      BroadVision`s Solution Value Proposition Program Helps Companies Maximize Return on E-Business Investments
      More than 30 Organizations Participate in New Program as Partners and Industry Analysts Endorse SVP Initiative
      REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2001-- BroadVision, Inc. (Nasdaq:BVSN - news), the leading provider of enterprise self-service applications, today announced that more than 30 organizations -- including Children`s Hospital of Philadelphia, Primax, RS Components and Sprint -- have taken advantage of BroadVision®`s Solution Value Proposition (SVP) program in the first 90 days of its availability. This new program, introduced in June 2001, is designed to help organizations quantify the potential return on their strategic e-business initiatives and to help determine the most efficient, effective ways to rapidly realize business value. BroadVision also announced that Roundarch and Deloitte Consulting are the first BroadVision partners to adopt SVP as a component of their e-business strategies.

      ``BroadVision`s Solution Value Proposition program is much more than a simple return on investment calculator. The quantitative metrics and recommendations provided by these services are exactly what is needed by companies seeking to build and maintain a viable e-business,`` said industry analyst Joshua Greenbaum, principal of Enterprise Application Consulting based in Daly City, Calif. ``Any organization seeking a better return on their e-business investments needs this kind of process in order to ensure they get the best possible results.``

      Executives at Children`s Hospital of Philadelphia found that the SVP program helped them to better understand the state of their current online initiatives, reach consensus about their top e-business priorities, and understand the transformational strategies that will maximize return on investment.

      ``BroadVision`s Solution Value Proposition helped us form a complete picture of the e-business opportunities and challenges faced by our company. Sometimes these challenges feel overwhelming, but the SVP program has helped us to develop a strategic plan for addressing them,`` said Evan Crawford, executive director, Center for e-Transformation/e-Medicine at Children`s Hospital of Philadelphia. ``For example, we found it useful for many people within the organization to take the SVP evaluation to get different views of our online projects. Now we can bring our viewpoints together and come to see the project in the same way. The SVP program was a useful way to validate what we`re doing and I think it would have been a great way to start our project as well.``

      The SVP methodology takes advantage of in-depth research conducted by BroadVision and e-business consulting firm Surgency, Inc. (formerly Benchmarking Partners) on over 40 BroadVision customers who have used self-service technologies to transform their businesses, as well as research conducted by McKinsey & Company on behalf of BroadVision. This research -- and the process behind it -- is designed to help BroadVision customers understand how to quantify the benefits of e-business solutions as they relate to Customer, Partner and Employee Relationship Management, knowledge management, and the effective use of enterprise portals for managing transactions and personalized information.

      The Solution Value Proposition program is composed of the following steps:

      Self-Service Opportunity Assessment (SSOA): This initial phase incorporates an online tool for executives, which helps them to better understand their readiness to take advantage of enterprise self-service technologies. By completing the SSOA, executives and other members of an e-business team can benchmark their e-business maturity versus ``best in class`` organizations and better understand how to maximize the benefits of their e-business initiatives.
      Executive Briefing Workshop: The second step in the SVP program, the Executive Briefing Workshop, helps executive teams to better understand the results of the SSOA and determine which key business processes can be transformed to a self-service model. A key aspect of these workshops is to help identify an organization`s opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs or enhance productivity.
      Business Case Analysis (BCA): For many organizations, completing the first two steps -- the SSOA and the Executive Briefing Workshop -- will sufficiently define which e-business initiatives are immediately appropriate and help build the executive support required to justify investing in that initiative. The third step in the SVP program, the Business Case Analysis, takes this process further by helping customers secure executive commitment by creating a fact-based business case with a clear, specific value proposition. The BCA helps e-business teams to develop a more in-depth rationale and help them communicate the business value of investing in a BroadVision solution throughout the organization.
      ``Launched just three months ago, our SVP program has been very well received by technology decision makers in a wide variety of industries,`` said Drew Bartkiewicz, vice president of Industry Solutions for BroadVision. ``By providing the right fact-based tools, expertise and experience, we are creating a program that can help our customers positively impact their organization`s bottom line.``

      Wenn Du willst, kannst Du auf altavista.de gehen. Dort gibt`s ein Übersetzerprogramm. Das ist zwar ziemlich schlecht, aber die Basisaussage kann man nach etwas Anstrengung verstehen.

      Wenn Du Dich aber etwas anstrengen würdest, könntest Du auch ein Lexikon zur Hand nehmen....

      @Wallgrekk,

      Du "Schlaumeier", wozu brauche ich großartige englisch Kenntnisse ??

      Wir sind hier am deutschen Markt,da reichen meine paar Brocken englisch vollkommen aus.
      Und gerade weil wir hier am deutschen Markt sind,wäre es wohl nicht zuviel verlangt,für alle verständlich zu schreiben,als mit etwas dümmlichen Oberlehrer-Tour zu kommen !
