Infospace steigt nicht , underperformt sogar stark...Grund?-nein, gibt es bis jetzt noch nicht-dann sucht man einfach gründe , die völlig irrational sind , z.B. Yahoo fällt , weil die werbeeinnhamen sinken, völliger schwachsinn wie ich finde , aber so wird wahrscheinlich argumentiert-wireless zweifel kommen auf und und...wer dran glaubt , der kauft zu jedem kurs, nur leider glaubt keiner dran , oder können sich zich verkaufsorders irren "25000 Stück und und ...)..aber bei 125 war sie ein strong buy mir kursziel 240...
ich verstehe es nicht..ich warte immer noch auf den starken partner aus europa, wenn Infospace nicht langsam nach europa oder australien , oder richtung taschkdschikistan *g* expandiert , dann wird das nichts , denn an "wireless" in den staaten glaubt nämlich kaum einer, außer jain, aber der glaubt wohl auch noch an den nikolaus..ach so , meine wenigkeit glaubt auch draN ; UND ICH WERDE WIE EIN Lemmige in das verderben laufen , das weiß ich jetzt schon , aber was solls

Das betrifft aber nicht nur Infospace,
sondern auch andere (z.B. Openwave) Aktien,

Denke Infospace muß jetzt mal was an Good News bringen,
so kann es nicht weitergehen.

INSP off 16% after downgrade

InfoSpace (INSP: news, msgs) is getting sent $2.25, or 16 percent lower, to $11.44. Analyst Virginia Genereux at Merrill Lynch lowered her intermediate-term rating on the stock to "accumulate" from a "buy," as there doesn`t appear to be the "upside potential" that some investors are expecting. She expects the company to hit her fourth-quarter earnings target, but she cut her 2001 EPS estimate to 14 cents from 16 cents. Genereux added that two major overhangs relating to wireless holding back the stock are the lack of a large deal with an international carrier and visibility about usage levels of InfoSpace services.

Ich glaube auch das sich jetzt einige eindecken werden. Mal schaun bei welchem Kurs ich einsteigen werde.
Ich dachte bei 20Euro waren das schon Geschenke aber wenn die unter 10 fallen ist auch gut.
Tja die Analysten haben mich in letzter Zeit 50% meines Geldes gekostet zum Glück war ich diesmal nicht dabei das hätte mir wohl den Todesstoß gegeben !

ich glaub bei 10,75$ ist heute der boden!was morgen los sein wird weiss keiner, aber ich hoffe auf steigende kurse! bei 10,75$ gibts einige käufer und bei 10,81$ auch grössere orders! die verkäufer verziehen sich auch - bei diesen kursen wird jetzt keiner verkaufen, außer es kommt noch eine herabstufung!

Leider ist es mir inzwischen ziemlich egal was Infospace macht, da main Depotanteil von ursprünglich über 50% auf 5% aufgrund des fallenden Kurses gesunken ist. Ich denke wir sehen heute noch 30% Minus. Und ich werde auch nicht mehr nachkaufen da das Vertrauen in den Kurs/Verlauf völlig am Boden ist (sieht man ja heute)

Hallo Ihr Mitleidenden, wie kann es passieren, daß ein Kurs von $ 120,-- so abbröselt, bzw. wie konnt der Kurs so weit laufen?
und wurde dan noch auf kaufen gesetzt. Analysten sind billig. Aktien laufen, schreien Sie accumulate, buy, strong buy, etc. Bröseln die Kurse schreien Sie hold, sell, strong sell, etc.
Glaubt Ihr es besteht zB die Möglichkeit, Infospace steht mal wieder über $10,--, oder sind unsere Träume zerplatzt und wir werden Infospace nie mehr 3-stellig sehen?!?!?!?!

