Zwei Goldaktien die nicht im Rampenlicht stehen: High River Gold u Viceroy Resources - 500 Beiträge pro Seite

Hallo zusammen,

wie bereits erwähnt bin ich auf "Schnäppchenjagd" an der Börse Toronto gegegangen und habe in den letzten 2 Wochen folgende Werte akkumuliert (eine Orderausführung an einem Tag zu marktgerechten Kursen ist aufgrund des dünnen Handels leider nicht immer möglich):

High River Gold Mines, Toronto (Ticker: HRG)

Viceroy Resources, Vancouver (Ticker: VOY)

Beide Firmen produzieren Gold zu akzeptablen cash-costs und sind auch bei den derezitigen Goldpreisen cash flow positiv. Beide sind ungehedgt und verfügen neben der laufenden Produktion über umfangreiche Ressourcen, die bei einem steigenden Goldpreis interessant werden (jeweils ca. 5 Mio. Oz.)
Trotzdem notieren die Firmen auf penny stock Niveau und liegen abseits des Interesses.
Ach ja: Die japanische Jipangu ist mit 23,7 % größter Aktionär bei High River.

OK, mein letzter Versuch, das Interesse auf Gigh River zu lenken (das soll KEIN gepushe sein). Folgendes kam heute über die Ticker:

High River Reports Record 2000 Gold Production And Project Plans For 2001
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(HRG:TSE) - High River is pleased to report record combined gold production for the year 2000 (+15%) at significantly reduced unit costs (-5%) for the New Britannia Mine, located in Manitoba, and the two Siberian gold mines of the Russian company, Buryatzoloto.

Production Highlights

At the Company`s 50%-owned, New Britannia Mine, gold production (100%) for the year was 105,512 ounces, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year, exceeding the plan target of 100,275 ounces. Total cash costs per ounce continued to decline, averaging US $210 per ounce, compared to US $216 per ounce in 1999.

New Britannia realized an average gold price of US $280 per ounce for the year and remains unhedged. The production plan for the year 2001 is 101,080 ounces of gold at a total cash cost of US $221 per ounce.

High River holds 26.5% of the voting shares in the Russian company, JSC Buryatzoloto, and is the largest shareholder and strategic advisor to the company. Jipangu Inc., High River`s largest shareholder, strongly supports the Company`s Russian focus and owns a 16.9% equity interest in Buryatzoloto, bringing the combined High River/Jipangu interest in Buryatzoloto to greater than 43%. Buryatzoloto, Russia`s third largest gold producer, continued its outstanding performance in 2000 achieving record gold production at the lowest unit cost in its history. For the year, Buryatzoloto produced 127,128 ounces of gold, an increase of 26% over 1999 at an estimated total cash cost of US $160 per ounce, a 5.3% cost reduction from the 1999 level. The mill at the Irokinda Mine was converted to year round operation and Irokinda`s production for the year increased 58% to 52,256 ounces.

The average gold price realized by Buryatzoloto decreased to US $278 per ounce from US $320 per ounce in 1999, primarily due to the expiration of the majority of the company`s hedging programme. Buryatzoloto still has a small hedge in place with approximately 5% of its annual production sold forward through 2004 at prices averaging US $401 per ounce. Gold production for the year 2001 at Buryatzoloto is expected to exceed 125,000 ounces at an estimated total cash cost of US $175 per ounce. The higher projected cost is the result of increased diesel fuel costs at the Zun-Holba operation. Long term, the plan is to reduce these costs by connecting Zun-Holba to the power grid as is the case now at Irokinda.

With Jipangu`s strong support, High River intends to maintain a strong focus on Russia. Alexandre Balabanov, Chairman of Buryatzoloto, is a Director of High River and Donald Whalen is Chairman of the Canada Russia Business Forum.

Financial Support Provided by Jipangu

High River benefits from the support of a strong financial partner, Mr. Tamisuke Matsufuji, whose Japanese company, Jipangu Inc., has made significant progress in its goal to become a major gold company. In addition to being High River`s largest shareholder with a 23% interest, Jipangu recently acquired a 22% interest in Cambior Inc. as well as an option to purchase 21% of Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. of South Africa. High River is a strategic affiliate of and advisor to Mr. Matsufuji; David Mosher, High River`s President and CEO, is a director of Jipangu and is Jipangu`s representative on Cambior`s board. Having Jipangu as a major shareholder will create opportunities for synergy between the affiliated companies which include High River, Cambior and Harmony.

