      Hallo Gold-FreakS!

      Bei www.minesite.com meint man:

EURASIA MINING NEEDS TO PRODUCE SOLID FACTS IN 2001, AND PREFERABLY GOOD RESULTS.

Eurasia Mining , with its platinum group metals exploration programme in the Urals, has always appealed as a concept but it is not easy to pin down exactly what the company is doing. Much was made last year of the fact that Amplats, the world`s biggest platinum producer, committed around US$250,000 to what is described as a joint venture to assess the potential for commercial exploitation of large scale PGM tailings and alluvial deposits in the region.

Just before Christmas it was announced that Amplats was going to throw in a further
US$500,000 to fully fund the work on platinum alluvials and tailings deposits. This decision follows " a successful work programme over the past fifteen months including the development of conceptual exploration models for large-scale commercial platinum occurrences in the Urals. Field work during the summer and autumn this year has clearly highlighted the potential for the discovery of resources of sufficient dimension to underpin full-scale platinum production from alluvials and tailings occurrences."

Unfortunately there is not a fact or figure in there which gives any real information to Eurasia shareholders and the impression is left that Amplats is simply using Eurasia because of the size of its properties in the Urals and its working relationships with the regional government and various local academic and technical institutions. This impression is confirmed by the terms of the joint venture which say that Amplats can earn a 50 per cent interest in any project by funding it through to feasibility. Thereafter each party would contribute to the level of its interest. Feasibility and development are the two items which demand heavy money so Eurasia would be in danger of being diluted out of the picture.

This year Amplats aims to define sufficient resources to be worth mining.. Work is expected to include churn drilling, trenching and pitting supported by completion of detailed air photo interpretation with seismic and/or resistivity surveys for hole depth definition. Other pre-feasibility work will include metallurgical recovery test work, capital equipment procurement, and an assessment of refining and sales options. Hopefully a news stream will keep Eurasia shareholders abreast of progress.

They are also a bit in the dark about the Baronskoye palladium/gold project which the company intended to bring into production last year. Drilling was done there, but the only results announced so far were fairly disappointing. Now the drill has been moved on to the Soloviev Hill platinum project which is about 50 kms south south-west of Baronskoye so results should be forthcoming from there in the fairly near future.

Maybe the appointment of Michael Martineau as a non-executive director will improve communications and add cohesion to the exploration programme. He has plenty of experience to bring to the party from a number of countries and several leading companies such as Seltrust, Cluff Minerals and Samax and is now a director of Ashanti. It is only fair to add that he was not a director at the time of the hedging fiasco.

Eurasia Mining does not have too much money so perhaps he could initiate a deal with one of the Russian companies dredging for PGMs nearby and thus generate some cash flow. Such a move would add substance to what is an interesting concept.

Auszug aus der Mitteilung vom 17.5.2001: "The joint venture over alluvial platinum with Anglo Plats continues to make good progress. A winter seismic programme has been completed successfully over a potentially large target and the results are currently being assessed."

Anglo setzen.

      http://www.lynasgold.com.au

      78 Mio. Aktien LYC.AX
      24 Mio. Optionen LYCOC.AX, Basis 0.40A$
      Kurs heute schwach bei LYC.AX 0.12A$, LYCOC.AX 0.035A$, MKP ca. 10 Mio. A$

      http://www.cardinalminerals.com

      Mt. Weld Projekt (Seltene Erden)
A$ Exporterlösen "The Project has an expected life of up to 30 years and is estimated to generate export earnings in excess of $50m per annum from 2002 / 2003. "). 2010 kann Mt. Weld evtl.

A$, 50% Anteil, 30% Gewinnspanne könnte Lynas alleine aus Wt.

      ---------------------

Muß mich allerdings noch genauer einlesen...

Hat jemand die WKN für Lynas?

Final approvals received to enable mining to proceed on the Fullerton extension.
Mineral Deposits Limited ("MDL") and Iscor Limited ("Iscor") concluded agreements to progress development of the Indian mineral sands projects.
Iscor invests $5.0 million to acquire 11.3 million shares in MDL, a 15.4% stake.
Mineral Deposits (Operations) Pty Ltd at Hawks Nest announces an after tax profit of $1.82 million at the half-year. A final write-down of non-strategic assets resulted in a group loss of $1.23 million for the six month period.
Cash assets were $6.21 million at 31 March 2001 with $3.8 million held in domestic accounts and a further $2.41 million earmarked and since transferred to our 100%-owned Mauritian holding company to be used solely for the two Indian projects.
The board welcomes the appointment of Captain S.P. Singh, Chairman of our associate, WSIL Mineral Sands India Pvt Ltd, as a non-executive director of the company

      --------------

      Was hältst du davon?

