Neuer Thread, neues Glück!?

Hier noch das letzte Posting asu dem letzten Thread,
hier wird noch auf Antworten gewartet:

Hallo zusammen,

Tja wahrscheinlich sagen die meisten, dass letzte Woche nichts
passiert ist, nur das der Kurs gefallen ist. Ich für meinen Teil
bin aber froh, dass wir uns über 2$ gehalten haben und bin
eigentlich positiv gegenüber den nächsten zwei Wochen gestimmt.

Aber nun mal zu was anderem:
Auf www.Nasdaq.com sind ja nun auch die Zahlen für den
Short-Interest vom Januar zu finden:



Januar 2001
Short Interest: 4.688.765
Avg. Daily share Volume: 1.512.361
Days to cover: 3,10
Dezember 2000
Short Interest: 5.111.135
Avg. Daily share Volume: 772.454
Days to cover: 6,62

Also der Short Interest ist um 422.370 Stücke zurückgegangen.
Letztens waren mehrere Postings im RB-Board über den Short-Interest,
hat sich immer so angehört, als ob das sehr wichtig wäre, wie
sich dieser Entwickelt.

Tja nun mal zwei Fragen:

1. Ist es nun gut, dass er zurückgegangen ist (wenn auch nur um
ca. 420.000 Stück)

2. Was passiert denn eigentlich, wenn ADSX sagen wir mal in den
nächsten 2-3 Wochen auf ca. 3,5 $ steigt, da man ja eigentlich
ca. die letzten 3 Monate immer unter diesem Kurs einkaufen konnte,
und diese ganzen "Shorties" sich ja so ca. ab diesem Zeitpunkt mit
dem shorten begonnen haben. (immerhin war der Short-Interest
im Oktober ja noch bei ca. 1.800.000 Shares und ist dann bis zum
Dezember auf ca. 5.100.000 Shares angestiegen)

Gibt es für den "Short-Interest" oder für die "Shorties" eigentlich
so was wie einen "Break-even-poin", damit meine ich einen Kurs, ab oder
bei dem Sie dann sozusagen unbedingt kaufen müssten - und wenn ja
wo ist der denn ungefähr?

Wäre dankbar, wenn mal jemand der sich auskennt, mich ein bisschen
aufklären würde.

Hallo zusammen,

danke Euch für die ausführliche Erklärung, unser ADSX-Board
ist einfach das Beste.

Vielleicht könnt Ihr mir auch noch bei einer anderen Frage
behilflich sein. Das interessiert mich nämlich brennend hab
zwar auch schon bei ADSX diesbezüglich nachgefragt, haben mir
aber darauf keine Antwort gegeben.

Also:
Wenn man mal annimmt, dass ADSX so vor 3 Jahren angefangen hat
mit dem DA "loszulegen", dann hat das doch jedes Jahr Kosten
verursacht:
-Strom
-Mitarbeiter
-Equipment usw....
Also bestimmt mehrere Millionen $ im Jahr.
Das hat doch dann eigentlich auch in den letzten Jahren bestimmt
immer dazu geführt, dass das EBITDA negativ war.
Denn selbst wenn es pro Jahr "nur" 10 Mio $ wären. Hätten wir mit
Zinsen usw. die letzten paar Jahre immer ein positives Ergebnis
gehabt - oder??
Ausserdem könnte man sich eine viel bessere Meinung darüber machen,
wenn dann z.B. bekanntgegeben wird, dass diese Uhren oder Timer
für ...$ verkauft werden, wieviel Stücke man ungefähr verkaufen müsste
und wie realistisch das ist.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Es würde mich einfach nur brennend interessieren,
wieviel Geld pro Jahr sozusagen an dem "Projekt DA verloren geht".

Hallo Brainy,

das DA Patent wurde Ende 1999 erworben, ist also jetzt erst gut ein Jahr in Besitz von ADSX. Zu den bisherigen Investitionen kann ich nichts sagen.
Nach deutschem Bilanzrecht würde man die Aufwendungen aber u.U. aktivieren,d.h., sie würden nicht in der Kostenrechnung sichtbar sein. In den USA dürften sie jedoch wg. der strengeren Bilanzregeln auf der Kosteseite erscheinen.