Exploration Activity

During the year, internally funded exploration programmes, totalling in excess of Cdn. $6.5 million, were carried out by Buryatzoloto ($5.0 million) and New Britannia ($1.5 million). Underground exploration at New Britannia continues to add reserves and has extended the Dick Zone to the 3600 foot level and the Ruttan Zone to the 3300 foot level; both zones remain open at depth.

In addition to replacing and identifying additional reserves, Buryatzoloto is exploring for new discoveries, both in the areas around the current operations and throughout the Republic of Buryatia. The discovery of four new high-grade, low-cost veins at Irokinda resulted in the recent decision to convert the Irokinda Mine into a year-round operation to accommodate the potential for increased production. Management is confident there will be additional discoveries and has concluded that Irokinda will remain a low-cost producer with a long mine life. Buryatzoloto and New Britannia have budgets for equivalent exploration programmes for 2001.

Taparko Project

According to the recently received Taparko Economic Review, prepared by Mr. Graham Farquharson of Strathcona Mineral Services Limited as part of the Pre-Feasibility Study, the Taparko Project will require a higher gold price and additional reserves before a production decision can be made. Mr. Farquharson also stated that many of the currently operating gold mines in West Africa would not have been developed under the existing low gold market conditions and Taparko continues to be one of the most promising projects in Burkina Faso. High River`s acquisition of an option to purchase an additional 18.5% in Taparko effectively gives the Company control over 80% of the project and opens up joint venture possibilities. Negotiations are underway with potential partners, including one with a mill that could result in the reduction of the capital cost. High River is pursing all avenues to move the project forward and made a presentation at the recent MIGA Conference in Burkina Faso entitled ``Advancing the Taparko Project Towards Production in a Difficult Gold Market``. The Company is also evaluating open-pit deposits within haulage distance of Taparko and has entered into negotiations to acquire one property which would potentially add to reserves and positively impact the economics of the project. High River is also planning an exploration programme to expand the resource at Taparko both near surface and at depth during 2001.

Investment in Intrepid Minerals

High River (19.7%) and Jipangu (15.3%) remain the two largest shareholders of Intrepid Minerals Corporation (IAU-CDNX) which is currently active on many fronts. Intrepid recently announced a strategic joint venture to explore for platinum and palladium enriched deposits on its recently acquired property in northwestern Ontario. Intrepid is also in the process of finalizing joint ventures on some of its other projects, including the Cerro Colorado silver/zinc discovery in El Salvador and a significant porphyry copper gold prospect in Northern Mexico. Both joint ventures will provide funding to move these projects toward a development decision. The combined interest of 35% in Intrepid, provides High River and Jipangu access to exciting exploration projects with substantial blue sky potential. Mr. Mosher is a director of Intrepid and Dr. Laurence Curtis, President and CEO of Intrepid, is a High River representative on the board of Buryatzoloto.

The Gold Sector

The gold industry appears to be in a climax selling and consolidation phase. To survive and add value for shareholders in this market, gold companies must remain unhedged, must replace production with new reserves and must have new projects positioned for development when the gold price rises. High River`s view is that gold ended its 18 year secular price decline in August 1999 and has since been forming a long base prior to beginning a new long term secular price advance. Mr. Ian Notley, a respected technical analyst, recently reported that there have only been five periods during the past 60 years for low-risk purchase of gold mining shares and that the 5th period has just registered. He concluded this to be a ``once-in-a-lifetime opportunity`` to purchase gold shares into weakness over the next few months. High River`s projects are positioned in a manner that will provide substantial share price leverage to gold in a rising gold price environment.


Fazit: Die Marktkapitalisierung beträgt lächerliche 10 Mio. Can-$. Ich habe mir ein Paket zur Seite gelegt und habe nicht vor zu traden oder es sonstwie für die nächste Zeit anzufassen. Selbst wenn sich High River verzehnfachen sollte, bleiben sie unterbewertet. Auf dem jetzigen Niveau Goldaktien billig einzusammeln ist nun mal das Gebot der Stunde. Soll der Neue Markt und die NASDAQ gleich mit doch zur Hölle fahren!

