      Die Aufnahme in den S&P 600 wird erst ab Freitag relevant


      Standard & Poor`s Announces Changes in S&P Indices

      NEW YORK, Nov 27, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Standard & Poor`s will make the
      following changes in the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 Indices:


      -- S&P MidCap 400 component Calpine Corp. (NYSE:CPN) will replace
      Florida Progress (NYSE:FPC) in the S&P 500 Index after the
      close of trading on Thursday, November 30, 2000. S&P 500
      component CP&L Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CPL) is acquiring Florida
      Progress in a transaction anticipated to close on or about
      that date. The transaction is still subject to regulatory
      approval. S&P SmallCap 600 component KEMET Corp. (NYSE:KEM)
      will replace Calpine Corp. in the S&P MidCap 400 Index. SCM
      Microsystems (NASDAQ: SCMM) will replace KEMET Corp. in the S&P
      SmallCap 600 Index.

      -- International Fibercom (NASDAQ: IFCI) will replace Telxon Corp.
      (NASDAQ: TLXN) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of
      trading on Thursday, November 30, 2000. S&P MidCap 400
      component Symbol Technologies (NYSE:SBL) is acquiring Telxon
      Corp. in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that
      date. The transaction is still subject to shareholder
      approval.

      -- M&T Bank (NYSE:MTB) will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 Index
      after the close of trading on Tuesday, November 28, 2000. MTB
      will replace HSB Group Inc. (NYSE:HSB) which was removed from
      the S&P MidCap 400 Index on Friday, November 24, 2000.

      -- Emmis Communications (NASDAQ: EMMS) and Advanced Fibre
      Communications (NASDAQ: AFCI) will replace Federal-Mogul
      (NYSE:FMO) and MarchFirst Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCH) after the close
      of trading on Tuesday, November 28, 2000. Both companies are
      being removed for lack of representation.

      -- Tom Brown (NASDAQ: TMBR) will replace Sunrise Medical
      (NYSE:SMD) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of
      trading on Tuesday, November 28, 2000. Vestar Capital Partners
      (an investment group) is acquiring Sunrise Medical via a
      tender offer that is anticipated to expire on that date,
      unless extended.

      -- Radiant Systems (NASDAQ: RADS) will replace Masco Tech, Inc.
      (NYSE:MSX) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of
      trading on Tuesday, November 28, 2000. Heartland Industrial
      Partners (a private firm) is acquiring Radiant Systems in a
      transaction anticipated to close on or about that date. The
      transaction is still subject to shareholder approval.

      -- Bell Microproducts (NASDAQ: BELM) will replace TALK.Com, Inc.
      (NASDAQ: TALK) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of
      trading on Tuesday, November 28, 2000. TALK.Com is being
      removed for lack of representation.

      Calpine Corp. is an independent power company that is engaged in the
      development, acquisition, ownership and operation of power generation facilities
      and the sale of electricity predominantly in the United States. The company,
      headquartered in San Jose, California, will be added to the S&P 500 Power
      Producers (Independent).

      KEMET Corp. is a manufacturer of solid tantalum capacitors and a manufacturer of
      multilayer ceramic capacitors. The company, headquartered in Simpsonville, South
      Carolina, will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 Electrical Equipment industry
      group.

      SCM Microsystems designs, develops and sells hardware, software and silicon that
      enables secure access of digital content and services. The company,
      headquartered in Los Gatos, California, will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600
      Computers (Software & Services) industry group.

      International Fibercom is an end-to-end solutions provider serving the
      telecommunications industry. The company, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona,
      will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Communications Equipment industry group.

      M&T Bank is a bank holding company with two wholly owned bank subsidiaries,
      Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company and M&T Bank, National Association. The
      company, headquartered in Buffalo, New York, will be added to the S&P MidCap 400
      Banks (Regional) industry group.

      Emmis Communications is a diversified media company with radio broadcasting,
      television broadcasting and magazine publishing operations. The company,
      headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, will be added to the S&P MidCap 400
      Broadcasting (Television, Radio & Cable) industry group.

      Advanced Fibre Communications designs and manufactures end-to-end distributed
      multi-service access solutions for the portion of the telecommunications network
      between the carrier`s central office and its subscribers. The company,
      headquartered in Petaluma, California, will be added to the S&P MidCap 400
      Communications Equipment industry group.

      Tom Brown is an independent energy company engaged in the domestic exploration
      for, and the acquisition, development, marketing, production and sale of,
      natural gas and crude oil. The company, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, will
      be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Oil & Gas (Exploration & Production) industry
      group.

      Radiant Systems offers fully integrated retail automation solutions including
      point of sale systems, consumer-activated ordering systems, back office
      management systems and headquarters-based management systems to the retail
      industry. The company, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, will be added to
      the S&P SmallCap 600 Computers (Software & Services) industry group.

      Bell Microproducts is a value-added provider of a wide range of high technology
      products, solutions, and services to the industrial and commercial marketplace.
      The company, headquartered in San Jose, California, will be added to the S&P
      SmallCap 600 Services (Computer Systems) industry group.
