advances. We are allocating significant resources to our efforts.
Malcolm Robins will address these issues in the next few minutes. In
addition to that, lately we have hired a chief of manufacturing and a
chief of engineering. We are now proceeding with the development with
the second and third generation of our products, which we hope to
launch early next year. As well we have completed the organization of
the board of advisors that consist of people from the financial world,
public relations, corporate development and telecom markets. These
include institutions and people you have met or heard about lately from
      our last few press releases.

So in general, I think we have positioned the company to become truly
a multi-billion dollar organization. And we have a dream team with
experience in growing the business to the next level. We want to thank
you for the cooperation so far.

      Sheldon

That is a brief snapshot of the business and now to tell you some of
recent sales and licensing announcements, I would like to turn the
presentation over to our Executive VP of PowerLOC Malcolm Robins.

Hello everybody thanks for the opportunity and time. Basically as of
today we received a number of specific contracts and agreements with
organizations we call LSPs. I think we have actually been the first
company to create a new acronym following on the original concept of
the ISP. And we have taken the concept a step further by creating a
solution that combines the Internet service provider and the devices
which are the location devices. And that is what we call the LSP
locations provider. They combine the service and combine the
products. We have an agreement already in place, which assuming that
we fulfill our requirements and our estimates for these particular group
of agreements, will be worth over 6 hundred million dollars over the next
3 to 5 years. And in fact some of them are putting up numbers in excess
of what their costs are at this point in time.

Now this has been achieved in fact in only the last 2 months. It took
some time obviously to find the right companies to be our business
partners, we call location service providers, and we are addressing a
number of different markets but we are just scratching the surface at
this time. What we are doing in effect is looking at the industries and
the market segments and the geographic segments from North America
and around the world. We currently have solutions we developed
around our model for asset management for fleet management for
people in personal tracking and for personnel tracking. In some cases
we are working specifically with LSPs to customize our solution and our
product. And in other cases we are developing a broad horizontal
product that can easily be sold directly by a LSP through their own
channels as well as through the retail market. In fact there is just a huge
segment we are working on for new opportunities.

For the current group agreements that are already in place, we are
working actively to implement the project around each of these
customers both for vehicle solutions through announcements we make
through GLSI -- Global Locations Systems Inc. and ItrackPets based in
Washington state. They had very interesting solutions for the pet
industry and pet owners. Special Circuits in fleet management location
solutions in Southeastern US and locations for tracking and recovery.
We have a number of other organizations in fact too many to name or
list that we are negotiating with. Not only in North America but around
the world. We are currently talking to active prospects in Asia in Europe
and South America. Each one may utilize our same standard
architecture, the same business model but the devices might be slightly
      different.

But our technology enables us to work on any carrier’s network and it is
very easy for us to adapt our systems to the local market and the
application involved. Therefore, we can sell our solution that has been
developed 90% the same for everybody, only customizing about 10% of
the requirements. So basically we have great expectations for many of
      the new opportunities.

One of the fundamental opportunities that we provide our LSP with,
differentiates us from other organizations in the market providing GPS
solutions, in that we provide technology product and provision to the
LSP. The technology provides the underlying patent that obviously
most of our investors are familiar with. The carrier architecture for the
technology is the financial strength of the company and leading into
partnerships through the resources and contacts of a very strong
management team throughout the industry, the computer industry, and
in the soliciting and telecom industry.

On the product side, the strength comes from this very powerful
architecture that has been developed by our software development
team as well as the devices. Interesting enough I think that mass market
consumer electronic companies and industrial conglomerates can
provide well-built well-engineered devices. The key differentiate for us
is the entire system, the end-to-end solution that we provide to our LSP,
which combines the carrier grade and provides an intelligent method of
managing the devices from the internet client. When we put this
together we have a modular connect with the architecture, we have
network provisioning. Our LSP can connect through the different
carriers that are out there and can provide different levels of service,
and they can also provide their own unique vertical solution which is
very easily build upon our standard systems.

So where are we today? We are looking really at just the tip of the
iceberg. The industry as a whole for example amounts to less than 3%
of the commercial fleet in the vehicle market. The potential as the price
drops and we push forward in this market is to equip 100%, because
almost any kind of delivery vehicle can benefit from location information
and tracking services. We aim to be the leader in building up the market
from 3% to 100% as fast as possible. We have a good sales team in
place, we are building on that ,on business development people who
have business development and technology experience and are
assisting our LSPs in their various political markets so they can be as
successful. Only if they are successful will we be successful. So I think
that’s as much as I can cover in this short place in time. I would like to
hand this over to our chief technology officer James Gillen

      Thank you Malcolm

It’s a pleasure to be able to speak to you today. As Malcolm has
outlined and Eduardo has given an overview, we are focused on being
the best tracking organization for people, cars, pets and objects quickly
and accurately. And to do that we need to be a leader in the application
of technology not only in proven technologies but we also need to push
the envelope to make our total solution cost effective and reliable. We
are looking at network based location technologies which are
complimentary to GPS in the US and also in Canada and Europe. We
are working hard to provide the ability to locate assets based on their
presence in a cellular network. And this location technology is
complimentary to the more accurate positioning through GPS. It also
helps fill in the gaps when vehicles or people and objects are in
buildings parking garages, etc. So we are looking right now to test and
field trial solutions which combine the best of both technologies for
      different applications.