Lt. Analystenaussage scheint in der Aktie nicht das Aufwärtspotential zu stecken, das viele Investoren vermuten. Die Erwartungen des vierten Quartals sollen zwar erfüllt werden, die Gewinnschätzung für 2001 wird jedoch von $0,16 pro Aktie auf $0,14 pro Aktie reduziert. Kritikpunkte seien das Fehlen eines großen Deals mit einem internationalen Carrier im Mobilfunkbereich und die fehlende Aussagekraft über den Nutzengrad von Infospace`s Services.

Ok, dass mit den 5 % ist vielleich übertrieben, aber sinngemäß kommt es der sache schon sehr nahe.
Wenn die Kaufempfehlungen nichts bewirkt haben und alles antizyklisch und entgegengesetzt lief (was öfters passiert als man denkt),
dann haben wir genau heute die historischen Tiefstkurse gesehen und mit Beginn der Verkaufsempfehlungen den Aufwärtstrend eingeleitet.
Und wenn der Kurs nach den Zahlen sich mal eben fünftelt, dann kann er sich bei einer Rallye genauso wieder verfünffachen. Bei Infospace ist das möglich. Es sei denn die haben wirklich Probleme und dementieren auch nix (und danach siehts ja aus), dann reiht sich Infospace in die Riege der niemals wieder positiv laufenden Aktien ein.
Wie CMGI, Amazon, Int.Cap.Group, Broadvision, Doubleclick etc.
Vielleicht läuft Red Hat in Zukunft ganz gut...

Tja, was soll ich davon halten, ich weiss nicht, welche Motive dahinter stecken (das ganze Jahr auf Kauf), jetzt nach 90% Kursverlust Abstufung (Quartalszahlen waren immer OK, sogar immer klar besser als erwartet), die deals mit den Mobilfunkfirmen sehen auch in Ordnung aus (was erwarten die eigentlich von Merrill Lynch?), ich bin seit november 99 investiert und habe in der letzten Zeit einige Male nachgekauft, habe aber zum Glück auch noch andere Aktien im Depot, ich bleibe long(d.h. 3-5 Jahre) und werde nicht eher verkaufen bis mir jemand glaubhaft erläutern kann, das INSP für die Zukunft nichts mehr taugt.

Ich bin auch ein Analyst und kann euch sagen, wie die Aktie verlaufen wird:

Wenn Infospace morgen 20% im Plus eröffnet, dann wird´s kräftig nach oben gehen, zumindest Potenzial nach oben.
Sollte sie allerdings nicht steigen, dann wird es wohl eher nach unten gehen.

Kursziele sind 20€ bei kräftiger Erholung und 6€ wenn es weiter nach unten gehen sollte.

Wireless besteht eine große Zukunft bevor, man sollte aber nicht zuviel erwarten...

Was die Aktie braucht sind kräftige Investitionen außerhalb Amerikas, was ihr allerdings schadet sind Gewinneinbußen infolge von Übernahmen und Investitionen.

Für mich ist die Zukunft im wireless -sektor außerhalb amerikas aufgrund natureller voraussetzungen interessanter...

Habe heute einen von meinen Börsenbriefen bekommen,

da sind sie auch als Kaufempfehlung (Bear Stearns)

gepriesen.Ob Alfred Maydorn oder selbst Frick

hat sie mit Riesenpotential emfohlen.