Thread: Tagesbericht: Gold, Analyse: Resolute (Australien)
Thread: Tagesbericht: Gold, Analyse: Resolute (Australien)
Ich habe da eben was gesehen ...

      Plotin,
      http://www.lynasgold.com.au/projects/lynassca.pdf
      (Tabelle Seite 5)

      Ich muß weg ...

      @gholzbauer:

      ------------

      http://www.mbendi.co.za/a_sndmsg/news_view.asp?P=0&PG=11&I=2…

      18.Jun.2001

Julia Corporation announces acquisition & option to acquire tantalite mining tenements
The company is pleased to announce that it has extended its search for viable tantalite deposits south of the Bynoe, Northern Territory area, to a 300 square kilometre area in the Pine Creek Geosyncline near Cosmos Howley.

Central to the area acquired are the Mt Shoobridge and Barretts Tin/Tantalum Mines.

Julia Gold Pty Ltd ("Julia") has acquired MLN 544 from Mr Bob Biddlecombe, a Darwin Prospector, as an outright purchase for $50,000. Julia has also entered into a three-year option with Mr Biddlecombe to acquire ERL 88, MLN 296, MCN 60 and HLDN`s 45 and 43 and with Mr Biddlecombe`s company, Biddlecombe Pty Ltd, to acquire ELA`s 22186 and 23105. Terms of the option include a three year option for Mr Biddlecombe to acquire 500,000 shares in the capital of Julia Corporation Limited at 20 cents per share, and Julia may exercise its option after three years by payment of $250,000 and the issue of 2,500,000 ordinary shares in the capital of Julia Corporation Limited to Mr Biddlecombe. Mr Biddlecombe and his company shall also retain a 1% production royalty over the tenements.

This area is located approximately 30km south of the Labelle pegmatite currently being drill tested by the company.

The Mount Shoobridge Mine (also known as the Old Company Mine) is at the northern end of a north trending pegmatite belt extending southward for three kilometres. The Barretts Mine is located on the south end of this pegmatite. Recent sampling of pegmatites in this area has returned strong tantalum values of several pounds Ta per tonne.

The mineralised pegmatites show visible tin and tantalum mineralization and are exposed in costeans and shafts throughout the strike length. Individual pegmatites have been worked over strike lengths of 350 metres.

At Barretts costeans have proven the width of the pegmatite at 30 metres. The contact sediments to the pegmatites have been extensively explored for gold in recent times. Previous explorers have noted that cassiterite (tin) is present throughout the Barretts pegmatite and tantalite crystals up to 1cm long have been found in the wall zone.

The Mount Shoobridge Mine was worked intermittently for tin from 1882 to about 1983. Samples recently collected from the waste dumps from this activity have assayed approximately a half-pound of tantalum to the tonne.

Julia intends to explore these deposits in the current field season after the current programmes of drilling at Labelle and Leviathan have been completed. A large 36 tonne Schramm RC drill rig will commence down dip testing of the Labelle pegmatite this week whilst the smaller RC drill rig has been moved to Leviathan. Most drill samples have been prepared for assay at a nearby laboratory at Pine Creek where the final sample is then forwarded for assay at the AMDL laboratory in Adelaide.

Eurasia Mining PLC - Final Results
      RNS; Jun 28, 2001

      PRESS RELEASE

PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT OF AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31
      DECEMBER 2000

      * New Technical Leadership set in place at Board Level

      * Focused programme for large shallow Platinum Group Metals targets in
established provinces; provision made in the accounts for historic
      gold projects

      * Major land acquisition programme under way in Urals and South Africa
      following:

      * Discovery of high-grade palladium veins and broad disseminated
      targets

      * Doubling of Anglo Platinum alluvial Platinum Joint Venture

      * Successful fund raising for new targets through #405,000 share
      placing in May 2001

Highlights from Chairman`s and Deputy Chairman`s Statements:

Significant new strategic directions have been adopted by the Company since
our last Annual Report was published. Key amongst these are: concentration
of the Company`s resources on large shallow Platinum Group Metals ("PGM`s")
targets; introduction at Board level of experienced technical and mining
business expertise; focus on the acquisition of large scale targets of high
value which should attract the attention of major mining groups; and last,
seeking opportunities in the Bushveldt complex in South Africa, site of the
      world`s largest repository of PGMs.

