Guten Tag !

Novell-Netzwerk-Software ist m. M. nach die beste Netzwerk-Software der Welt und ich kann mir gut vorstellen, daß die Novell-Aktie noch einen schönen Weg nach oben vor sich hat.

Zu meinen bisherigen Novell-Trades:
Am 29.11.1999 kaufte ich meine ersten 100 Novell Aktien für 21,13$. Am 7.1.2000 dann der Verkauf dieser Stücke für 34,00$. Danach hatte ich die Aktie für längere Zeit nur noch auf meiner Watchlist und war sehr unsicher.
Am 3.7.2000 hab ich mir nochmal 500 Stk zu 9,25$ ins Depot gelegt und bin diese dann (zum Glück) am 5.9.2000 für 12,00$ wieder losgeworden.

Da die Novell-Aktie mir seit letztes Jahr irgendwie wie ein "häßliches Entchen" vorkommt und ich weiß, daß sich nicht immer die besten Produkte am Markt durchsetzen, nahm ich mir damals vor, nur noch kleinere Beträge in diese Aktie zu investieren und durch Trading schrittweise die Stückzahlen zu erhöhen. Sozusagen: Handeln der Novell-Aktie als langfristiges Hobby .

Ich werde meine Käufe und Verkäufe hier jetzt regelmäßig und zeitnah reinstellen. Vielleicht interessiert es ja irgendeinen?

1: Verkauf: 26.01.2001 -----> 100 Stk. für 8,03$

unter diesem link empfiehlt CNNFN einige techstocks nach dem indikator insiderkäufe, hauptsächlich, einige andere werden auch noch betrachtet, seht selbst.

Novl und Nortel z.B. sind auch dabei.

Die Zahlen kommen am 15.02.2001.
Selbst bei diesem äußerst schwierigen Börsenumfeld hält sich NOVL stabil im 8 Dollar- Bereich.

Novell Completes Acquisition of Cambridge Technology Partners


Jack Messman Becomes President and CEO

PROVO, Utah, Jul 10, 2001 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Novell, Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced it has completed the acquisition of Cambridge Technology Partners (Massachusetts), Inc., adding a powerful new services and consulting capability to complement Novell`s industry leading Net services software. Jack Messman, president and chief executive officer at Cambridge Technology Partners has been named president and CEO of Novell. Eric Schmidt, formerly CEO, will continue to offer strategic counsel as chairman of the Novell board of directors.
At a special meeting of Cambridge shareholders, held today in Cambridge, Massachusetts, approximately 60 percent of Cambridge`s outstanding shares were voted in favor of the Novell merger.

"Cambridge quickly takes Novell to full support of e-business solutions," Messman said. Mein Englisch ist zwar auch nicht 100 %, da ich mich jedoch seit längerer Zeit mit Novell beschäftige, kann ich vieleicht etwas weiterhelfen. Gestern wurde die Übernahme von Cambridge Technology abgeschlossen und CEO Schmid durch Messmann ersetzt. Wenngleich die Übernahme von Analysten skeptisch aufgenommen wurde, hoffe ich mir trotzdem neue Impulse von Messmann, da Schmid in den letzten Jahren Probleme hatte, seine Visionen auf dem Markt durchzusetzen. Kurzfristig könnten Abgaben von Altaktionären von CATP eventuell einen Kursanstieg bremsen, doch spätestens im 3. Quartal ( neue Version der Novell-Software ) bzw. in 2-3 Quartalen ( Synergieeffekte der Fusion ) könnte es dann tatasächlich aufwärtsgehen.

Durch hohe Cashreserven ist der Kurs nach unten abgesichert; und über eine Übernahme von Novell ( IBM oder ... ) wird in Ami-Boards ( siehe Raging-Bull ) immer wieder spekuliert.

Mal sehen, was die Zukunft bringt !?

PS: meine 40.000 OS 766960 werden mit Sicherheit übernächste Woche wertlos verfallen, trotzdem sage ich auf dem jetzigen Kursniveau: halten/zukaufen. ( Die Aktie natürlich und nicht den Schein ).

Hallo,

gibt`s hier eigentlich überhaupt keine Investierten mehr?? Den Umsätzen nach zu schließen wahrscheinlich nicht. Was solls, hab mir mal wieder paar OS reingelegt, vieleicht bringen die Zahlen am 29.11. ja etwas Neues - wichtig wäre ein guter Ausblick.

Daß die Software von Novell Klasse ist zeigen ja auch die Preise bei der letzten COMDEX; nun muß diese nur noch richtig vermarktet werden und es kann aufwärts gehen.

Wer wie ich an eine mittelfristige positive Entwicklung von NOVL glaubt, sollte sich mal den OS 657547 ansehen. Bei einer Trendwende winken hier richtig schöne Gewinne - Totalverlust ist aber auch nicht ausgeschlossen.

Novell hat in Deutschland keinen Grund zum Jammern

Das US-amerikanische Softwareunternehmen Novell will in Deutschland verhältnismäßig weniger Arbeitsplätze abbauen als in anderen Ländern. "In Deutschland sind rund fünf Prozent der Belegschaft betroffen", sagte Horst Nebgen, Geschäftsführer der deutschen Novell GmbH, am Mittwoch der dpa. Außerdem sollen Büros zusammengelegt werden, um Kosten zu sparen. Der Anbieter von Netzwerk- und Internetsoftware beschäftigt derzeit in Deutschland rund 400 Frauen und Männer.

Die US-Mutter hatte vergangene Woche angekündigt, weltweit 1400 oder 19 Prozent der insgesamt 7400 Angestellten zu entlassen. Das Deutschland-Geschäft laufe besser als die Aktivitäten in anderen Ländern. "Für uns gibt es im Moment keinen Grund zum Jammern", sagte Nebgen.

Die deutsche Tochter stehe vor einem wichtigen Abschluss. Nebgen schätzt ihn als den größten Auftrag der Unternehmensgeschichte in Europa ein.

Für das Jahr 2002 rechnet er insgesamt mit einem Ende des Investitionsstaus. "Viele Unternehmen halten vor der Einführung des Euro ihr Geld zurück." (anw/c`t)

Höre zum ersten Mal von diesem Auftrag. Da der Europaanteil am Umsatz ca. 25% des Konzernumsatzes ausmacht, könnte ein Großauftrag in Europa schon Einfluß auf den Kurs haben.

Wichtiger jedoch werden die Q-Zahlen am 29.11. bzw. der Ausblick für 2002 sein. Wenn das mit den Kosteneinsparungen von 200 Mill. jährlich wirklich stimmen sollte, wäre das natürlich ein enormer Schub, denn bei ca. 350 Mill. Aktien wäre das immerhin ca. 0,60/Share.

Nächsten Donnerstag sind wir da schlauer.

Mal ehrlich, die letzten 2 Wochen gab es keine langweiligere Aktie im Nasdaq100 als Novell. Das wird sich aber mit Sicherheit die nächsten Tage ändern, da ja am 29.11. nach Börsenschluß die Q-Zahlen kommen. Bin ja gespannt, was dabei rauskommt.

Naja, am Tiefstkurs will wohl jeder gekauft haben. Zumindest berichtet man gerne so. Soweit ich weiß, waren die 1,61 ein Briefkurs und der Makler fischte die Stücke ab.

Aber nix für ungut, habe selber Novell zu 3,50 und 1,70 im Depot. Heute bin ich wieder im Plus.

Fazit: auf Kennzahlen wie Umsatz und Cash achten, dann kann man so schnell nicht pleite gehen.

Novell nach guten Zahlen stark im Plus.
