Coronado Industries` Italian Study Progresses
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2001--Coronado Industries, Inc. (OTC BB: CDIK - news), a manufacturer of proprietary pneumatic devices for the effective treatment of glaucoma, today announced that its Medical Director, Leo D. Bores, M.D., is currently in Rome to help with the next phase of the Novartis (NYSE: NVS - news) due diligence study of the Company`s PNT(TM) device for the treatment of glaucoma. He is presently treating patients in multiple clinics and training doctors in the procedures and use of the equipment.``

This study is part of an option agreement between Coronado Industries and Novartis for global distribution rights to Coronado`s PNT device.

Coronado Industries, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries American Glaucoma and Ophthalmic International, focuses on the development and testing of a patented procedure, Pneumatic Trabeculoplasty (PNT(TM)), a non-invasive, highly-effective, and low-cost alternative to traditional treatments.

Currently, the Company is allowed to market its pneumatic suction device and treatment throughout the European marketplace under a CE Mark (allowing manufacturers to freely sell their products) from the European Commission. Pending FDA approval, the Company will license its patented treatment procedure and equipment in the United States.
