auf den Wert allein würde ich nichts geben.
Vor drei Jahren stand die Aktie bei 12 Euro.
Vor einem Jahr stand sie bei 1,20 Euro.

Aber was solls, da kennt jeder sicherlich 1000 Werte, denen es ähnlich erging. Die WKN ist übrigens 928328

announces that it has launched QXL Live, its unique, real-time live auction technology, as a new tool for its sellers. QXL Live
provides sellers with the opportunity to be a virtual auctioneer, hosting their own auctions for the first time.

QXL pioneered the Live auction concept with the first auction going live in September 2000 on www.QXLLive.com . The service
has proved popular with bidders as they enjoy the immediacy of the bidding and the instant result. Live auctions to date have been
hosted by QXL`s Live auctioneer, on behalf of QXL sellers, generating sales from all categories.

QXL modified the technology, working closely with sellers, to enable them to host auctions. Successful test auctions were

Auktionator QXL Ricardo reduziert Verluste

LONDON (FTMW.DE) - Das britische Online-Auktionshaus QXL Ricardo [UK:QXL] hat
seine Verluste im ersten Quartal dank greifender Kostensenkungsmaßnahmen
und der Einführung von Gebühren senken können.

Einer Mitteilung des Unternehmens zufolge reduzierte sich der operative Verlust zwischen
April und Juni auf 8,5 Millionen Pfund von 13,7 Millionen Pfund im Vergleichszeitraum des
Vorjahres.

Die letzten Monate bei QXL Ricardo waren vor allem geprägt von
der Übernahme kleinerer Rivalen, dem Abschluss neuer
Partnerschaften und Marketing-Vereinbarungen mit Firmen wie
Microsoft, Heinken und Ebookers.

Die Londoner setzten damit ihre Offensive im Kampf um den
europäischen Markt gegen den weltgrößten Online-Auktionator
Ebay [US:EBAY] aus den USA fort.

„Es gibt nur uns und Ebay", so Ricardo-Chef Jim Rose in einer
Telefonkonferenz am Vormittag. „Der Online-Auktions-Markt ist ein absoluter
Wachstumsmarkt und wir werden uns unseren Anteil daran in Europa sichern."

Gebühren

Der Wert der bei QXL Ricardo [US:QXLC] gehandelten Waren hat sich unterdessen im ersten
Quartal auf 26,4 Millionen Pfund nahezu verdoppelt. Laut Rose soll es in diesem Tempo auch
im Gesamtjahr weitergehen.

Ein wichtiger Faktor für die Verbesserung der
Rohertragsmarge des Unternehmens im ersten Quartal auf
69 Prozent stellte die Halbierung der Marketingausgaben
dar. Darüber hinaus führte das Auktionshaus in
Deutschland, Großbritannien, Schweden, der Schweiz,
Polen und Dänemark Gebühren für seine Dienste ein.
Weitere Länder sollen im laufenden Quartal folgen.

Der Umsatz verringerte sich aufgrund der Umstellung vom
Eigenhandel auf das Provisionsgeschäft im gleichen Zeitraum um 17 Prozent auf 1,6 Millionen
Pfund.

Ziele

„Wir werden uns auch weiterhin darauf konzentrieren unseren Gewinn zu verbessern und
die Ausgaben weiter zu reduzieren", so Rose. „Darüber hinaus gehen wir davon aus, dass
sich das operative Ergebnis und die „Cash-Burn-Rate" auch im nächsten Jahr weiter
verringern werden."

Im ersten Quartal betrug der Cash-Burn bei QXL Ricardo zirka 8 Millionen Pfund. Dank einer
Barreserve von 41 Millionen Pfund sieht sich das Unternehmen allerdings gut gerüstet, die
Durststrecke bis zum für 2003 geplanten Break-Even unbeschadet durchstehen zu können.

Einige Investoren zeigten sich davon allerdings nicht überzeugt. Die Aktie verlor am Freitag in
London über 4 Prozent auf 5,50 Pfund.