Chart von ADSX sehen. Wiederstand ist angeblich bei 2,48 $.
Solange wir da nicht durchbrechen, sind wir noch klar im
Abwärtstrend.

@Brainy - ADSX hat sich in den letzten Wochen ziemlich umfeldimmun gezeigt, soll heißen, daß das Börsenumfeld den Kursverlauf nicht beeinflußt o.ä. hat, ADSX ist seinen eigenen Weg gegangen, in der letzten Woche muß ich sagen: LEIDER!
Wenn ich mir Eriks Chart so betrachte, dann kann ich Dir sagen, daß wir den kurz- bis mittelfristigen Abwärtstrend hinter uns gelassen hatten bzw. haben. Die 38-Tage-Linie sowie die 50-Tage-Linie hatten wir zwischenzeitig nach oben durchbrochen, charttechnisch könnte es sein, daß wir noch einmal auf der roten Linie aufsetzen. Allerdings sollten wir nicht tiefer sinken, d.h. wenn es gut geht, dann stellt die rote Linie eine Widerstandslinie nach unten dar.
Positive kursrelevante News sollten den von Dir angedeuteten Widerstand bei 2,48$ mit Leichtigkeit zerbröseln, da habe ich keine Bedenken.
Im Moment betrachte ich das Ganze nur als Luftholen vor dem nächsten Sturmlauf...

Wenn wir heute eine Zinssenkung um 50 Basispunkte sehen, dann dürfte mit adsx nichts negatives passieren. Ich hatte eigentlich damit gerechnet, daß wir bei weiterer nachrichtenloser Lage nach unten durchbrechen würden, aber mein Pessimismus hat sich Gott sei dank nicht bewahrheitet.
Sicherlich hat Kingtom Recht, wenn er sagt, daß adsx gegenüber dem Marktumfeld immun ist, aber ich befürchte, daß wir bei einer Senkung von nur 25 Punkten mit in den Abwärtssog hineingezogen werden könnten.
Von daher sage ich nur:
Alan, mach uns mit 75 Punkten glücklich und Mercedes, schieb Du noch eine News rein !

Und der Kurs hebt auch ab. Bei den Umsätzen,
die bis jetzt gelaufen sind, werden wir heute noch weit
höhere Kurse sehen. Vielleicht mal wieder über 3$?

Ich will mich ja nicht selbst loben, denn wir müssen ja noch auf Alan warten, aber folgendes bleibt hinsichtlich der Informationspolitik von ADSX festzustellen:

1. Seit Ms. Walton am Zug ist, fährt der Zug wieder
2. Sie läßt Nachrichten immer dann kommen, wenn der Kurs sie braucht
3. Und heute könnte sie den Vogel abschießen, denn sollte Alan seine Zinsen um 75 Pünktchen nach unten korrigieren, dann sind heute die 3 $ drin.
4. Alles weitere für die nächsten Wochen hat erik bereits in seinem Posting vorweggenommen.

Na, ich bin sehr skeptisch ob der Tatsache, daß wir die 3% heute sehen, ich erwarte das auch nicht für diese Woche. Die aktuellen 21 - 24% sind mir jedoch sehr angenehm, zumal ich für diesen Monat logischerweise erwartet hatte, daß newsmäßig nichts mehr kommt und erst der Februar Neuigkeiten bringt.
Das Millitär als Zielgruppe für den DA, das stand für uns lange fest und nun wird es Realität, das ist doch schon was!
Die Konditionen würden mich zwar jetzt schon interessieren, hier ist rein gar nichts verlautbart worden, aber immerhin ist eine der möglichen Zielgruppen angesprochen und gewonnen worden, was will man mehr!
@Erik: Kannst Du den letzten Chat mit Jackson hier reinstellen? Jedesmal, wenn ich in irgendeinen der beiden gefundenen Chat-Rooms gehe, finde ich mich alleine dort wieder und eine Aufzeichung der bisher veranstalteten Chats finde ich nicht. Ich bleibe wohl zu blöd für so etwas. Einen schönen Gruß nach F. übrigens...
Sollte Mr. Greenspan heute die Zinsen statt der erwarteten 0,5% um 0,75%-Punkte senken (wie ich aus "vertraulicher Quelle" erfahren habe), dann revidiere ich meine gestrige Meinung und die von eben und halte es nicht für ausgeschlossen, daß die Amis durchdrehen und alles kaufen, was den Kopf rausstreckt, also auch unsere ADSX, auf daß die 3§ doch noch erreicht werden; allerdings besteht in dem geschilderten Fall auch die Gefahr, daß man drüben auf einmal Panik bekommt und alles verkauft, weil das "hard-langing" aufgrund der Äußerungen von dem FED-Chef als sicher gilt.
Wie auch immer - ein schöner, dicker grüner Balken ist eine schöne Abwechlung!

