was ist passiert???????
ich habe alle boards durchkaemmt,konnte aber nirgendwo eine
info erhalten.
insiderwissen???? oder hat jemand einen falschen knopf ge-
drueckt????
letztendlich konnte sich ctic auf 39 1/4$ erholen.

der verkaeufer hat mitbekommen das am naechsten tag eine groessere
anzahl von aktien auf den markt verkauft werden sollen,hatte dazu
keine hintergrundinformation,bezog den verkauf auf eine negative
fda-meldung(keine zulassung fuer arsenic trioxid),und verkaufte.
ctic ist volatil wie alle biotechs,aber keine abfahrt von 15% in
einigen minuten.
und die +12% von gestern sind auch schon im ar...

ueber 13% im plus am tagesende bei ueber 1,3 mill gehandelten
aktien.dies deutet das enorme interesse an ctic an.der tagesdurch-
schnitt der normalen tage lag bei ca.300 tsd st.
der countdown laeuft.noch 5 tage bis zum entscheid.sollte der positiv
ausfallen,wird ctic zu den grossen krebsfirmen von morgen gehoeren,
da die pipeline auch noch gut gefuellt ist.

SEATTLE, Sep 26, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (cti)
(Nasdaq: CTIC) announced TRISENOX (arsenic trioxide) injection was approved
today by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat patients with a severe
form of leukemia whose disease has recurred or who have failed to respond to
standard therapy.

Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is a malignant disorder of the white blood
cells which can affect patients of any age. In the United States, APL represents
10-15% of the more than 10,000 patients who are diagnosed with acute myeloid
leukemia each year.

"For patients with APL whose disease has recurred following initial treatment,
the use of salvage therapy is highly toxic and rarely curative," said Carolyn
Paradise, M.D., Vice President of Clinical Development at cti. "Results of the
clinical trials using TRISENOX demonstrated that a significant number of those
patients who suffered multiple relapses were able to achieve a complete
remission, or a disappearance of all visible leukemia cells. The majority of
patients who achieved complete remission were still alive and disease-free with
a median follow-up time of 16 months. This new treatment represents a
significant advance for patients with this disease."

A pivotal trial involving 40 patients with relapsed/refractory APL unresponsive
to standard therapies was conducted at nine institutions, including Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and other leading cancer centers
across the United States. Seventy percent of these patients achieved a complete
remission, with the majority achieving molecular eradication of the genetic
abnormality associated with APL. Complete remission was achieved on average
within two months after initiation of TRISENOX.

"We are impressed at both the high rate of complete remission and the
relapse-free survival in this high risk population of APL patients whose
previous treatment failed to eradicate their disease," said Steven Soignet,
M.D., investigator of Developmental Chemotherapy Service at Memorial Sloan-
Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Most patients experienced some drug-related toxicity. Acute toxicities
associated with arsenic trioxide therapy are well defined and when monitored and
treated appropriately are manageable. Serious adverse events (SAEs) reported
include APL-differentiation syndrome symptoms (fever, weight gain, shortness of
breath, and musculoskeletal pain) in 23% of the patients, and hyperleukocytosis
(increased levels of white blood cells) in 50% of the patients. Common
toxicities include gastrointestinal (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal
pain), fatigue, edema, hyperglycemia, dyspnea, cough, rash or itching,
headaches, and dizziness. These adverse effects have not been observed to be
permanent or irreversible nor do they usually require interruption of therapy.
Another important adverse event was QT prolongation - a change in the time it
takes for the heart to relax after each beat. One serious case of QT
prolongation evolved into an abnormally rapid heartbeat. This episode resolved
spontaneously, and the patient was retreated with TRISENOX without recurrence of
the event.

In contrast to the side effects prevalent with use of standard chemotherapy,
hair loss, mucositis (mouth sores and ulcers) were uncommon.

TRISENOX is administered intravenously in two phases: induction therapy
consisting of daily injections of 0.15 mg/kg until the bone marrow is cleared of
leukemic cells, for up to a maximum of 60 days, and consolidation therapy using
the same dose for 25 days beginning three weeks after bone marrow remission is
evident.

