Eurofins: Mehrheitsbet. an Miljo und Analytico

Die am Neuen Markt notierte Eurofins, die durch BSE-Test bekannt wurde, gab heute nach Börsenschluß die Übernahme der Mehrheit an der niederländischen Analytico bekannt. Analytico beschäftigt sich mit dem Testen von Giftstoffen in Wasser und Erde und hat namhafte Kunden aus der Pharmabranche. Aktuell werden 300 Mitarbeiter in ganz Europa beschäftigt. Analytico arbeitet bereits profitabel und erwirtschaftet erhebliche Gewinne. Über finanzielle Einzelheiten der Übernahme wurde nichts bekannt.
Ebenfalls heute Abend wurde die Übernahme von 51% an der dänischen Miljoe bekannt gegeben. Miljoe betreibt 10 Labore in Deutschland und Skandinavien. Die Dänen beschäftigen sich mit ähnlichen Tests wie auch die ebenfalls übernommenen Niederländer. Miljoe beschäftigt 250 Mitarbeiter und macht einen jährlichen Umsatz in Höhe von 15 Mio. Euro.

Eurofins erhofft sich von der Übernahme eine erfolgreiche Expansion in die Skandinavischen Länder.

Eurofins Scientific kauft zu
Nantes (vwd) - Die Eurofins Scientific SA, Nantes, baut ihre Beteiligungen aus. So hat das am Neuen Markt notierte Unternehmen bereits am 29. Dezember eine Vereinbarung unterzeichnet, nach der Eurofins Scientific einen beherrschenden Anteil an der niederländischen Analytico, Breda, übernehmen wird. Einer Ad-hoc-Mitteilung vom Dienstag zufolge soll die Transaktion im ersten Quartal abgeschlossen werden. Analytico sei ein profitables Unternehmen, das jährlich 20 Mio EUR umsetze, hieß es. Weitere Details sollen nach Abschluss der Akquisition bekannt gegeben werden.



Daneben übernimmt Eurofins Scientific einen 51-Prozent-Anteil an der dänischen Miljoe Kemi. 1999/2000 habe der konsolidierte Umsatz dieses Unternehmens bei 15 Mio EUR gelegen, teilte das Biotechnologieunternehmen weiter mit. Mit der Übernahme dehne Eurofins ihr Labor-Netzwerk nun auch nach Skandinavien aus.

Nantes/Nürnberg/Breda: Eurofins Scientific and shareholders
controlling the majority of Analytico signed on Friday 29 December
2000 heads of agreements for Eurofins Scientific to acquire a
controlling interest in Analytico (Breda, NL). These heads of
agreements are subject to due diligence, contract and other typical
conditions for such transactions in the Netherlands.

The Analytico group is profitable and turns over in excess of EUR
20 million per year. It employs approx. 300 persons at two large
laboratories in the Netherlands and at 4 other sites in Europe.
Analytico is one of Europe s most advanced testing groups. Its
largest clients are leading global pharmaceutical companies.
Analytico also enjoys very strong market share in the testing of
toxic contaminants in water and soil in the Benelux and is recognised
by clients in Europe an Japan.

Eurofins Scientific plans to release further details about
Analytico and its impact on the group s overall strategy after
closing of the final contracts planed to take place during Q1, 2001.