Der Tag gestern war ja sehr gut. Doch wichtig ist nun auch, daß wir uns im Bereich um 2, 5 $ mal längerfristig halten, so daß wir bei einer neuen news die 3 $ angehen können.
Wenn wir allerdings wieder Tag für Tag fallen und wenn auch nur um ein paar Prozentchen, dann sind wir schnell wieder bei 2$.
Übrigens könnte ich mir durchaus vorstellen, daß uns Mercedes heute oder morgen noch eine Top-Nachricht bringt. Warum ich das glaube ?

Sie hat alle bisherigen Nachrichten absolut professionell und strategisch gesetzt und wird das auch weiter tun.
Was bringt eine solche Nachricht, wenn sie wieder verpufft.
Von daher werde ich heute und morgen nochmals hellwach sein.

Übrigens habe ich mir bei 2,03 $ nochmal 1000 Stück in mein Depot gelegt. Meine geplante Renovierung, von der ich in thread 17 berichtete, findet erst Ende März statt. Und Ihr wißt ja...

News gibt es bis jetzt nicht zu entdecken, aber ich vermute, daß Miss Walton von einem Auto überfahren wurde oder daß ihr beim Baden ein Fön in die Wanne gefallen ist, warum sonst sollte der Kurs um über 11% nachgeben.
Irgendwas ist da faul, entweder kommen Scheißzahlen und diejenigen, die davon Wind bekommen haben, bringen was in trockene Tücher oder aber die Amis wollen sich mal wieder auf diese Aktie einschießen, was einmal gut ging, meinen sie, kriegen wir auch noch einmal hin.
Ich glaube, ich habe heute keine Lust mehr, vor dem Rechner zu sitzen, die deutschen Märkte geben mir schließlich auch keinen Anlaß zur Freude.
Es paßt alles zum hiesigen sowie weiter angekündigten Wetter. Erst wird`s kalt, daß einem das Blut in den Adern gerinnt (wie beim Anblick so manchen Depots, darunter selbstverständlich auch meines, das einen frösteln läßt), dann wird`s stürmisch und regnerisch, also werden wir im Regen stehen gelassen und holen uns nasse Füße.

Ich lege mich gleich ins kuschelige Bett und spiele ein bißchen. Womit, das wird an dieser Stelle nicht verraten

Settlement releases IntelleSale from $10 million liability and

Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSX - news), today announced that its IntelleSale, Inc. subsidiary has settled its legal disputes with the former owners of Bostek.

IntelleSale had acquired Bostek in June of 1999. In connection with the settlement, IntelleSale will be able to reverse a $10 million liability that it had recorded in connection with the Bostek acquisition. Additionally, the former owners of Bostek have agreed, under certain circumstances, to invest up to $6 million in Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. The settlement is conditioned on the shares being purchased by the former owners of Bostek being registered with the SEC. The former Bostek owners also agreed to indemnify IntelleSale in connection with a different litigation filed against Bostek.

Applied Digital Solutions also announced that it expects to take certain reserves and non-recurring charges for the fourth quarter of 2000.

Das ist gut gemeint, aber ich besitze keine 10000 Stück. Ich bin halt nur einer von vielen hunderttausenden Kleinaktionären, die an ADSX beteiligt sind.

@ erik: Auch wenn dieser thread noch nicht so lange "geladen" werden braucht, eine Bitte an Dich:
Öffne einen neuen thread zu Beginn der Woche. Es beruhigt mich einfach und bei Kingtom hat es leider kein Glück gebracht.

