Razorfish Teams with Coca-Cola to Develop a Marketing Presence Online in the Nordic Countries


NEW YORK, Dec 19, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Razorfish, Inc. (Nasdaq: RAZF), the
global digital solutions provider, today announced it has been selected to
collaborate with the Coca-Cola Company, the leading soft drink company in the
world, to develop the company`s marketing website in the Nordic region.

Razorfish will team with Coca-Cola to implement a fresh site that speaks to the
teenage demographic in these Nordic countries.

"We chose to collaborate with Razorfish because of their creative vision and
expertise in the area of strategy and technology," said Catharina Stackelberg,

Razorfish will provide Coca-Cola with a fresh online presence that underscores

services will be launched in the beginning of 2001.

"Yesterday, Razorfish announced a series of cost-saving initiatives geared
towards right-sizing the business with the current demand environment," said
Birer. "All told, the company expects to achieve overall savings of $70 million
in CY01. To cut costs, the company announced the elimination of
approximately 400 jobs worldwide. While the company did not provide
specifics, we believe that cost savings will not all be derived from the
headcount reduction. Assuming an average salary of $75,000 to $100,000,
eliminating 400 jobs will save only $30-40 million. We assume the remainder
of the savings will come from the consolidation of HR functions and tighter
restrictions on expenses, travel, marketing and recruiting. Management plans

Teile der Razorfish-Quartalszahlen schon bekannnt


Eigentlich wird die Internetagentur Razorfish erst heute die Zahlen für das vergangene Quartal melden. Allerdings wurden Teile schon im Vorfeld über ein internes Mailing an die Mitarbeiter bekannt. Demnach habe das Unternehmen 51 Mio. Dollar umgesetzt. Diese Zahl liegt zwar leicht über dem nach der Gewinnwarnung erwarteten Wert von 50 Mio. allerdings auch deutlich unter den 71 Mio. des Vorquartals.

Zwar wurden nichts über den Verlust bekannt, allerdings will das Management noch ca. 40 Mio. Dollar inCash haben und damit ca. 35 Mio. weniger als zum Beginn des Quartals.

Die Aktie schloß gestern bei 1,6 Dollar und ist damit weit von ihrem Jahreshoch bei 56 Dollar entfernt.