Ich glaube Jain und Konsorten müssen jetzt in

Another dark day for Sun Micro
Plus: Merrill has little room for InfoSpace

4:38 PM ET Dec 11, 2000 NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -Sun Microsystems was the most-heavily traded Nasdaq stock for a second trading day Monday, once again losing ground on negative analyst comments about the company`s prospects.
Sun dropped $4.94 a share, or 13 percent, to $34 Monday, adding to a loss of 9.1 percent on Friday after Goldman Sachs said it sees limited short-term upside for the tech bellwether (SUNW: news, msgs) . In earlier trading, Sun shares had hit a new low of $32.63.
"We expect Sun shares to remain under some near-term pressure, suggesting that investors with a short time frame or fresh money would probably be better advised to be looking elsewhere with our current focus principally on storage names such as Brocade (BRCD: news, msgs) and EMC (EMC: news, msgs) ," analyst Laura Conigliaro told clients. "For Sun, the near-term issue centers around the growing number of uncertainties in the macro environment and how they will affect Sun`s ability to exceed estimates."
Although Conigliaro expects Sun to achieve Street estimates she thinks the company is now less likely to beat those numbers, at least through the March quarter, disappointing investors accustomed to outperformance by Sun.
Conigliaro is estimating 35 percent growth for Sun`s March quarter against the year-ago period, when growth also moved up to 35 percent, making for a tough comparison, she said.
"We believe that Sun`s U.S. business, while strong, is showing some signs of slowing and this, coupled with a seasonally difficult quarter in which Sun will probably be hamstrung by not having as optimal a product line as it will beginning in the June timeframe could make for a tougher quarter," Conigliaro said.
Still Conigliaro views the company as offering a favorable risk-reward over an intermediate time period so she left her "recommended list" rating on the stock unchanged, noting that at current levels the stock could be discounting concerns about slowing growth.
"The combination of a new product cycle, Sun`s ongoing pivotal role in the Internet infrastructure buildout, and improving IT (Information Technology) budgets which, by the June quarter should look a lot better than in the March quarter, should result in the beginning of multiple expansion as early as in the June quarter," she said.
Despite the positive outlook longer-term, Sun shares took a hit Monday because Conigliaro`s negative words came on the heels of negative comments from both Merrill Lynch and Sanford Bernstein on Friday. See full story.
Adding fuel
Banc of America added fuel to the fire surrounding Sun with an intra-day comment on the shares late Monday.
Analyst Kurtis King told clients that his channel checks indicate that demand for Sun products has slowed since the close of last quarter, most noticeably in the last three or four weeks.
At this point King said he still expects Sun to at least meet its revenue target for the second quarter but says this won`t be enough.
"Our view is that Sun needs to report significant upside for the December quarter and guide numbers up for later periods for the story to remain intact," King concluded. "Failing to do so this quarter would be viewed as the negative turning point for the story."
Spaced out
Shares of InfoSpace also plunged Monday after Merrill Lynch analyst Virginia Genereux cut her near-term recommendation on the infrastructure services company (INSP: news, msgs) to "accumulate" from "buy."
"InfoSpace has already corrected strongly, and while we do not see significantly more downside...we do not see the kind of upside potential we think some investors are expecting," Genereux wrote in a research note.
But Genereux was wrong as news of the downgrade sent InfoSpace shares into a tailspin, falling $2.50, or 18 percent, to $11.18 -- probably because she had little positive to say about the company.
"The stock has two key overhangs relating to wireless: a lack of deals with the large international carriers and a lack of information about usage levels of the InfoSpace services," Genereux wrote. And the stock`s already strong correction could have other negative repercussions, Genereux noted, such as more option dilution and employee retention.
As for earnings, Genereux expects the company to hit her estimates of 2 cents earnings per share and revenues of $67 million, but she does not see upside. For 2001, however, Genereux lowered here earnings estimate to 14 cents a share from 16 cents due to the company`s Locus Dialogue acquisition.
Genereux`s forecasts are in line with the consensus estimate compiled by MultexNet, which calls for InfoSpace to post earnings of 2 cents per on revenues of $66.25 million for the fourth quarter and earnings of 14 cents per share for 2001.

Welches Unternehmen kann man als größten Konkurrenten zu Infospace nennen? Gibt es Alternativen aus dem Content-Wireless-Bereich? Gehört ne AOL oder ne Phone.com dazu? Oder ist Infospace wirklich die absolute Nr. 1 in ihrem Bereich und hat keine Konkurrenz zu fürchten?

Ähmmmm...was mich etwas verwundert ist, das es vor dieser Abstufung,ich glaube es waren so um die zehn aufstufungen gab! Allerdings hat sich nichts nach oben bewegt! Und jetzt kommt eine(!!) Abstufung und der Kurs geht den Bach runter???? Seltsam!!

