Tatra Bank also launched www.eliot.sk, a branded e-banking site targeted to younger clients.Today, both sites offer a full range of e-banking services, including Internet banking (full transaction services), Short Message Service (SMS) banking, and e-mail banking, as well as telebanking.

Tatra Bank has always put an emphasis on technology to become more efficient and gain a greater competitive advantage. The first version of e-banking service—passive e-mail banking, was introduced in 1997.The first active service—Internet banking based on Java client—was launched in 1998. However, Tatra Bank realized soon that a proprietary, transaction-oriented, Java-based solution was not flexible and powerful enough to serve as an open platform for cross-selling, up-selling, and one-to-one marketing in a multi-channel environment. In addition, the bank wanted to reduce its service costs in order to offer highly competitive rates on financial products such as loans and mortgages.



The current www.tatrabank.sk web site was launched after an implementation period of four months, and www.eliot.sk was launched after an implementation time of only one month. The two sites today offer a full range of e-banking services, and some 50 percent of the bank`s daily financial transactions are done via its e-banking applications. The BroadVision platform enables the bank to dynamically build a customized home page for each customer based on a customer profile, product parameters, and matching criteria. Customers are able to place payment orders, check account balances, receive individually tailored proposals on financial products, and order online such products as electronic services, payment cards, and foreign exchange transactions. Tatra Bank also offers access to 55 shops on its sites, taking advantage of cross-selling and up-selling possibilities by bundling the bank`s services with those of other vendors.

An der Nasdaq geführte, so genannte Pennystocks erhalten nach den Terroranschlägen vom 11. September eine Gnadenfrist. Um der derzeitigen Unsicherheit an den Finanzmärkten entgegenzuwirken, hat das Nasdaq Board of Directors in der gestrigen Nacht beschlossen, die geltenden Regeln zunächst auszusetzen.

Normalerweise werden Unternehmen, deren Aktienkurs an 30 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen ein bestimmtes Niveau unterschreitet und deren Marktkapitalisierung im gleichen Zeitraum ebenfalls unter einem bestimmten Level liegt, nach weiteren 90 Tagen aus dem Index entfernt. Diese Regelungen sind nun bis zum 2. Januar 2002 außer Kraft gesetzt

Ich würde lieber eindecken, denn am 3.7. kam diese Meldung:

..gab BroadVision bekannt, daß es nach vorläufigen Schätzungen für das am 30. Juni 2001 abgeschlossene Quartal einen Umsatz von 52-58 Mio. US-$ und einen Proforma-Basisverlust je Aktie - ohne Berücksichtigung des nicht liquiditätswirksamen Aufwands und der noch anstehenden Überprüfung von Einmalposten- in der Größenordnung von 0,17 - 0,20 US-$ erwartet und der CFO Randall Bolten seinen Rücktritt angeboten hat. Seine Aufgaben wurden im August von Terry Davis, dem cashorientierten Corporate Treasurer der Gesellschaft übernommen. Investitionen in den IT-Bereich wurden von wichtigen Kunden zunächst aufgeschoben, um das Umfeld und die neue Suite 6.0 zunächst abzuwarten. Die Bilanz ist mit 200 Millionen US-$ Liquidität weiterhin stark. Die Belegschaft wurde zum 30. Juni um 32% auf 1500 Mitarbeiter reduziert. Weitere Anpassungen stünden für den Fall an, daß sich das Geschäft nicht wieder belebt.


Heute kam nichts, die nächste Gewinnwarung bleibt aus, die Umsätze laufen besser, die Kosten für 1/3 der Belegschaft sich weg... das kann sehr hart für Shorties werden.