OK, ich verstehe das Problem. Wie gesagt, ein bischen Liquidität habe ich noch.
Außerdem fällt mir momentan keine bessere Verwendung für die monatlich reintrudelden Gehaltsschecks ein (Mein Weihnachstgeld habe ich zu 100 % in Cambior gesteckt).
Da ich "noch" kein Frauchen habe, das mir mit Lebensversicherung, Privatrente und Bausparvertrag in den Ohren liegt und ich auch nicht meine ganze frei verfügbare Kohle in Wein, Whisky und Zigarren umsetzen möchte (von Urlaub halte ich momentan auch nichts), sammel ich eben ein paar Goldaktien, die am Boden liegen, auf.

Danke, Glück kann man immer gebrauchen.
Aber irgendwie habe ich die Phase das mir irgendetwas auf dem Börsenparkett Angst machen kann, schon vor langer Zeit hinter mir gelassen.
Heute ist Valentinstag, der gleiche 14. Februar vor genau einem Jahr wird mir noch lange im Gedächtnis bleiben: Das war der Höhepunkt der Ashanti-Krise, die Gläubigerbanken hatten eine Krisensitzung nach der anderen, die Zerschlagung von Ashanti wurde im täglichen Goldmarktbericht von Reuters schon vorweggenommen und der Staat Ghana drohte mit Verstaatlichung.
Und was habe ich gemacht? Für 1 1/2 $ massiv nachgekauft und gesagt: "Doppelt oder nichts."
Heute ist Ashanti zwar immer noch massiv unterbewertet und das Vertrauen der Investoren längst nicht vollständig zurückgewonnen, aber ich schätze ich liege mit der Performance seitdem besser als die meisten NASDAQ- und Neuer Markt Anleger.
Also was soll ich mich aufregen?
Ich bin in meinem Börsenleben genau zweimal voll auf die Schnauze gefallen (Totalverlust), aber noch nie in Minenaktien (einmal mit einer japanischen Bank, einmal mit ner Technologieaktie). Ich habe mich bisher immer wieder hoch gekämpft, unter diesem Aspekt kenne ich also keine Angst.

Hi Sovereign,
zu Deinem Autoabenteuer.
Bei der Fahrt zur Arbeit in Ffm um 6.00h fuhren mir 3 übernächtigte junge Leute rein. Innerhalb von ca. 3 Minuten brannte mein Wagen lichterloh. Polizei, Feuerwehr usw. waren gleich zur Stelle.
Reaktion der Fetengänger:
1. Man solle mich auf Alkohol testen.
2. Der Andere "Eben war noch alles in Ordnung und jetzt, alles ausgebrannt"
Die wurden gleich zum Test einbehalten. Der Fall war völlig klar.
Aber wie bei Dir, keinerlei Entschuldigung/Verantwortung. Sofortiger lächerlicher Versuch Schuld abzuwälzen.
Nur mal so, daß ich weiß wie das ist.

Übrigens: Ich halte es demnächst mit der Bibel.
Wie war das mit dem Schweinezyklus und den 7 fetten/dünnen Jahren? 1995 habe ich meine gesamtes Depot (Goldminen etc)
verkauft. Bin dann leider zu früh (1998) wieder eingestiegen. Aber ... 2002 ist nicht mehr fern.
Und wenn 2002 nicht klappt, dann eben 2003.