A key component for the delivery of the above strategy has been the
recruitment to your Board of Dr. Michael Martineau, initially as a Director
and, since February, as Executive Deputy Chairman. Michael Martineau brings
with him an established record of leading successful exploration teams and
companies and in the development of mines - most recently with SAMAX Gold Inc,
which he founded in 1989 and which was sold to Ashanti Goldfields Company for
US$140 million following the discovery and development of gold mines in
      Tanzania.

In addition, in May 2001 Mr William (Bill) Anderson, who has been responsible
for the development of the Company`s Platinum-Palladium projects in Russia
since 1997, was promoted to the Board as Operations Director.

Our decision to concentrate on PGM exploration has been fully justified by the
continued strength of both price and demand. Sustained demand, particularly
for Platinum, is predicted to underpin the planned mine expansions and new
      developments.

We are encouraged by the presence in the Urals of major players such as Anglo
Platinum and Placer Dome. While investment in Russia has its difficulties we
believe that the Company is well placed on account of its local partner
relationships and depth of knowledge of the Russian market to manage such risk
      factors effectively.

The Company`s prime near term objective will be to define a major alluvial
Platinum deposit within the current Anglo Platinum joint venture that could be
developed as a substantial low cost producer within a three year time frame.
Additional licence applications are being made and negotiations have been
initiated with local operators to achieve this.

In the slightly longer term the recent discovery of broad zones of Palladium
mineralisation by Eurasia is a technical breakthrough that has the potential
to be an entirely new Palladium mining province. Within this Eurasia already
holds a key position. New applications currently in progress are designed to
build on this. The major effort will be on defining the centres for this type
of mineralisation with a grade capable of supporting a substantial open pit
      mine.

In early 2001 following the appointment of consultants and site visits the
Company embarked on a programme of land acquisition on selected targets on
open ground in the Bushveldt complex of South Africa. The objective is to
acquire sole risk exploration projects with capacity for rapid advancement and
subsequent development probably in partnership with a major company.

In view of the Company`s concentration on Platinum Group Metals, we have
considered it prudent to make provision for our historic expenditure on gold
      projects in the accounts.

The Company is aware of the need to create wider recognition of the Company`s
projects and of the progress achieved to date. The appointment of WH Ireland
in September 2000 as broker and the subsequent arrangement of a #405,000 share
placing in May 2001 is part of the strategy to develop the liquidity and
market in the Company`s shares. The application and negotiation for ground is
necessarily a competitive area where secrecy is required. With the award of
the first of our applications in the Urals and the finalisation of the South
African agreements we look forward to the regular release of progress reports.

Eurasia Mining sees planned mine expansions supported by sustained demand

Story Filed: Thursday, June 28, 2001 4:31 AM EST

LONDON, Jun 28, 2001 (AFX-UK via COMTEX) -- Eurasia Mining PLC said its decision to concentrate on Platinum group metals (PGM) exploration has been fully justified by the continued strength of both price and demand, and added that sustained demand, particularly for Platinum, is predicted to underpin the planned mine expansions and new developments.

Eurasia Mining said its prime near-term objective will be to define a major alluvial Platinum deposit within the current joint venture with Anglo American Platinum Corp Ltd in the Urals, Russia, that could be developed as a substantial low cost producer within a three year time frame.

Additional licence applications are being made and negotiations have been initiated with local operators to achieve this.

In the slightly longer term the recent discovery of broad zones of Palladium mineralisation by Eurasia is a technical breakthrough that has the potential to be an entirely new Palladium mining province, the company said.

In view of the company`s concentration on PGM, we have considered it prudent to make provision for our historic expenditure on gold projects in the accounts, it said.

For the full-year to Dec 31, the company reported a widened pretax loss from continuing activities of 3.94 mln, compared with 582,670 stg a year earlier, while loss per share widened to 17.1 pence from 6.01.

Eurasia Mining Acquires a Second Leg To Its Operations With Acquisition of Project in Bushveld Complex.

It looks as if Eurasia Mining is now heading back into the land of the living under Michael Martineau who has taken over from Andrew Counsell as chief executive. He has had to take time to assess the situation after arriving to find that Bill Anderson, the exploration director, was virtually starved of cash. The coffers have since been replenished and Anderson - a man of great experience, with 25 years at WMC where he was CEO (Brazil) and General Manager for the Kalgoorlie gold operations, the Kambalda nickel operations and the Emperor gold mine jv in Fiji - and Martineau who founded Samax and subsequently sold it to Ashanti, make a formidable team.

