Joining the campaign circuit on the heels of their apparently controversial insistence on peace without all of the bombing and killing thousands of innocent, helpless people in a foreign nation, current French president Jacques Chirac and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder today announced their mutual intention to seek the presidency/vice-presidency of the United States.

Critics maintain that their entry is both unwelcome and unconstitutional, but the two insist that they are needed and that details of candidacy eligibility mean little in the current US political environment where the Constitution`s very essence has been repeatedly trampled on in the name of security, religious self-righteousness, and/or for the sake of lining the pockets of an already-rich American upper crust.

"Yes, I too would like very much for Monsieur President to honor the most basic and sacred precepts of his forefathers, but then that would not help him with his little cover-up of l`economy d`tragedie, now would it?" insinuated Chirac. Chancellor Schroeder remarked further "We are not worried at all about our prospects in the matter of the constitutionality of our campaign in America since I have myself seen the scraps of the very rules we are accused of breaking lying on the President`s constitutional cutting-room floor along with four of the ten Bills of Rights...and he let Mr. Ashcroft clip out everything that referred to the separation of Kirche und Staat," said Schroeder."One can`t be too concerned about campaign rules when the incumbent himself has already broken the most fundamental rule of democracy, to count all the votes."

Jacques und Gerd: Dranbleiben!

Chirac, wohl der europäische Staatsmann nach Kohl. Schröder
kann man innenpolitisch bestimmt einiges vorwerfen, und auch zu Recht, aber die Haltung gegenüber Bush und Blair
fand ich großartig. Blair kommt ja auch schon wieder angekrochen.
