BOSTON, Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Artificial Life, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALIF), a leading provider of intelligent software robots (bots) for the Internet, announced today the planned launch of three new web services. The company will start two financial services oriented websites and one website for utilizing its new web interface technology. All services are intended for mid to end of January 2001 release.
As part of its expanded product strategy for 2001, the company intends to launch two financial websites, a German and a US site. Both sites will be independent, however, similar in their offerings and content. The services will contain much of the core functionality of the company`s flagship product, the Artificial Life Portfolio Manager. Users of the service will be able to employ most of the functionality of the client server version of this product and its sophisticated financial bots to support the functionality of the service.
A third service will be launched to promote the company`s new web interface technology called BotMe(TM). This technology allows users to employ bots as a new customizable interfaced to the web and to use bots on wireless devices.
"We are excited to be able to launch this first set of web services. They are currently in the final stages of beta testing. More details about the exact functionality of the services will be released soon. Although we are a few weeks late with these releases, we expect our clients to be very satisfied with the results of our work on these intelligent, new and powerful web services. We were intending to release six new services in this year. However, due to the market conditions we decided to postpone the release of the three additional services until later in 2001. The first new web services are seen as showcases of our products. We intend to add new features on a regular basis. Our goal is to establish these web services as additional revenue sources for the coming year," said Chairman and CEO Eberhard Schoneburg. About Artificial Life

Artificial Intelligence comes with your Email; Artificial Life releases new Intelligent Email Module
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2002--New York based Artificial Life, Inc (OTCBB: ALIF), a leading provider of intelligent agents and award winning smart bot technology announced today the release of an extension module to its product suite.
The new module allows customers to include artificial intelligence based software robots (smart bots) in emails to generate sales leads and to receive instant client feedback.
The new module is able to provide access to the ALife Smart Bots (TM) through direct emails and mass email campaigns. A client will receive an html mail with an active interface to the intelligent software agent or robot to interact with and to talk to. The intelligent agent will be able to talk to the client in natural language, give a sales pitch or demonstrate a product or propose an individual sales offer. The receiving client can ask questions back or just chat with the robot. The robot can be programmed in any given natural language. The sending party of the email establishes connection to his back office server through the email. Facilitating this connection he has a direct interactive link to the client that receives the email.
The new module will allow email campaigns with fascinating new features such as:
- interactive chat with a virtual sales representative through an
email
- instant feedback to host server of client interaction with the
virtual agent
- intelligent lead generation
- customized product offers and individualized offerings
- statistical analysis of client conversations for cross- and
up-selling
"Our new and intelligent email module presents a break through for the direct marketing and mass mailing industry. With our modules emails can be turned into an interactive and really intelligent medium. It`s no longer passive like digital document. Clients can now interact with virtual sales representatives of companies by just clicking on the email. This opens up a new sales channel for most companies. We expect conversion rates for lead generations to be much higher when our smart bots are included in mass mails" said Eberhard Schoeneburg, CEO of Artificial Life.
