Jo, das würde mich auch mal interessieren. Vor einiger Zeit gabs hier ne Menge Leute, die die Zukunft von mp3 nur von diesem Gerichtsurteil abhängig machten. Da war hier mächtig Rummel um die Aktie. Jetzt, wo es soweit ist, gibts keine Stimmen. Waren wohl doch alles nur Pusher!
Der Prozess fängt wohl heute an, im beigefügten Artikel wird vermutet, dass man sich evtl doch aussergerichtlich einigen könnte.

NEW YORK -- MP3.com Inc.`s copyright trial, scheduled to begin Monday, has been adjourned for one day following a request by Universal Music Group for a postponement.
The move raises the possibility that MP3.com and Universal, a unit of Seagram Co., could be in settlement talks, although neither side would comment. Previous negotiations stalled when the companies couldn`t agree on terms.
The trial is to determine how many recordings MP3.com illegally copied for its My.MP3.com service. The first phase ended in September when U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff ordered MP3.com to pay $25,000 for each CD included in the service.
Universal claims as many as 10,000 recordings are at issue. MP3.com, San Diego, says the number is far fewer, largely because most of the Universal recordings were registered as "works for hire," a designation that has long been a point of contention between recording artists and the industry.
Under the works-for-hire designation, recording artists are never able to reclaim their copyrights. MP3.com says the term has no legal basis and, therefore, that any copyright designated as such would be invalid.
Universal and four other major record labels sued MP3.com in January, shortly after MP3.com launched its My.MP3.com service. In late April, Judge Rakoff found MP3.com guilty of copyright infringement. My.MP3.com is a virtual storage locker, enabling users to access stored music over the Internet.
The copyright suit against MP3.com was originally filed by all five major recording companies, which said that MP3.com digitally copied their CDs without permission. MP3.com has reached settlement and licensing deals with four of the five companies at an estimated cost of about $20 million each.