Ich habe Deine Unfallstory gelesen und muß sagen, daß sich da wirklich viele Paralellen auftuen:
Folgende Szene spielte sich auf dem Standstreifen ab:
Ich steige aus, er kurbelt erst mal nur die Scheibe runter und sagt mir, daß er weder Führerschein und Papiere bei sich hat, aber es würde ja reichen, wenn er mir seine Adresse aufschreibt und dann weiterfährt (netter Versuch, so dumm bin ich auch nicht, außerdem kann er die Karre ja auch geklaut haben). Also, beim Sprechen bemerke ich seine Fahne (muß wohl ne Flasche von so nem Giftmüllzeugs wie Scharlachberg oder Mariacron gewesen sein...bäh).
Ich: "Kann es sein, daß Sie getrunken haben"
"Nö, ich habe gerade ein Hustenbonbon gegessen"
Wow, tolles Hustenbonbon denke ich mir und rufe die Polizei über Handy.
Solche Typen machen mich echt krank: Hat keine Arbeit und verdient sich Geld indem er unter der Woche als Freizeit-DJ über die Dörfer zieht, ist als Folge fünfmal die Woche sturzbesoffen (vielleicht zieht er sich auch noch ein paar Pillen rein), schnappt sich Mutti`s alten Peugeot und brettert über die Autobahn um zu seiner ABM-Stelle zu fahren (was er da besoffen großartig arbeiten will, ist mir sowieso ein Rätsel).
Dann baut er nen Unfall, schiebt die Schuld auf andere und holt seinen Vater den Lehrer zur Hilfe (wenn der noch nicht mal seinen Sohn erziehen kann, sehe ich für unser Schulsystem schwarz). Danach zieht sich die ganze Sache über 3 Gerichtsverhandlungen mit Gutachtern usw. hin und am Schluß ist er sowieso dran, bloß das meine Rechnung incl. Verzugszinsen, Leihwagen, Verdienstausfall, Anwalt, Gutachter, Zeugengeld eben auch exorbitant gestiegen ist.
Tja, das ist unser Rechtssystem. Man kann seine Außenstände leider nicht mehr auf die rustikale gute alte Art eintreiben: Sonst hätte ich mir eine Eisenstange geschnappt, hätte ihm nen Besuch abgestattet und jede Mark einzeln aus ihm rausgeprügelt. Na ja, die Zeiten ändern sich, aber ich glaube meine Methode hätte einen ungleich höheren Lerneffekt für den Missetäter.

Viceroy Corporate Update
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Viceroy Resource Corporation (``Viceroy``) is pleased to announce significant progress on several fronts in the second half of 2001 including:

- retirement of the outstanding $3 million convertible debenture issued to NM Rothschild (Australia) Limited and Macquarie Banking Limited (``the Banks``) as part of Viceroy`s settlement agreement in Australia;

- better than expected results for the second half of 2001 from trickledown gold production totaling approximately 30,100 ounces at a gross consolidated cash cost (including onsite reclamation) of approximately US$160/oz from the Company`s two operations in North America;

- establishment of a Heads of Agreement with the Government of Canada to ensure that more than $8 million in restricted cash deposits can be drawn down to offset future reclamation costs at the Company`s Brewery Creek Mine in the Yukon.

During the second half of 2001, Viceroy has focused its efforts on the finalization of a settlement arrangement with the Banks, which relieved Viceroy and its North American subsidiaries of all borrowing and hedging guarantees related to its Australian operations (Refer to October 26 and August 31, 2001 press releases for additional details). Under the settlement arrangement Viceroy issued 23 million shares, relinquished its equity position in NovaGold Resources Inc., paid $0.7 million in cash and issued a convertible note for $3 million. Viceroy is pleased to report that the convertible note has now been paid and that Viceroy has no further obligations to the Banks.

Trickledown operations at both mines in North America have continued ahead of expectation, especially at Castle Mountain in the last half of 2001. Over the second half of 2001 Viceroy`s share of Castle Mountain gold production was approximately 22,500 ounces and in the same period gold production at Brewery Creek was approximately 7,600 ounces. Anticipated gross cash costs (including onsite reclamation) are expected to be US$115/oz and US$280/oz respectively for each operation.

Over the final months of 2001, Viceroy has also completed a Heads of Agreement with the Government of Canada providing for the establishment of a reclamation trust. The trust will be funded by more than $8 million in cash deposits already set aside by Viceroy to fund future reclamation at the Brewery Creek mine located in the Yukon. Under the agreement it is intended that funds will be available to Viceroy, from time to time, to accomplish the decommissioning and reclamation as required under the closure plan.

The Company`s unrestricted cash position at year-end was approximately $5.9 million (excluding approximately $14.4 million restricted cash for reclamation). From this position the Company is intending to refocus its attention to tax effective exploration and development opportunities in North and South America as well as working toward recovery of value from prior investment in Australia.