The 2nd area is that we are trying to reduce the size and cost of
antenna technology, to be able to combine both the GPS satellite radio
with the terrestrial wireless radio which we use for communications, so
that we can get a higher performance and lower cost solution. Now we
are doing this through leveraging relationships both in Taiwan and
Europe as well as the resources of the Canadian government’s
communications research laboratory which has a world reputation in
being a leader in antenna and RF issues. So we expect to be leaders in
solving the problem of how to combine these technologies to get lower
cost and higher performance. Those are basically the two highlights I
wanted to share with you on this particular call and I will certainly be
talking later and will answer some of your specific questions. Thank
      You.

      Thanks James

It’s Sheldon Rose back again. We would like to answer the previously
e-mailed questions to you. Just on a side we have at least 500 callers
on line today so thank you very much for your time.

The first question comes from Durango.

Who are primary direct competitors? Perhaps Malcolm Robins can
      answer that.

Okay I think the best answer right now and I hate to sound glib on this,
is that we really don’t have any direct competitors. In the sense that in
our market space in the way we are providing the end-to- end solution
and enabling technology to channels where we cannot compete directly
with the channel to the end users. We have no direct competitors.
There are a dozen, if not hundreds, of clients out there that produce
GPS tracking devices of various descriptions, companies who have
solutions that provide on a business-to-business basis to end users and
to large corporate fleets. What we have is a 3rd generation solution
where we are really exploiting every aspect of the solution.
Commercialized high volume design and development which will turn
into volume manufactured product -- along with the carrier grade tracker
along with the network. And the aggregation of the network time along
with the full java-based client which provides fleet management
solutions and single user solutions across all different product families.
We have 4 product families. So if you say to me who are the
competitors, I can name specific companies in the vehicle space. There
are people that have made announcements about personal tracking
devices and even some other types of pet tracking devices, but none of
them seem to be commercialized at this point. So before I talk about 1st
flight products, you can go onto the Internet and there are leading
companies in fleet solutions, such as companies like @ Road, @Track,
Fleetboss. But do they compete with us directly, I think not. Coupled
with the fact that as we go about working on our patent issues and the
importance of the patent, remember that the companies we license to
do business with, are including a program that enables them to utilize
the technology covered in our patent and that these other companies
may or may not have already licensed the use of our patent. And of
course that would be under long-term discussion.

Okay, thank you Malcolm. We have another question from Durango and
that’s perhaps Eduardo can respond to.

What’s the greatest threat or obstacle to products to test over the next 1
      to 3 years.

The normal companies of the kind have 3 issues. Can you make it, can
you sell it, and can you grow. In other words can we be able to maintain
or produce products in the technology age and can we provide a
solution with which we would be able to compete with in the market
place. The other question would be, how can we compete and will be
able to compete with carriers and larger companies. And 3rd can we
grow -- will we cope with the very fast growth that we are experiencing.
The answers are very simple. One, we can produce the products and
the proof is in the making. We started shipping pre-production samples
a couple of days ago of a product that is second to none. And we are
allocating a significant part of our resources as we have one -- what we
call the 2nd or 3rd generation about which James gave you some
highlights. So I believe we will maintain the competitive edge. Can we
sell and compete with the large companies? There are two choices.
One is you can go head to head - the other is partnerships. We opt for
the second. And we are currently partnering with a significant number of
companies who are leading companies in different areas. There are
carriers and software giants for different components. We believe that
the key to be able to survive in the long term and become a multi-
billion-dollar company is partnering with strategic companies that have
a global reach. And we are doing so. The 3rd area is can we grow. The
company has decided right from the beginning to locate significant
resources to build a very strong team. We have at the management
level ten people who have been previously CEOs or COOs. More so
from the A list in telecom companies. And we believe this is a strong
team that will lead us to the multi-billion dollar company that we want to
      build.

      Excellent, Thank you Eduardo.

One of the most popular questions over the last week or two has to
deal with the larger stock exchanges. This question comes from Cobbs.
With the increasing amount of volume and the increasing greater
awareness in the business community, does PRAV have any near term
plans to get on a more senior exchange and what would that be?
      Selwyn.

