IT PROJECTS

During the quarter agreement was reached with internet investor
information provider, Earnings.com Inc in New York for Menzies to
acquire a 25% interest in that company, subject to due diligence
investigation and completion of documentation acceptable to both
parties. This was announced to the ASX on 18.11.99. On 12.1.2000,
Menzies announced to ASX that the parties were unable to agree on a
number of clauses which would provide sufficient protection to
Menzies` interests and therefore both parties agreed to terminate
negotiations.

Menzies is at present evaluating and considering a number of new
proposals with a view to making investments in projects or companies
which offer special merit.