Na ja, Viceroy ist ein zweischneidiges Schwert

Ich hab die Aktien im Frühjahr für 0,24 Can-$ gekauft, dann gings nach ner kurzen Zwischenerholung steil nach unten
Kurz vor Weihnachten hab ich dann für 0,08 Can-$ massiv nachgekauft (quasi als Option auf den Goldpreis).
Die Nachrichten von heute sind nicht neu (bis auf die Einigung mit der kanadischen bzgl. "restricted cash"). Angesichts der Tatsache das N.M. Rothschild nun Großaktionär ist, sehe ich allerdings auf 6-Monatssicht deutlich höhere Kurse (0,3 bis 0,4 Can-$ je Aktie).

P.S.: Die ebenfalls von mir erwähnte High River hat sich ungleich besser entwickelt: Kaufkurs 0,28 Can-$, aktuell bei 0,6 Can-$, außerdem gab`s in der Zwischenzeit ein Bezugsrecht, was sich für etwa 0,05 Can-$ verkaufen ließ...

Wenn das noch ein Weilchen so weitergeht, dann gehen in DE die vernünftigen Goldminenaktien aus ... dann wärs gut in Toronto zu traden.

bei Comdirect kann man in Toronto handeln, leider nicht online. Bestätigungen kommen meist einen Tag später.

Allerdings können über Comdirect keine Auslands-Realtime-Kurse eingesehen werden, nicht einmal von den Kundenberatern. Außerdem können Aktien, deren Heimatbörse in Canada liegt, meist nicht in USA gehandelt werden (was ansonsten online geht).

Aber bei den guten Gewinnen, die in Toronto winken, kann einem das relativ egal sein.

Die meisten Kanadawerte werden in den USA OTC gehandelt, also auch über US-Broker zu beziehen (allerdings nicht in margin Konten).

Ansonsten routet mein Broker die Orders für Toronto an Nesbitt Burns weiter. Geht alles relativ schnell, und die Extragebühren von 60 Can-$ zzgl zur normalen Effektenprovision sind auch fair.

Hm, da leider geht`s bei Viceroy wieder etwas zurück...

Nochmal zur Empfehlung: Emerald ist der, der die Franco-Nevada Übernahme durch Newmont angekündigt hatte (zu dem Zeitpunkt eigentlich unvorstellbar, es waren Gerüchte im Markt, daß Newmont Normandy übernehmen wolle, was auch Sinn machte. Auf einen Triple-Merger wäre ich nie gekommen.).

Emerald behauptet nun, Viceroy plane etwas mit den 23 Mio. Aktien, die bei australischen Banken liegen (aufgrund der Schwierigkeiten mit der Bounty Mine).

Mal sehen, was dran ist.

Paredones Amarillos Gold Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Viceroy Resource Corporation ("Viceroy") announces that it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to sell its 100% interest in the Paredones Amarillos gold project on the Baja Peninsula, Mexico, to Vista Gold Corp. ("Vista"). Completion of the transaction is subject to completion of a due diligence review of the project by Vista, governmental and regulatory approvals, and execution of a definitive purchase agreement.

Total consideration to be received by Viceroy for the project will be Cdn $3.0 million and will be payable 50% in cash, with Cdn. $1.0 million due at closing, Cdn. $0.5 million due one year from closing, and 50% in Vista equity units (the "Equity Units") consisting of one common share and one warrant to purchase one common share for a period of two years. The price of the Equity Units will be 90% of the weighted average closing price of Vista`s common shares on the five trading days immediately preceding the date of the definitive purchase agreement. The warrants will be priced at 125% of the weighted average closing price of Vista`s common shares on the five trading days immediately preceding the date of the definitive purchase agreement.

Viceroy`s First Quarter 2002 Financial Results & Update
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Viceroy Resource Corporation ("Viceroy") reports consolidated earnings of $2.5 million ($0.03 per share) and generated cash flow from operations of $2.8 million for the first quarter of 2002.

At Castle Mountain, recovery of gold from ore previously placed on the leach pads was 11,643 ounces attributable to Viceroy at a gross cash cost including site reclamation of US$72 per ounce. Production for 2002 from Castle Mountain is estimated to be 34,350 ounces to Viceroy at a gross cash cost including site reclamation of US$108 per ounce.