Thank you Sheldon. Hi everybody. We are a reporting issuer and are
current with our financial reports. We are indeed planning a future move
to a more senior exchange such as the American exchange or
NASDAQ. But we have not yet set forth a timetable for this. We are
pleased to announce that we have obtained approval to trade on the
Frankfurt stock exchange in Germany. This will be an additional listing
for Paradigm and we will have a separate stock symbol on the Frankfurt
stock exchange. The symbol will be PG8. Thank you Sheldon.

Thanks Selwyn. Here is another question from Redman Fury. Are there
any other synergetic companies that Paradigm is looking at right now in
      acquiring? Eduardo?

Yes the answer is yes, we are considering and we are in discussions
with a number of companies which I mentioned before. We are looking
for a number of companies that have technologies that we believe are
synergistic with what we are doing. We hope to have news soon to
      relate to our shareholders.

Great, Thank you. Now to have our Chairman David Kerzner involved
      in a question. There are
a hundred and forty-nine references to the patent by other companies
at present. Are they considered to be infringers and if so what are the
plans to sign these companies as licensees or make them pay
      royalties?

Well it’s actually a relief because up until now Selwyn and I had to
answer all the question so this one is an easy one. The idea of being
mentioned in a patent is obviously an area that has to be dealt with by
the patent attorneys, but essentially we have been focused now on
completing the acquisition on the patent because as you may be aware
as an agent for a patent, you are limited to how aggressive you can be
on approaching potential infringers. Now that we have closed the
acquisition of the patent, which took some time, we are now in a
position to turn up the heat. We have now hired an in house council
who will be managing the project as well as outside people who will be
      representing Paradigm.

Thank You David. Now one for our chief technology officer James
Gillen. Are our current and future applications the best technology in
market space, if so why are they superior.

Should I say I’m working here and that is why. This is a complex
question because as Malcolm and I think in his answer or his
presentation at the beginning indicated, we are doing more than most --
almost any other application for location based services that we have
seen today or have announced today. And basically it composes three
core elements. One is smart devices. Devices that have a high local
intelligence that can do such complex things such as manage the time
spent by a school bus making stops, ensuring the load of children at
that stop is the correct number of children or the right children and
reporting to a central dispatcher only if there is an exception. So you
are managing time, you are managing stops on a road, you are
managing cargo loaded. These kinds of local intelligence make the
applications much more affordable and useful.

The 2nd area where we have innovated - is building a virtual carrier.
Essentially there are about 8 choices in North America that can be
used to communicate with devices. We have chosen to abstract the
complexities of these carriers so that our applications and our LSP
basically do not have to be concerned with the underlying network
technology of the positions set up to work with world markets through
the implementation of GSM and GPRS technology which is applicable in
world markets. We have essentially build a unique capability in this
abstraction in the individual carriers to be give a complete seamless
solution transparent for LSPs to build their application value in their
      market nation.

And the 3rd element that I think is unique is the world leveraging billions
of dollars of technology that has been brewed for the B to B and the B
to C market places. So the B to C market place is the normal porthole
with technologies that have been developed over the past 7 years and
the B to B technologies are relatively new for the market places and
exchanges. We are essentially leveraging both of the best of those
technologies and underlying solutions to develop applications for LSPs
to deliver over the internet very rich and compelling location based
services. So we think the combination of these 3 elements gives us a
      unique position in the marketplace.

Thanks James. Here is another popular question, how does technology
      work in its practical applications?

Well we are utilizing more applications than GPS, which is a number of
satellites which own the space in our systems. Multiple satellites record
information by ways of triangulation and use this to determine the exact
location. The other component technology is the use of such
information along with other information in process in a smart device
that can determine whether to send information to a base station or not.
We are creating what we call geofencing which are multiple space in
which we create an imaginary line and measure the speed. If the unit is
outside its boundaries then we send information. So we are actually
creating technology by making devices efficient by deciding when and if
to send information to a base station which can control up to a millions
of this small devices. We are providing a solution to carriers that is not
creating a much larger load in their respective levels. These devices
are not transmitting all the time but, only when the information is
needed. So basically the technology in a nutshell is one reception by
way of sensitive receiver, two processing of the location by way of
transportation, three processing by way of filtering and last but not least
transmission of the information to a base station. This base station can
cope with multiple protocols and multiple networks. In this process
called the tracker multiple clients through the Internet can log in and get
in maps the exact location of the device. One of the things I would like
to describe is what we are doing and what other people are doing. The
solution. We have created a technology called L-Biz as well as quality
of services. This way we are adding a layer of protocols to the Y list
that are required. So we cannot only get the information where the
devices are, but can broadcast through the devices how often to send
in the information or what model they should be. In addition to all that
processing, our engines are constantly getting the information and
displaying them and we are using an architecture reliant by way of
secure communication. Which are also adding encryption of encoding
so misuse of the information is avoided. Now the difference between
our technology and technology used by other companies is also by the
fact that the user has the ability to turn off the location technology.
Which as you know is key privacy issue. In the United States there is
already a regulation whereby no carrier can provide the 3rd parties
location unless the individual positively approves that. Our technology
has built in functions that the user can engage to prevent the
information to be processed. Therefore we can use the information
openly and we are the only technology ready to market that can provide
seamless location of devices and I mean millions of devices
      simultaneously.

