Tivo wer hier nicht dabei ist der wird es nie lernen.
Kaufen bis die Schwarte Kracht und sonst nix.Personal video recorder company TiVO (TIVO: news, msgs, alerts) made it possible to watch whatever television show you wanted whenever you wanted without having to know when it was being screened or on what channel - and with a button for skipping the ads.
`So for $199 the I can destroy an entire industry`
"My children refuse to watch any scheduled TV now," he said. Pointing out that it would be seen as ludicrous if a publisher said you could only read Business Week between certain times on a certain day.
"So for $199 [for the TiVO] I can destroy an entire industry. Every company is going to need the capability of radical innovation."

Eventually, the DCT-5000 boxes may be upgraded with the original advanced Microsoft software, but AT&T said there is "no time frame" for that to happen. "Instead of trying to leap tall buildings, we`re doing a crawl, walk, run," said Susan Marshall, senior vice president at AT&T Broadband, a division that includes AT&T`s cable TV assets.
AT&T officials said the company`s interactive-TV strategy and the shift toward less complex services "evolved" from market research.
Instead of surfing the Web via the TV, Ms. Marshall said, customers want "enhanced" video products, such as video on demand and personal video recorders-devices that automatically save a TV show to a computer hard drive, letting viewers "pause" live TV and skip commercials, like products currently on the market from companies such as TiVo Inc.
Saving money could be another motivation behind the shift, analysts said. AT&T, saddled with heavy debts, is in the midst of breaking into four pieces. AT&T Broadband will be split off into a separate, stand-alone company next year, and the division has been trying to trim costs in anticipation.
Right now, if a cable company deploys a high-end box like the advanced version of DCT-5000, the costs can be significantly higher, says Josh Bernoff, an analyst at Forrester Research. "No one has been able to tell yet what incredible new service you can deploy [on it] to get your money back" from consumers.