Viceroy has started a detoxification and heap stabilisation program at its Brewery Creek Mine as a result of the significant decline in gold production. Viceroy is planning to complete some reclamation activities during the year including re-vegetation of pits, dumps and site roads. Work continued during the quarter on completing the Brewery Creek Trust and Drawdown Agreements with the Government of Canada to ensure future recovery of the reclamation cash security deposit of $8.1 million as reclamation work progresses.

As part of Viceroy`s renewed commitment to exploration, Viceroy commenced active acquisition of mineral rights through staking programs and option agreements. The Company signed an option agreement with the Eureka Joint Venture (Owned - 50% Expatriate Resources Ltd and 50% Strategic Metals Corp). The Eureka Joint Venture property consists of 164 claims located 50 kilometres southwest of Brewery Creek Mine near Dawson City, Yukon. Viceroy may, at its option, earn an initial 50% interest by completing $0.9 million in exploration expenditures over four years and making cash payments of $40,000. Viceroy has a second option to increase its interest to 65% by making an additional $0.6 million of exploration expenditures on the property or to enter into a joint venture to continue exploration and development of the property.

Viceroy has also expanded its inventory of investments in junior exploration companies by optioning mineral properties located in Northern British Columbia to Newcastle Minerals Ltd and Consolidated Earth Stewards Inc. in return for cash, shares in the junior company and a NSR.

The Company ended the quarter with a free cash balance of $9.1 million. In addition, Viceroy has appropriated and restricted cash balances of $18.3 million for reclamation obligations and deferred compensation. At March 31, 2002, the Company`s working capital position was $8.5 million and with all long-term debt repaid.

Viceroy recently announced, subject to regulatory acceptance, a non-brokered private placement that will provide Viceroy with gross cash proceeds of $2.5 million to be added to working capital to fund ongoing exploration, to acquire new exploration properties and general corporate use.

Viceroy also just announced that it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to sell its 100% interest in Paredones Amarillos project to Vista Gold Corp. for $3.0 million subject to due diligence, necessary approvals and a formal purchase agreement.

Viceroy Resource Corporation: Completion Of Private Placement for $2.5 Million
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Further to its News Release dated May 1, 2002, Viceroy Resource Corporation ("Viceroy") is pleased to announce that it has completed a non-brokered private placement of 16 million units of Viceroy at a price of $0.1575 per unit. Each unit is comprised of one common share and one common share purchase warrant with every two warrants entitling the holder thereof to acquire one Viceroy common share at a price of $0.20 per share for a period of two years. The private placement has provided Viceroy with gross cash proceeds of $2,520,000.

Langsam kommt Viceroy in Bewegung...
Bis Ende Mai wird die Fusion mit der kanadischen Quest Financial (Ticker QA.TO) abgeschlossen sein.
Die werden mit Viceroy fusionieren um deren hohe steuerlichen Verlustvorträge nutzen zu können.
Für 3 Viceroy-Aktien gibts 1 Quest A Aktie (notiert bei 1,20 Can $), das entspricht also 0,40 Can $ je Vieroy Aktie.
Nun wird`s interessant, denn die Goldassest sind nicht Bestandteil des Deals sondern werden an die Viceroy-Aktionäre in Form einer Stock Dividende ausgeschüttet:

Für 10 Viceroy Aktien gibts 1 Viceroy-Exploration Aktie (diese hält die Goldexplorationsassets in Argentinien)

und außerdem sollen die kanadischen Goldassets in eine weiter Gesellschaft ausgegleidert werden und diese Aktien ebenfalls ausgeschüttet werden (Details werden noch bekanntgegeben).

Fazit: Die Goldassets der Viceroy werden aktuell nur mit 0,12 Can $ bewertet (0,52 - 0,4 Quest Anteil)....ich sehe in den nächsten Wochen noch Potential, daß der Wert auf 0,80 hochläuft.
Meine Quest-Aktien werde ich nach Erhalt übrigens verkaufen, ich bin an Gold und nicht an Investmentbanken interessiert.

Dann wird`s auch noch eine "Kanada-Aktie" geben (Name noch nicht bekannt), die die Brewery-Creek-Mine und die großen Gebiete im Yukon-Gebiet enthält (mE die interessantere der beiden Goldasset-Aktien).

