Fairfield, CT - (February 24, 2009) - Competitive Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Alternext US: CTT) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Life Epistéme srl granting them exclusive distribution rights in each of 29 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and Oceania for CTT's pain management medical device. The device is a non-invasive method for rapid treatment of high-intensity oncologic and neuropathic pain, including pain resistant to morphine and other drugs.
"We have seen this innovative device successfully used in Italy, and are proud to be able to bring it to other patients around the world," said Dr. Domenico Pecorini, one of the founders of Life Epistéme. "The population in the countries included in our contract totals over 1.7 billion people, about 25% of the world's population. Our network of distributors in strategic centers around the world will facilitate the delivery process for the device."
"Life Epistéme provides CTT with a strong and effective global partner," said John B. Nano, CTT's Chairman, President and CEO. "This represents a remarkable opportunity for our innovative pain management medical device. Our exclusive signed distribution agreements for this device now cover over 45% of the world's population and the contractual minimums have a retail sales value of over $25 million for 2009 and about $50 million for 2010. CTT will share in revenue derived from sales of the device to our distributors and both CTT and our distributors expect sales to exceed the contract minimums."

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Feb. 26, 2009

The interview is focused on the FDA 510(k) letter of authorization allowing U.S. sales of CTT's pain therapy medical device. The device is a non-invasive method for rapid treatment of high-intensity oncologic and neuropathic pain, including pain resistant to morphine and other drugs. In the interview, Mr. Nano points out that CTT expects the new medical device to produce revenue and profits larger than any other technology in CTT's 40 year history. Further, when CTT had strong sales and earnings, the CTT stock traded at over $15 per share producing a market capitalization over $120 million, over 10 times the current $12 million.

The CTT device also has Medical Device CE certification from the European Union allowing sales of the device throughout Europe and several other countries. CTT has exclusive worldwide rights to this patented device. CTT has recently signed an agreement with Life Episteme srl granting them exclusive distribution rights in 29 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and Oceania. Earlier country-exclusive distribution rights have been granted to Excel Life Sciences, Inc. for India, to GEOMC Co., Ltd. for Korea, to AG Healthcare for Malaysia, and to Biogene Pharma Limited for Bangladesh. The review and selection process for additional distributors in other countries is continuing.

Dear Mr. xxxx,

We are reviewing our options for distribution in the U.S. and will issue a press release announcing any material information regarding this important device.

We have signed distribution agreements for 35 countries overseas covering over 48% of the world's population. These contracts for the device have contractual minimuns for retail sales value of over $25 million for 2009 and about $50 million for 2010. CTT will share in revenue derived from sales of the device to distributors. The distributors expect actual sales to exceed the contract minimums.

Additional information about the company and this device can be found on CTT's website at www.competitivetech.net, and at www.CalmareTT.com for additional data on the device.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.

May 12, 2009
CTT Establishes U.S. Leasing Unit for Medical Device Sales
Fairfield, CT - (May 12, 2009) - Competitive Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Amex: CTT) announced today that its bone nanoparticle biomaterial technology has been issued a third patent supporting the first two patents and providing additional claims regarding the preparation of the primary components of the bone cement. CTT has an exclusive agreement with the University of South Carolina Research Foundation (USCRF) to license and commercialize the injectable, flowable, fast-curing, calcium phosphate-based nanotechnology biomaterial developed by Dr. Brian R. Genge, a research professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at USC.

CTT's licensee for human spinal applications of the bone biomaterial, Soteira Inc., completed a third fund raise providing Soteira a total of approximately $24 million and access to an additional $6 million. Soteira is using the funds on their program to gain U.S. FDA and European CE Mark clearance for sales of the bone biomaterial. CTT has the opportunity to offer licenses to the bone biomaterial for other skeletal applications, as well as dental and veterinary repairs.

CTT also announced the development of a financing unit, Competitive Technologies Financial Services (CFS), which offers customers opportunities for leasing of CTT's pain therapy medical device in the U.S. market.

"This blockbuster medical device treats pain without the harmful side effects of most drugs, including morphine," said John B. Nano, CTT's Chairman, President and CEO. "This technology brings CTT to the forefront in providing a solution to the needs of patients and the improvement of palliative healthcare in the U.S. and internationally. It is a prime example of our strategy to connect clinical science to patient care. We believe that revenue and profits from the pain therapy technology will significantly increase CTT's market capitalization.

"The establishment of CFS allows our U.S. hospitals, clinics and medical practices to purchase the device directly, or to lease it over periods of time ranging from 24 - 60 months. In this difficult economic climate, CFS, created through an agreement with Americorp Financial, LLC (AFS), allows greater flexibility for these customers in managing their organization's cash flow. Upon execution of each lease, CTT will receive the full sales price of the device, while AFS carries the lease."

