Hi!
Tradingchance!

@Mario,

Was macht denn Blodget?

@Mario,

@siamsi,
ja.

@siamsi,

Barilla Powers Internet Offering With BroadVision Applications
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 2001-- BroadVision, Inc. (Nasdaq:BVSN), a leading supplier of e-business applications, today announced that BroadVision(R) software has been selected by The Barilla Group, one of the most important brand names in Italy, to power Barilla`s new internet portal for global catering professionals and consumers.
The Barilla Group is using a variety of applications from BroadVision`s suite to produce the portal. Leveraging BroadVision`s One-To-One(R) personalization features, Barilla is using both BroadVision Retail Commerce(TM), a scalable retail e-commerce solution for personalized, profitable customer relationships and BroadVision Business Commerce(TM), a high performance, integrated e-commerce solution for automating and extending B2B relationships.
"Our goal is to establish personalized relationships with our customers, adapted to the various customs and tastes around the world, by exploiting a flexible e-business platform," said Alessandro Ferrario, e-commerce project director for Barilla. "With this in mind, we opted for the speed and flexibility offered by BroadVision`s solution."
"Barilla is an extremely prestigious customer," said Pierpaolo Taliento, managing director of BroadVision Italia. "We are particularly happy to work with an Italian company with such a well-known, strong name brand that aims to move into world markets. `Made-in-Italy` is also very strong in the food sector and I am sure that Barilla, like our other Italian customers -- including Xelion, a member of the Unicredito Group and Fiat -- will obtain success with their BroadVision investment."
About The Barilla Group
The Barilla Group (with its Barilla, Mulino Bianco, Pavesi, Voiello, Wasa, Misko and, Filiz brand names) started in 1877 from a shop selling bread and pasta and is, today, the largest Italian food group. Leading E-Marketplace Development Executive, Paul Pasquier of The Boeing Company, to Deliver Friday Keynote Address at Electronic Commerce World Spring 2001 Conference and Exhibit
NEW YORK, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- With more than 500 public and private virtual trading exchanges and e-marketplaces in operation and more on the way, it`s no wonder that electronic commerce managers have questions. They need to make decisions ranging from "Which ones do I join?" to "How will I pay for this?" and "Do I build this internally or farm out the job?" Managers have a critical need for guidance and practical advice on the best way to evaluate and implement an e-marketplace strategy.
That`s precisely the cutting-edge insight and perspective conference attendees will get from Paul L. Pasquier, director of eBuy for The Boeing Company. Mr. Pasquier will deliver the keynote address at 9:15am on Friday, June 1, 2001 at the Electronic Commerce World Spring 2001 Conference and Exhibit (May 31-June 1) at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.
"Paul is a driving force behind the exciting e-commerce movement underway at Boeing and he is helping to develop their shared trading exchange, Exostar, into an e-marketplace that`s catching the attention of the biggest players in the aerospace industry and e-commerce, including BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin Corp. and Raytheon Co." says Ed Dwyer, senior vice president of EC Media Group, a Thomson Financial company and sponsor of the Electronic Commerce World Spring 2001 Conference and Exhibit. "Paul comes to our conference with a wealth of hands-on experience in building an online procurement and e- marketplace program that works. Our attendees will benefit greatly from what he and Boeing have to say. He rounds out a trio of keynote speakers who truly know the events and trends shaping the future of e-business."
Mr. Pasquier is titling his speech "Shifting the Supply Chain." In his speech, which will be delivered to senior e-commerce business executives, Mr. Pasquier will describe where he sees direct goods procurement and e-marketplace trends heading from the end user`s perspective. He also will discuss Exostar, the independent marketplace that Boeing founded with other large aerospace manufacturers and systems integrators. This new exchange uses a common language to standardize transactions and supports automated purchases and auctions of commodity-based products such as spare parts for airplanes. By using this new system, Boeing is cutting internal transaction processing costs by 80%. Mr. Pasquier will illustrate how Boeing`s success can be an example for any company looking to cut costs and streamline their enterprise.
Before joining Boeing`s Shared Services Division, Mr. Pasquier was director of Strategic Sourcing and Asset Management for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group`s Supply Management and Procurement Division. In that position, he coordinated supplier management activities in support of the company-wide Supply Chain Evaluation and Asset Utilization program.
Mr. Pasquier will join other high-profile conference keynoters and speakers, including Pehong Chen, CEO of BroadVision Inc., (Nasdaq: BVSN) and Harvey Seegers, CEO of GE Global eXchange Services.
