Schaut euch mal The Globe an!

Long-Term Sentiment: Buy
I`m a former tglo employee. Sure, this company has made a ton of mistakes...but one thing you
can`t deny is that this company is scrappy as hell, and won`t give up.
Take into account that each of the following were born after theglobe.com, and are no longer
around:
kozmo, urbanfetch, talkcity, etoys, deja, zeroplus, collegeclubs, pseudo, the XFL, space.com,
lipstream, firetalk, wine.com, pets.com, freeride, 1stup, worldspy, quokkasports, rivals, NBCi,
Pathfinder, ThirdVoice, eCircles, Communities.com...the list goes on.
Many of these companies were direct competitors of theglobe.com, with similar business models,
and similar cash reserves (remember - TGLO didn`t get rich off its IPO...it only got $9 a
share...the employees [not me ] got rich when it jacked up to $97).
Yet, TGLO is still around. You may say "barely" around...but they were supposed to be out of
business a year ago (remember that Barron`s article on Burn Rate? TGLO was supposed to be
dead last summer).
Somehow, TGLO`s hung on. And people still use the products. Ad sales are down, but
someone`s doing a good job over there of controlling costs and weathering the bad times of a
weak advertising market.
I`m rooting for TGLO. Any shareholders that lost money on this stock, if you didn`t lose it here,
you would have lost it on any of the dozens of other high flyers out there that came crashing
down. You gambled, you lost. A lot of us did. But TGLO is a company with some good people
in it, and some halfway decent products. I think they`re going to surprise some people...they`ll be
bought before they come close to bankruptcy.