As a first move Martineau has given Eurasia a second leg by securing an option over the mineral rights to approximately 3,900 hectares of prospective platinum bearing ground in the Bushveld Complex of South Africa. The property is just south of the Everest South property which was acquired by Aquarius Platinum from Implats. Aquarius is planning to develop a deposit containing about 25 million tonnes assaying about 5 gm/t platinum group metals. Eurasia`s target is for a similar deposit located within a large basin-like structure that has been identified, by Eurasia`s mapping, near the centre of the optioned ground.

Conventional wisdom has it that the mineralisation of the Complex reduces the further south you get, but Martineau`s original specialisation was on the basins of the Duluth Complex in Minnesota and he has other views. Anyway he is happy to confirm that it is good ground and the grades are good, The reason that the Kliprivier property, one of the last substantial pieces of platinum potential along the base of the Bushveld Complex, had not been taken by a major was that it has been subdivided into ownership by fifty farmers and it took time and patience to assemble the deal.

Eurasia intends to carry out initial drilling as soon as the necessary permits have been obtained to define shallow mineralisation that can be recovered by underground mining through a decline. Field mapping shows that the platinum-bearing UG2 reef outcrops or lies under shallow soil cover over a distance of at least 1.5 kilometres. The Merensky reef has also been found in a single outcrop and is elsewhere covered.

The two reefs have a potential strike length within the optioned area of 7 kilometres the majority of which is in an area of zero outcrop. A hand sample of the UG2 reef, which would be expected to be leached following weathering at the surface, assayed in excess of 2.5 gm/t Pt+Pd+Au. As a bonus gossan, which is often indicative of disseminated or massive sulphides that can also host platinum group metals has been found along the base of the Complex below the reefs.

News can also be expected shortly on drilling results at the Baronskoye palladium/gold project in the Urals and the acquisition of considerably more property in the area, including alluvial ground on which Amplats can carry out its work. Shareholders will be interested to learn that Placer Dome has taken two licences in the Urals as they may have felt at times that Eurasia was ploughing a lonely furrow there despite the Amplats involvement.

      Eurasia Mining PLC - Acquisition
      RNS; Jul 9, 2001

      PRESS RELEASE

EURASIA SECURES SOUTH AFRICAN PLATINUM GROUND

Eurasia Mining PLC is pleased to announce that it has secured an option over
the mineral rights to approximately 3,900 hectares of prospective platinum
bearing ground in the Bushveldt Complex of South Africa, the world`s largest
source of Platinum Group Metals. It is the company`s intention to carry out
the initial drill testing as soon as the necessary permits have been obtained
using part of the proceeds of the recent fund raising.

Field mapping by Eurasia shows that platinum-bearing reef (known as the UG2)
outcrops or lies under shallow soil cover over a distance of at least 1.5
kilometres. A second reef (known as the Merensky) has been found in a single
outcrop and is elsewhere covered. The two reefs have a potential strike length
within the optioned area of 7 kilometres the majority of which is in an area
of zero outcrop. A hand sample of the "UG2 Reef", which would be expected to
be leached following weathering at the surface, assayed in excess of 2.5 gm/t
Pt+Pd+Au. "Gossan" which is often indicative of disseminated or massive
sulphides that can also host Platinum Group Metals has been found along the
base of the Complex below the reefs.

The optioned ground which constitutes the major part of the "Kliprivier Farm"
abuts and lies to the South of the licence hosting Aquarius Platinum Limited`s
Everest South project on which they have reported that they are planning the
development of a deposit containing about 25 million tonnes assaying about 5
gm/t Platinum Group Metals. Eurasia`s target is for a similar deposit located
within a large basin-like structure that has been identified, by Eurasia`s
mapping, near the centre of the optioned ground. This constitutes an immediate
drill target with the objective of defining shallow mineralisation that can be
recovered by underground mining through a "decline".

The Kliprivier option is one of the last substantial pieces of platinum
potential along the base of the Bushveldt Complex. It has long been recognised
on mineral maps as hosting the reefs. It has remained open largely because it
is extensively split between the heirs and assignees of the original estate.
Over the past six months by working with local parties and through
negotiations with more than 50 title-holders the ground has been consolidated
under the umbrella of a single company with whom Eurasia holds the option
      agreement.

Dr Martineau, Senior Executive and Deputy Chairman of Eurasia said "The
consolidation of this ground is a major achievement and an important step
forward in Eurasia`s aim of acquiring and defining substantial Platinum Group
Metals deposits. This option covers a large and strategically located block
that offers immediate drill targets capable of hosting an extensive and
shallow Platinum deposit. It well complements our Russian projects where we
are also making excellent progress in our land acquisitions and drilling".