Muss ich mir sowas wirklich bieten lassen? Du preist mich weise, ein Anderer nennt mich einen Narren. So unterschiedlich sind des Menschen Ansichten.

P.S.: Die Performance meiner High River hat Viceroy noch nicht getoppt. Insofern gebührt dem Wert nur eine Silbermedaille. Ich hoffe, daß der spin-off der Quest-Aktien aus Viceroy bald von statten geht, denn für diesen Erlös habe ich schon einen anderen Goldwert, der nicht im Rampenlicht steht, im Fadenkreuz. Wurde meines Wissens hier bei W:0 noch nie besprochen...mehr wird jetzt aber nicht verraten.

Was ich auch positiv werte ist die Tatsache, daß ein Kursanstieg momentan vom zehnfachen an Volumen begleitet wird wie gestern der kleine Rücksetzer, wo einfach keiner Stücke zu niedrigeren Kursen hergeben wollte...

Viceroy gibt bekannt was mit den kanadischen Assets passieren soll: Es wird eine Gesellschaft zusammen mit Novagold (dem shooting star der kanadischen Börse) gegründet!
Für die Aktionäre ergibt das folgendes: Für 1 Viceroy Aktie gibt`s 1/3 Quest A share (Kurs heute 1,30 Can-Dollar)...d.h. 0,43 CAD je Viceroy Aktie.
Viceroy notiert heute bei 0,52 CAD....für den Differenzbetrag = 0,09 CAD gibt 1/10 Viceroy Exploration share (hält assets in Südamerika) und eine Ausschüttung an Aktien der neu gegründeten Spectrum Gold (Verhältnis steht noch aus).
Für mich hat Viceroy Luft bis 0,80 CAD...beis Ende Mai soll der deal abgeschlossen sein!

Joint News Release: NovaGold and Viceroy To Create
New Canadian Exploration Company
Thursday May 1, 9:35 am ET

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2003--NovaGold Resources Inc.
(TSX:NRI - News) and Viceroy Resource Corporation (TSX:VOY - News) have agreed to jointly
form a new exploration company to be called - SpectrumGold Inc. The new company will hold
all of NovaGold`s Yukon exploration properties and mineral assets of Viceroy located in the
Yukon and British Columbia. The new company will focus on exploration in the Western
Canadian Cordillera.

NovaGold and Viceroy will each own 50% of the new exploration company at its formation.
NovaGold intends to initially retain its 50% of the shares in the new company, while Viceroy
intends to retain 19% of the issued shares with the balance of its shares to be received by its
current shareholders as part of the Plan of Arrangement previously reported March 4, 2003. It is
a condition of the agreement between NovaGold and Viceroy that an application be made to list
the shares of SpectrumGold on a senior stock exchange following the completion of the Plan of
Arrangement. There is no certainty that the shares of SpectrumGold will become listed.
SpectrumGold will be managed by the NovaGold Management Team. The Board of Directors of
the new company will consist of up to 7 members comprised of nominees from both NovaGold
and Viceroy.

NovaGold will continue to focus on development of its Alaska projects and will contribute its
four Tintina Gold Belt properties in the Yukon to the new venture: Klondike, McQuesten, Harlan
and Sprogge. Viceroy will contribute the gold resources and exploration rights to the Brewery
Creek Gold Mine in the Yukon and other mineral assets located in British Columbia.
SpectrumGold will be initially funded with $1 million in cash with $500,000 contributed from
each of the founding companies. It is anticipated that SpectrumGold will seek additional
financing and will acquire additional exploration assets in Western Canada.

Ich werde den merger abwarten und dann die erhaltenen Quest-Aktien verkaufen (Investmentbanking interessiert mich nicht), das Geld werde ich in einen anderen kanadischen Explorer investieren.

Die erhaltenen Viceroy Exploration und Spectrum Gold Aktien werde ich dagegen langfristig behalten....vielleicht wird was draus! Wenn nicht auch OK meinen EInsatz habe ich beim Quest-Anteil ohnehin mit nem guten return zurück. Ich sehe die Explorationsaktien eher als langfristige Option auf den Goldpreis.