Sale wird also restruktiriert, Leute werden entlassen und man will zu einem gewissen Ursprungsgeschäft zurück. Man ist von Bostek aus einer 10 Mio Dollar Haftung entlassen worden, was der Bilanz von ADSX sicher gut zu Gesicht steht.

Fakt scheint aber auch, daß SALE seine Erwartungen nicht erfüllt hat und jetzt auf ein Kerngeschäft zurückgeführt werden muß. Das bedeutet zwar Umsatzrückgang, könnte aber gleichzeitig Verlustrückgang bedeuten in Verbindung mit späterem, möglich werdenden Verkauf, was ja bisher nie geklappt hat.
Man müßte jetzt mal feststellen, zu welchem Preis SALE in 1999 gekauft wurde und vor allem, wieviel Aktien zu welchem Kurs seinerzeit dafür hergegeben wurden. Diese Stückzahl an Aktien steht ja dann heute als Gegenwert für SALE und der Preis unterliegt der jährlichen Goodwillabschreibung.

Ich will damit folgendes prüfen :

Der Kaufpreis für SALE betrug meintwegen 10 Mio Aktien bei einem seinerzeitigen Kurs von 5$, also 50 Mio Dollar. Mit diesem betrag steht SALE als Vermögenswert in den Büchern von ADSX. Wenn ADSX jetzt für SALE beispielsweise nur 10 Mio bekommen würde, fällt ein Buchverlust von 40 Mio an, der die Bilanz natürlich zerfetzen würde, was bekanntlich für einen Kurs nicht schön ist.

Vielleicht war der Kaufpreis auch niedrigerund SALE istheute mehr wert. Also, wer von Euch stellt mal fest in alten News aus 1999, welchen Kaufpreis ADSX seinerzeit für SALE bezahlt hat und wie er bezahlt wurde ??

Der Kurs hat sich erfreulich bei 2,5$ gehalten, wenn man bedenkt, daß die Nasdaq gesternmal wieder mehr als geschwächelt hat ( minus 4,5% ).

Hier eine sehr interessante SEC Veröffentlichung, welche einen genauen Überblick über den derzeitigen Stand der Dinge bei ADSX gibt :

Es ist schon ein ganz schönes Summelsarium, was da zusammengekauft wurde. Ob da irgendwo ein Puzzle zusammengekauft wurde, was irgendwann ein g`scheites Ganzes ergeben könnte oder sollte, kann ich nicht sagen bzw. beurteilen.

Wir sind jetzt übrigens bei rund 120 Mio Aktien, d.h. die Company wird bei 2,5$ mit rund 300 Mio bewertet.

Wenn sie denn dieses Jahr wirklich 500 Mio bei moderatem Gewinn umsetzen, ist das sicherlich nicht zuviel.

Den sogenannten Durchbruch kann aber eigentlich nur der DA bringen, wie mir scheint.

Infospace hab ich noch ! Hoffnung ? Die stirbt zuletzt, wie Du weißt. Rausgehen bei 4,25$, nachdem ich von 30$ komme ? Lohnt m.E. nicht mehr, weil, wie ich schon sagte, die Hoffnung zuletzt stirbt.

Siehe z.B. ADSX : Wer hatte denn bei 0,50$ noch ernsthaft Hoffnung ? Wer hätte ernsthaft darauf gewettet, daß sie innerhalb von einigen Wochen um fast 400%!! ( von 0,50 intradytief auf heute über 2,50$ )steigen ?? Ich behaupte, fast keiner. So ist das eben mit der Hoffnung.

Wenn wir heute die 3 $ Marke knacken, sind wir ganz schnell bei 4-5. Die heutige Nachricht katapultiert uns in ganz neue Dimensionen. Die ganze Welt kennt nun ADSX und den Digital Angel. Wahrscheinlich (nur ein Gerücht) wird der DA entweder bald ausgelagert, oder ADSX wird übernommen. Dann sind wohl "nur" 7-8 $ drin. Schade - eigentlich.