Thank you. Now a question from Durango again, this one for Malcolm
Robbins. How does PRAV plan to market its technology and license its
      products?

The license component requires a separate team which we now
obviously use in conjunction with our new attorney. So we try to divorce
the licensing which is working really with other industry players in the
GPS and wireless space from being in the product solution business.
The PowerLOC division is providing the solution that was described by
Mr. Guendelman and I think what I would like to explain is that we have
developed a very interesting strategy which depends upon a LSP who
owns a given market so we are going to organizations that perhaps
previously were not in this business before. They have a channel or
have a customer base or market they own either geographically or
vertically. And what they require is the technology and the devices in
order to deliver the location based solution to their particular market.
They have the financial strength and we are basically enabling them to
do that. We have a sales team that we are building on. These people
have technical expertise and business and marketing expertise. We are
signing agreements with those we have already announced and others
that are pending currently and many more prospects. In fact we have a
strategy to move from vertical and limited markets even though they
might be high volume to more horizontal and mass markets during the
course of 2001 as we deploy our phase 2. We expect to have a
significant LSPs who themselves may just be providing service for retail
based clients. So you may see our product on shelves in various retail
environments and people will be able to buy the product and take it
home and have a little card that will list different web sites. And the
intent will be that you will be able to choose which service plan you
want as well as which service or ASP host. So resellers and the
dealers will be able to sell these devices that will be purchased directly
through our LSP or in some cases privately and sold through us. We
also have relationships and we intend to produce products that are
customized and branded or even built in solutions as part of another
company’s complete product. So yes to all, in other words to all these
major markets the key though is that we ourselves are not going to build
an organization at this time geared to selling to the end user. We leave
      our partners to do that.

Thank you Malcolm. Question from Bifa, Could you comment on the
National Research Council Grant? That is the Government of Canada.

Yes, in the press release of the National Research Council, we
announced we were awarded the grant for the development of
appliances and that we have been selected among a number of
companies for government support. I would like to give a little bit of
explanation -- our company has submitted a proposal to the NRC. We
have received so far three grants and the last one is about five hundred
thousand dollar. In those there are only ten grants granted in the last
three years in Canada and we are one of them. We were selected
because of the proper backing, we showed them the business concept
and we showed that we have a concept, which is about the technical
concept the business concept which is unique. This will bring jobs to
Canada and so forth. The appliances we are building with the National
Research Council are now at the pre- production stage, actually now
we are going to be shipping before year-end, between now and year
end a thousand units, several thousand units. We are expecting to start
mass production the beginning of next year, and mass production
means the ability to produce ten thousand units or more per month. We
expect to reach volumes of up to hundred thousand units per month
some time in the next year.

Thank you, we have two more questions. This one for Selwyn Wener.
Can you explain the heavy insider trading.

Yes, I actually would like to explain that several people who have
restricted shares for over two years have applied to have their
restrictions removed on their shares. And accordingly they have filed
rule 144 exception forms. These people are not current employees,
directors or executives of Paradigm. In addition to this I would also like
to confirm that none of our executives have applied to have their
shares included for resale in the SB2 registration statement that we
      filed last week. Thank you.

      Thank you Selwyn

And finally Paradigm appears to be in a high growth mode, do you have
sufficient facilities to accommodate the additional people that you are
      hiring? Eduardo.

As of right now we are working 2 shifts because we are short on space
But lets put this in prospective, four months ago we where 3 people, we
are now 35. Two months ago we didn’t have any sales, we potentially
have 600 million in sales. We are now shipping product in pre-
production samples of the product. All that has been achieved in a very,
very short period of time, because of the quality of the people and the
team that we have. I must admit I have never been involved with such
quality anywhere in my career. As for the growth mode because of this
tremendous fast paced industry our specific goals in both quantity of
people, project issues we are addressing. We have decided to move to
new facilities, we expect to close a leasing agreement with the new
location in the next few days. The new location is close to where we
are now. This is going to allow us to grow to at least hundred and fifty
people which I believe is the maximum we will ever reach in the current
      corporation.

      Thank you Eduardo.

He he!

@ schneemannmachinegun (wo hast du denn deeeeeen her ?) und alle

LOL

      viel spaß beim lesen
      ciao waitangi
