An alle Caly-Investierten. Es gibt mal wieder gute News! Soweit ich die Message eben überflogen habe, hat Caly`s Distributor Meditech Int. einen Kontrakt mit der CAADPE abgeschlossen, der auch die Lieferung des HIV-1-Antikörper-Urintests beinhaltet. Die Verkaufswelle rollt also an und offensichtlich war es ein ausgezeichneter Schachzug den Verkauf den erfahrenen Leuten von Meditech Int. zu überlassen.

Calypte`s HIV-1 Antibody Urine Test Included On CAADPE Purchasing Contract
Calypte`s Distributor, MEDITECH INTERNATIONAL, Awarded Purchasing Contract With CAADPE
ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Oct. 31, 2001--Calypte Biomedical Corp. (OTCBB:CALY - news) announced today that its distributor, MEDITECH INTERNATIONAL, has recently been awarded a group purchasing agreement by the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Program Executives, Inc. (CAADPE) that provides for the inclusion of Calypte`s urine HIV-1 antibody testing products with MEDITECH INTERNATIONAL`s drug and alcohol testing products. Calypte`s urine test will be the only HIV test currently offered by MEDITECH INTERNATIONAL.

CAADPE is an organization comprised of more than 70 member organizations that provide a variety of health services throughout California. While many of these member organizations are focused on drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, many also provide services related to testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Testing for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is a priority for those CAADPE member organizations that provide public health services for people at high risk for STDs. Many of these members have funding available under Federal and State grants.

``The combination of attractively priced testing for drugs of abuse in urine and Calypte`s urine HIV-1 antibody test provides tremendous added value for the many CAADPE member organizations that can consolidate drug testing and STD testing on one urine sample that can be obtained easily and non-invasively,`` said Jim Saunders, president of MEDITECH INTERNATIONAL. Saunders added, ``We are currently contacting each of the CAADPE member organizations to help each define the specific benefits that they will experience by taking advantage of this contract with CAADPE.``