ADSX für mich, das Topinvestment in 2001.

die Amis sind ein komisches Volk. Die heutige news ist wohl die beste in den vergangenen Tagen. Der Kurs müsste eigentlich deutlicher steigen, na ja, so haben wir wenigstens kein Gap eröffnet.

Man denke nur mal was passiert, wenn ADSX die Umsatzplanzahlen auf 1 Mrd. $ erhöht. (2002).
ADSX wäre dann locker 20 $/share wert.
Wie gesagt, ich denke, ein Investor kommt uns allen zuvor und kauft den Laden auf. Wie ist eure Meinung ?

Bin mal gespannt wie die Printmedien diese News aufnehmen werden.

Das könnte der lang ersehnte Anfang vom Durchbruch nach oben sein. Ich frage mich nur, warum wir nicht alle schon längst auf das Naheliegendste gekommen sind, namlich daß Ms. Watson über ihre sicherlich besten Kontakte zu AT&T an AT&T zwecks Zusammenarbeit herantritt ??

Ich vermute mal, weil keine Sau bis heute genau weiß, was dieses DA delivery System alles kann !! Ich weiß es zumindest nicht.

Ms. Watson hat ja heute noch gesagt, daß man nach der Präsentation des Uhrensystems an weitere Carrier herantreten will und im zweiten Halbjahr 2001 das System in Betrieb gehen kann.

An eine Übernahme glaube ich übrigens jetzt nicht mehr so schnell, zumindst nicht für läppische 8$. Da müssen nämlich die Großaktionäre mitspielen und warum sollen die das nach so langer harter und riskanter Arbeit für so einen Preis machen ??

Wenn jetzt am 10.2.01 noch die Präsentation klappt und wohlmöglich in Kürze der erste große Uhrenauftrag eingeht, müßte eigentlich der Kurs abgehen. Warum der Kurs sich bis jetzt übrigens nicht schon verdoppelt hat, versteh ich überhaupt nicht.

10$ wären 1,2 Milliarden !! Das halte ich nicht für unrealistisch, wenn man den Milliardenmarkt im Auge hat, der sich hier auftun könnte.

Und AT&T ist ja nicht mehr nur irgendeine Company, sondern immerhin die größte Telefongesellschaft der USA !!!! Und die beschäftigen sich doch nicht mit ausgegorenem Pippifax.

Vielleicht können wir bald alle sagen : Das Bibbern und Zittern hat sich gelohnt. Ich würde es uns allen mehr als von Herzen gönnen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vielleicht wird ja heute mittag noch eine Umsatzwarnung nachgeschoben, denn warum wir jetzt nicht aus den Löchern kommen, weiß doch keiner.

1. Küßchen für Mercedes, klar, Walton, nicht Auto! Mehr darf ich mir als Neuehemann nicht erlauben.
2. Aktuell sind`s noch 2,3% Plus (in der Zeit, in der ich hier den Krampf zusammenschreibe, schwankt das Plus zwischen 1,16 und 3,4%), Cisco hat uns da gestern ein Ei ins Nest gelegt (wenn`s dumm läuft, ist das erst der Anfang für Cisco) und belastet natürlich heute den gesamten Markt, weitere Gewinnwarungen sind tatsächlich nicht ausgeschlossen, so daß die Amis sich die Hosen voll machen. Ich frage mich, was die machen würden, wenn es dort drüben eine Letsbuyit.com, oder eine EM-TV gäbe? Das Sparbuch würde wohl drüben der Renner schlechthin. Das Timing der Plazierung guter news hat die Firma noch immer nicht gelernt (oder sind die drüben wirklich verpflichtet, solche ad-hocs gnadenlos zu verkünden, wenn ein deal in trockenen Tüchern ist?