USA: Versteigerung der Mobilfunklizenzen beginnt morgen

Am morgigen Dienstag beginnt die FUS- Handelsbehörde für Telekommunikation (FCC)Verizon Wireless oder AT&T Wireless, bieten für 422 Lizenzen. Analysten erwarten Einnahmen in Höhe von 16 bis 25 Milliarden Dollar, das würde die Ergebnisse aller bisherigen Versteigerungen in den Schatten stellen. Firmen, die Lizenzen ersteigern, wären in der Lage, die üblichen Mobilfunkservices anzubieten, sowie fortgeschrittenere Zweiwege-Übertragung von Daten via Handy.

Die FCC hofft mit der Auktion die Unternehmen zu ermutigen, die Entwicklung in der mobilen Kommunikation zu beschleunigen. Es solle in Richtung UMTS einiges unternommen werden, um auch in den USA Services wie mobilen Internetzugang oder Video-Streaming auf mobilen Geräten zu ermöglichen. "Die Öffentlichkeit hat sich an das mobile Telefonieren gewöhnt. Wenn man sich auf der Welt umschaut, haben sich im Bereich mobiler Datennutzung in Japan, Skandinavien und anderen Teilen Europas bereits vielfältige Möglichkeiten eröffnet", sagte FCC Chairman William.

Um auch kleineren Unternehmen die Möglichkeit zu bieten, sich an der Auktion beteiligen zu können, werden 170 der 422 Lizenzen ausschließlich 65 jüngeren Companies angeboten. Diese mussten nachweisen, dass ihre Gesamteinnahmen in den letzten beiden Jahren unter 125 Millionen Dollar lagen und ihr Vermögen weniger als 500 Millionen Dollar beträgt. Für die restlichen 252 Frequenzen treten alle 87 Firmen an.

Die Abgabe der Gebote beginnt morgen und wird an jedem Werktag fortgesetzt, bis keine Gebote mehr vorliegen, die Auktion könnte sich also für einige Wochen oder sogar Monate hinziehen.

Kennt jemand schon den vorbörslichen Kurs aus den USA oder gibt es sonst was neues ? Laut den Kursen hier von knapp 16 Euro müßte ja Infospace heute fast auf 14$ öffnen.

Comdirect hat da ein technisches Problem,

ich dachte auch erst,haben die jetzt über

Nacht eine gute meldung noch rausgebracht,

bislang leider nicht.

Wäre aber wünschenswert um den Downpusher

von Merill Lynsch lächerlich zu machen.

Aber diese Spiele kenne ich langsam,

siehe Commerce one ,

Leider,

sind in Frankfurt bei ca. 12,90 Euro + 0.73 %

ML hat uns gestern ca. 40 % in Amerika gekostet, wären
gestern ohne ML bestimmt über 15 Dollar, aber wären hätten
usw.

Verstehe diese Einstufung wirklich nicht. Bei 120 Dollar
war Infospace ein klarer Kauf nun bei ca. 12 - 15 Dollar
nur Accum... ( wie es auch immer heißt ) und das obwohl die
Quartalszahlen immer gestimmt haben.

Absoluter Schwachsinn, verstehe ich nicht bin ratlos usw.

Hoffe, dass die INSP wirklich bald kommt! am besten heute, sonst sieht der chart ganz schlecht aus und viele schauen drauf!! Die Zahlen waren bis jetzt bei INSP wirklich immer gut, aber der Kurs lief immer gegen den Trend!

Derzeit steht der kurs bei 12,7€ (berlin)! man wartet ab und ist nicht mehr so voreilig wie viele tage zuvor! finde ist ein gutes zeichen!

S&P Future auch gerade über die 1400 Marke !!

Mit Lucent haben Infospace nun einen Vertriebspartner, dem entsprechend verringern sich aber auch die Erträge.
Außerdem weiß ich nicht, was es bedeuten soll, wenn Lucent teilweise Infospace-"Produkte" unter anderem Namen vertreibt ?!
