On the 9th January 2001 Magna`s MPHOA options (expiring 30th May
2003) were successfully listed and approved for trading on the
Frankfurter Wertpapierborse - the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The
listing code is 937120.

This will now allow European shareholders to trade MPH`s options
(MPHOA) in parallel with the company`s shares already listed under
code 901889 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The Directors view this
as a positive step and will enable the company to increase its
shareholder base.

Magna`s securities MPH, MPHO, MPHOA, 901889 and 937120 may be viewed
through its website http://www.magnapacific.com.au. This shows
current prices which may be delayed up to 20 minutes on the
Australian and German Stock Exchanges.

The Directors and Management are extremely pleased with the Christmas
trading period for MPH`s subsidiaries. Both VHS and DVD sales
exceeded expectations and the strong sales have continued into the
New Year. As advised at our AGM on the 23rd November 2000, first half
results were expected to show revenue up by $2.1m (57%) to $5.8m with
a corresponding 20% lift in operating profit before abnormals and
outside equity interests to $600,000. Preliminary results to the 31st
December 2000 show total revenue will exceed $6m and operating profit
before abnormals and outside equity interests will exceed $600,000.