Trotzdem, ich habe saumäßiges Glück gehabt, daß ich permanent verbilligt habe und dicht vor meinem break-even stehe. In mehr als 90% geht es nicht gut, dauernd zu verbilligen, doch mein letztendliches Vertrauen in ADSX könnte sich tatsächlich auszahlen, auch wenn die Amis diese Meldung weitgehend ignorieren! Alleine das Handelsvolumen läßt auf gesteigertes Interesse schließen. Mir ist es jedoch Wurscht, da ich mich seit laaaaaaaaaaanger Zeit entschlossen habe, long zu bleiben. Ob ich nun einen Tag früher oder später mit ordentlich Geld im Depot dastehe, ist mir egal.
Nach drei Tagen Lehrgang ohne Internetzugang, aber mit Sauna, trockenem Unterricht, entsprechend feuchten Gegenmaßnahmen und wenig Schlaf bin ich heute zu müde, den Schlußkurs abzuwarten. Wenn sich`s tatsächlich noch lohnt, kannst Du ja Dein Lieblingsbild hier reinstellen, Erik !

Was Jackson so von sich gegeben hat, würde mich auch interessieren, also: Freiwillige vor! Bitte postet mal, was am Montag so erzählt wurde!

Der Kurs ist eine einzige Enttäuschung ! Beispielsweise hat Infospace heute bekanntgegeben, daß sie bis Ende des Jahres wieder profitabel arbeiten werden. Der Kurs steigt z.Z. trotz mieser Nasdaq von 81 Points um 26% !!! Warum kann das ADSX nicht bei so einer super News wie heute ?? Ich kapier`s nicht mehr. Ich bin der Meinung, daß ist eine der besten News aus den letzten 12 Monaten, wenn nicht die Beste, und dann sowas. Ich kapier`s nicht !!!!!!!!

@Ross, Danke für Deine Wünsche, aber bei mir ist es nun auch schon ein paar Monate her, wenn das auch der Liebe keinen Abbruch getan hat. Ich habe sogar vor der Novemberpräsentation geheiratet, als die Welt noch für ADSXler voller Hoffnung war. Auch heute herrscht wieder mal aufgrund von Meldungen Hoffnung vor, doch ob diese sich tatsächlich bewahrheiten, das werden wir sehen. Bevor ich in meinem Depot nicht den entsprechenden Betrag schwarz auf weiß sehe, hoffe ich zwar ebenfalls, doch vorher bleibe ich noch immer skeptisch, dazu habe ich einfach bei ADSX zu viel erlebt. Das Beispiel von heute, zeigt, was ich meine: Einerseits konkrete deals/Abkommen bei ADSX, die den Kurs nach unten treiben, obwohl sie wirklich kaum zu toppen sind, andererseits ein vages "Versprechen" einer gewiß hoffnungsvollen Firma, das den Kurs, wie von Jani geschildert, um ein Drittel nach oben treibt. Verkehrte Welt, oder anders ausgedrückt: Normale ADSX-Welt!

ADSX Minus 1% wegen Vertrag mit AT&T ( Etwas Besseres gab es bisher im Zusammenhang mit dem DA m.E. noch nicht !!


Wer versteht das ????

Eric : Einstieg in INSP ??

Schwierige Frage ! Nach so einem starken Anstieg gibt`s normalerweise am nächsten Tag was auf die Rübe. Die Aktie scheint mir allerdings stark überverkauft und bisher haben sie ihre zusagen immer mehr als eingehalten ( s. letztes Quartal ). Die Firma ist schuldenfrei, hat 400 Mio cash und sicherlich zukunftsweisende Geschäftsmodelle nebst Technik / Produkte. Umstrukturierung scheint zügig angegangen zu werden ( s. Entlassungen und Trennung von jetzt noch profitablen Bereichen ). Konzentration auf das Zukunftsgeschäft im Wireless / I-TV Bereich halte ich grundsätzlich für positiv.
Wenn die Aktie morgen fällt, würde ich, wenn ich nicht schon welche hätte, abwarten. Wenn sie weiter steigt, würde ich kaufen ( alles meine pers. subjektive Meinung, bekanntlich kann ich auch daneben liegen )!!

Vielleicht holt ADSX ja morgen den Kursanstieg auf über $3 nach.

Es gibt demnach nach dem 10.2. auch zwischen dem am 20.2.01 und 23.2.01 einen interessanten Termin im Februar, welcher u.U. für weitere News und Kurssteigerungen gut sein könnte. Dieser DA scheint außerdem tatsächlich langsam aber sicher Realität zu werden ( was ich erst glaube, wenn er wirklich funktionierend irgendwo installiert ist ) :