Hab sie an einem verpissten Donnerstag Intraday bei 50!!!!!!!! Eu gekauft. Dann kam Billy Boy und die Bio`s kackten voll ab. ctic stuerzte auf ca.-9% ab,konnte sich gegen tagesende auf ca-4%
erholen.umsatz ca.1,6 mio shares.kein sell off bei ctic,d.h.gute
akkzeptanz bei den shareholders.ein gutes zeichen.
momentan arbeitet ctic erfolgreich an dem bekannten krebsmittel
taxol.die neue version wird nur von krebszellen angezogen,die gesun-
den zellen werden nicht angegriffen.d.h.die wirkung von taxol steigt
enorm und die nebenwirkungen sinken dramatisch.

Bin auch noch drin, aber der Chart macht mir langsam Bedenken. Er bildet langsam aber sich ne Fahnenstange aus. Wie ist Eure Meinung, wie es weiter geht? Denke wenn C1 und Ariba gute Zahlen melden, wovon ich ausgehe, könnte viel Kohle aus den Bios rausgezogen werden und in B2B`s umgeschichtet werden. Insbesondere bei solchen Bios die schon gut gelaufen sind, was ja bei Cell der Fall ist!

ich war auch vor monaten am ueberlegen ob ich in ctic reingehen soll,
weil ctic damals schon eine performance von ueber 1000% hingelegt
hatte.nach dem check aller daten bin ich dann doch rein.hat sich bis
jetzt gelohnt.
spielen wir doch mal die uebernahmekarte.
ctic wurde in den letzten 14 tagen bei uebernahmekandidaten im bio
bereich als top pick rausgestellt.warum?ctic opperiert alleine im
mlliardenmarkt krebs.keine (milestone)vertraege mit grossen pharmas,
nur zusammenarbeit mit diversen unis,laboren.
cell-produkte werden im eigenbetrieb auf den markt gebracht.mit den
momentanen produkten sehe ich cell als nischenplayer,der,so denke ich,
sich mit finanzieller unabhaengikeit enorm weiterentwickeln koennte.
ah,was mir noch einfaellt.ueber die haelfte alle chemotherapien werden

cell beendete die woche mit 60 7/8$(anfang bei 71$). ctic testete am
donnerstag 2 mal die 60$ und brach 2 mal nach oben aus.
60$ scheint sich gut als stop zu eignen,aber werden die 60$ in den
kommenden tagen unterschritten wirds eng.
auch ich bin anfang letzter woche ausgestoppt worden(enger sl),werde
die kommenden tage abwarten(ich denke an kurzfristige umschichtungen
zugunsten der fiberoptics etc.),werde aber weiterhin ctic begleiten
und wieder neueinsteigen.denn,das umfeld ist sehr positiv fuer ctic.

Wie seht ihr die Chancen für Cell Therapeutics in den näcsten 6 - 12 Monaten (was mich verblüfft, dass Cell Thera. tatsächlich schon ein Medikament gegen Leukämie auf den Markt gebracht hat..!!)???

PS:ich denke schon, dass wir Anfang nächsten Jahres die 100er Marke ansteuern werden...!?!

in letzter zeit nur positive news von ctic.diese sind vom markt aber
nicht verarbeited worden.im gegenteil.von 74$ ath auf ca.49$.
bin vor 3 wochen raus,habe beobachtet das sich ctic bei 50$ stabili-
siert hat,und gestern wieder rein.haben sich bei dem sell-off gestern
abend gut gehalten,ca-1,5%.ich denke ab montag sollte der weg wieder
offen sein.

Das amerikanische Biotechunternehmen Cell Therapeutics meldete heute einen größer als erwarteten Verlust für das vierte Quartal.

Der Verlust lag demnach bei 15,2 Millionen Dollar oder 47 Cents je Aktie verglichen mit einem Verlust von 13,5 Millionen Dollar oder 87 Cents je Aktie.

Analysten erwarteten laut First Call/Thomson Financial einen Verlust von 35 Cents je Aktie.

Das Leukämie Medikament Trisenox hat die Zulassung der Gesundheitsbehörde erhalten und erzielte einen Umsatz von 502.000 Dollar.

die marke von 33$ hatte längere zeit gehalten.nach veröffentlichung der Q`s abfahrt..auf ca.28$.
die übliche überreaktion in diesen zeiten.
jetzt wird CTIC wieder interessant.interessierte sollten
CTIC täglich beobachten und bei guter marktlage zugreifen.
wenn ausbruch kommt,dann ziemlich heftig.