Buy Iceland, Hold Regents Inn, Sell GW Pharma

By Heather Peacocke, FTMarketWatch.com 12:05:00 PM BST Jul 8, 2001

LONDON (FTMW) - "When will it be time to call the bottom on Vodafone," Heather Connon writes in this week`s Sunday Observer. Meanwhile, investors are advised to sell shares in telecoms equipment maker Marconi and ailing U.K. retailer Marks & Spencer.

      The Sunday Telegraph

Iceland [UK:ICE]. "Iceland`s previous obsession with organic food will be curtailed while a more integrated group will cut costs, boost sales and margins. Profits for 2002 are forecast flat at £40m, giving a forward price to earnings (p/e) multiple of 14.7, a deserved discount but one that should narrow. Buy."

Northern Foods [UK:NFDS]. "Northern Foods is bouncing back from the legacy of its demerger from Express Dairies in 1998. Since positive annual results at the end of May the shares have climbed from 137 pence to 161 pence. It is one of the biggest suppliers of food to Marks & Spencer where ranges such as Chinese take-away meals have proved particularly successful. Buy."

Aquarius Group [UK:AQG]. "Aquarius Group gave details last week of its proposed break-up, demerging its Collins & Hayes subsidiary and its bathroom division as new stand alone Aim-listed companies. Buy Aquarius now as a cheap way of getting hold of Collins & Hayes."

Eurasia Mining [UK:EUA]. "Next week Eurasia will announce that it has acquired the mineral rights to 3,900 ha of prospective platinum-bearing ground in the Bushveldt Complex in South Africa, the world`s largest source of platinum group metals. Buy."

Stanley Leisure [UK:SLY]. "Results on Thursday are expected to show a fall in pre-tax profits for the year to about £25m from £31m, reflecting a difficult first half, although trading in the second half may produce some positive surprises. The next big news is the outcome of Sir Alan Budd`s Gaming Review, due for publication later this month. Sell."

Oxus Mining [UK: OXS]. "Oxus Mining, the gold mining company which listed on Aim last week at 30p, has had a depressing start to life on the stock exchange. Its shares immediately started to slide and closed on Friday at 23.5 pence. Management has lots of local experience and is well organised. Risky but potentially rewarding. Buy."

International Greetings [UK:IGR]. "International Greetings (331p), the paper and packaging company, is the darling of Aim and its shares have risen by 580 per cent since it floated in 1995. IG added Harry Potter to its character portfolio in April this year, ready for the release of the film. IG has consistently beaten analysts` expectations and is a reliable performer well worth tucking away. Following a 12 month high of 380 pence in November last year the shares still represent good value."

Budgens [UK:BGE]. "Shares in Budgens (102.25 pence), the convenience store group, have had an excellent run since the start of the year, spurred in part by speculation about a takeover bid from Musgrave, the Irish food giant, which bought a 28 per cent stake in the business last year. Readers may want to take profits. Sell."

Eurasia Mining says drilling highlights potential of Kluevsky mine in Russia

Story Filed: Thursday, November 22, 2001 3:07 AM EST

LONDON, Nov 22, 2001 (AFX-UK via COMTEX) -- Eurasia Mining PLC`s operations director Bill Anderson said the company`s latest drilling programme at the Kluevsky mine in the Russian Urals highlights the area`s potential.

"It is certainly the best intersection we have obtained to date in Russia and we look forward to further results from our ongoing work programme," he said.

He said: "Drill hole K9 has intersected 10.56 meters assaying 3.56 grams per tonne platinum group metals plus gold. This is over three times the grade of the discovery drill holes K3 and K4 and well within the grade and thickness objective targeted by Eurasia for open pit mining."

(AFX-Focus) 2002-02-28 16:09 GMT: Eurasia Mining gets exploration permit for Bushveld Platinum Project
LONDON (AFX) - Eurasia Mining PLC said it has received the Exploration Permit that is an essential prerequisite to initiating physical exploration including drilling on its 3,900 hectare Kliprivier project in the Bushveld Complex of South Africa.
Eurasia`s executive deputy chairman Dr Michael Martineau said Kliprivier is one of the last major platinum plays within the Bushveld and has remained open largely because it was split between a large number of land owners with whom the group has negotiated five year options to purchase the mineral rights.

"With this permit finally in place we can now look forward to starting the sustained and methodical drill programme which will be required to adequately test the targets within this large prospective area," he said.

Eurasia said that following its announcement of the acquisition of the Kliprivier ground last year it has received a number of unsolicited approaches from companies wishing to earn an interest in the project by funding the exploration. These approaches are currently being evaluated, it said.