In early June, Mr. Nano, as the guest of the Italian government, will be co-moderating a roundtable discussion in Rome, Italy with Prof. Giuseppe Marineo, the developer of the pain therapy technology. Participants in the roundtable will include scientific and medical professionals from Europe, the U.S., Singapore, the UAE and Australia.

The breakthrough medical device is a non-invasive method for rapid treatment of high-intensity oncologic and neuropathic pain, including pain resistant to morphine and other drugs. The device has U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for U.S. sales, as well as Medical Device CE certification from the E.U. allowing sales throughout Europe and several other countries. CTT has exclusive worldwide rights to this device.

Mr. Nano added, "In many cases, the non-invasive use of our innovative device allows the patient to avoid or reduce the use of drugs. In turn, this reduces the multiple adverse side effects of the drug use, including addiction, depression, drowsiness and collateral damage to other organs. Several studies report that nearly 10% of adults in the U.S. suffer from moderate-to-severe pain, with over 50% experiencing chronic or recurrent pain. The U.S. market for prescription pain drugs, the prevailing treatment for pain management, is nearly $5.0 billion, with nearly half for treatment of cancer pain, and about 40% for orthopedic pain, including lower back pain. Our device also treats neuropathic pain, the result of nerve damage, which is difficult to treat with traditional pain medications."

Developed in Italy by CTT's client, Prof. Marineo, the pain therapy technology was brought to CTT through the efforts of the Zangani Investor Community™. The unit, with a biophysical rather than a biochemical approach, uses a multi-processor able to simultaneously treat multiple pain areas by applying surface electrodes to the skin. CTT's partner, GEOMC Co. Ltd. of Korea is manufacturing the device commercially for worldwide distribution. For more information on the device, visit www.CalmareTT.com.

The device has been used on over 3,000 patients in Europe, including at the Pain Management Center at Tor-Vergata University Medical Center in Rome (http://www.ptvonline.it/uo_ter_ant_ing.asp).

Aus SeekingAlpha:

This next company, Competitive Technologies (CTT), is much closer to fruition. From the prospectus:

The Company is a full service technology transfer and licensing provider. It provides technology transfer, selling and licensing services focused on the technology needs of its customers, matching those requirements with commercially viable technology solutions, bridging the gap between market demand and raw innovation.

CTT recently obtained sales and marketing rights from Native Energy, innovator of a non-invasive device for rapid treatment of high-intensity oncologic and neuropathic pain, including pain resistant to morphine and other drugs. With US government agencies alone, CTT has guaranteed contracts of $25M for 2009 and $50M for 2010, both of which are expected to be exceeded. CTT has worldwide distribution rights and is mass-producing the device with Korean partner GEOMC. The device has FDA 510(k) status, CE certification from the Europian Union and has been used on over 3,000 patients in Europe.

Insider buying has been rampant of late and the stock is climbing sharply. CTT has seen almost no revenue since 2006, shrinking its market cap to under $20M. That should grow significantly once sales of this device are reported.

Finally, I suspect that the new administration will be a good change for small defense companies on the cutting edge. Friendships and loyalty with the likes of Halliburton (HAL) have been reduced and the defense budget will do its part in "spreading the wealth."

Competitive Technologies: FDA-Approved Medical Device Hitting the Revenue Line
by: David Greene November 09, 2009 | about: CTT
David Greene

Competitive Technologies (CTT) is begining to see revenues generated as a result of the FDA approval of its very promising chronic pain mangement medical device. The company has already announced orders for 70 units and will recognize revenue for 17 units shipped in the past quarter (ending Oct. 31).

Five insiders, including the CEO, took advantage of the permitted window for insider purchaes last week and added to their holdings, despite the stock's 80% appreciation YTD.

CTT is also on the screens of mutual funds and money managers, with 6% of the shares outstanding held by institutions--enough to know that a few investment professionals are aware of CTT, but are clearly not fully invested should CTT exhibit progress in their business plan of expanding the market for their newly approved device. In other words, there is alot more room for adding to their positions with their holdings representing a very modest 6% now, than if the institutions were holding 60% of the shares O/S.

CTT's medical technology involves a non-invasive method for the rapid treatment of intense oncologic and neuropathic pain, including pain resistant to morphine and other traditional pain management drugs. CTT's device is currently in clinical trials for chemotherapy-induced pain and expects to be able to announce the results of the patient trials in the near future.

Investors should monitor CTT for future news on sales, increases in institutional ownership and trading volume increases. With only 10.24 Million shares outstanding, any increased exposure to the investment world could result in a dramatic increase in the stock's price as new investors take a position.

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 38.396.953 von married am 16.11.09 18:25:11Competitive Technologies (CTT) is begining to see revenues generated as a result of the FDA approval of its very promising chronic pain mangement medical device.
