Es ist wirklich ein Skandal dass es hier keinen aktuellen Thread über Bea Systems gibt. In den alten threads wird ja auch mehr über Fred Hager gesprochen als über Bea Systems.
Babei ist diese Aktie eine der interessantesten Inets die ich kenne. Besonders da ende Januar die neuen Quartalsergebnisse kommen und diese wie immer die Erwartungen der Analysten schlagen werden (HOffe ich!)
steckt in dieser Aktie noch ein Riesenpotential.
Bea Systems ist Marktführer im Bereich Middleware und das ist ja bekanntlich einer der am schnellsten wachsenden Bereiche im Inet.

Wollt ihr mir nun erzählen keiner von euch kennt Bea Systems? Das kann doch wohl nicht sein!

Wenn ihr sie wider erwarten doch kennt. So schreibt mir mal
was ihr von Beas haltet und gebt mir mal euer Kursziel für die nächsten 12 Monate!

nein ich bin noch nicht sehr lange investiert. Kurz nach dem Split habe ich mir die Aktien gekauft - und dann sind sie, wie die meisten, erst mal gefallen :-(

Bea Systems schloss am Freitag wie oben schon erwähnt wurde ca. 6% im Plus. Beas steht somit bei 82 Euro dass sind nur 2 euro unter dem ATH das bei 84 Euro liegt. Normalerweiße dürfte bei Beas bald wieder ein größerer Kurssprung bevorstehen, der die Aktie dann wohl in die Gegend von 90 oder mehr befördern wird.

zu eurer information: ich habe vor drei wochen zu 65,- euro gekauft.
von meinem arbeitskollegen habe ich den tipp bekommen. sein schawager arbeitet bei bea systems und der sagte, dass es in kürze unternehmens-news geben wird, die den kurs positiv beeinflussen könnten.
meiner meinung nach ist diese aktie ein langfristiges investment.
dies soll kein push-versuch sein. es entspricht einfach den tatsachen.
ich hoffe auf eine rege diskussion bzw. einen regen info-austausch über bea.

Hier eine kleine Unternehmensbeschreibung:

Im letzten Quartal lag das Ergebnis je Aktie mit 0,06$ 20% über den Analystenschätzungen. Für das laufende Quartal wird mit einem Ergebnis je AKtie von 0,07$ gerechnet. Ich denke dass es auf jeden Fall möglich sein wird die Erwartungen zu erfüllen und hoffe natürlich auch auf eine Überraschung (natürlich im positiven Sinne)
aber genau kann ich auch nichts sagen.

Ich sehe dass BEAS in AMerika stark anzieht. Jetzt schon über 7%.
Meine Erfahrung: Wenn beas schon zu Anfang des Handels anzieht und kontinuierlich nach oben geht. Dann sind bis Handels schluss Tages gewinne von 10-25% möglich.

Also es geht wieder stark aufwärts mit BEA Systems!

11% gegen die schwache Nasdaq. Gibt es hier weitere fundamentale Gründe? Kann man weiter in BEA investieren? Normalerweise ist es ja ausgezeichnet wenn eine Aktie hohe relative Stärke vorweißt. Dies dürfte heute ja wohl der Fall sein. Kursziele? In deutschland hört man eigentlich wenig in den boards über BEA. Es werden wohl am Montag starke Zahlen erwartet sonst wäre der Kurs nicht so stark gestiegen.

stimmt, daß man in old germany nicht`s oder nur wenig von beas hört. aber ein gerücht ist mir zu ohren gekommen, daß die gute beas (und mein gott, die beas ist bis jetzt super gelaufen) ambitionen hat, in den nasdag aufgenommen zu werden. sind euch solche dinge auch schon übern weg gelaufen?

Damit dass es weiter aufwärtsgeht hattest du wohl recht!
Gestern ging Bea Systems in Amiland mit 105,8$ aus dem Handel und lag somit erstmals über der wichtige Marke von 100$.

Die Dynamik die Beas nach dem kleinen Einbruch hingelegt hat ist wirklich beachtlich und es würde mich nicht überraschen wenn dies noch einige Zeit anhalten würde.

Wenn hier langsam keine Begeisterung aufkommt dann weiß ich auch nicht mehr weiter oder?
Das waren in den letzten paar Tagen ja fast 100%.
Wir sind von ca. 70$ auf heute über 120$ durchmarschiert als würde diese Aktie gar keine andere Richtung kennen. Ich glaube es gab während dieses Anstiegs nur einen einzigen Tag an dem die Aktie im Minus lag und das waren nur lächerliche 0,5%!

Wenn jetzt noch die Zahlen stimmen dann gibt es wohl kein halten mehr.

Aber was mich etwas enttäuscht ist die Beteiligung von eurer Seite in der letzten Zeit!!! Seit ihr etwa alle ausgestiegen?

wo ist denn BEAS eigentlich einzuordnen? B2B- Wert, Ausrüster oder wie wollen wir Beas einordnen. In US Board wird oft der Vergleich mit Oracel bzw. Cisco angestellt. Ich bin mir nicht sicher wo man BEAS einordnen soll. Wenn man die Marktkapitalisierung von ca. 20 Mrd. Dollar betrachtet fragt man sich wie weit BEAS noch steigen kann. BVSN hat eine Kapitalisierung von 15 Mrd. Dollar. Ist eine Verdreifachung noch drin? Kann Beas so steigen wie ein JDSU oder Qcom die im vergangen Jahr nur gestiegen sind? Ich bin mir diesbezüglich unsicher. Hat BEAS wirklich ein so geniales Produkt das die Aktie nur noch steigt?

präsentiert das es schon aus Platzgründen völlig unmöglich ist diese hier einzufügen
BIßher liegt Beas mit einem plus von 4%-8% auch sehr gut im rennen.

SAN JOSE (dpa-AFX) - Die amerikanische BEA SYSTEMS INC , hat im vierten Quartal zum 31. Januar den operativen Gewinn je Aktie (ohne außerordentliche Aufwendungen) von 2 Cents im Vorjahresquartal auf 9 Cents gesteigert. Wie der Anbieter von E-Commerce Lösungen am Mittwoch nach Börsenschluss in San Jose (Kalifornien) bekannt gegeben hat, wurde damit bei einem Quartalsumsatz von 149,2 Mio. USD ein Gewinn von 22,3 Mio. USD erzielt. Analystenschätzungen von 7 Cents je Aktie wurden damit deutlich übertroffen. In den Zahlen sind Aufwendungen für Übernahmen und andere einmalige Ausgaben herausgerechnet. Im Vorjahresquartal lag der Umsatz noch bei 82 Mio. USD, der Gewinn wurde mit 5,98 Mio. USD oder 2 Cents je Aktie angegeben.

Unter Berücksichtigung der einmaligen Kosten sei ein Verlust von 13,7 Mio. USD oder 8 Cents je Aktie nach 3,96 Mio. USD oder 3 Cents im Vorjahr entstanden. Für mich ist BEAS ein langfristiges Dingen. Mal schauen wo die Jahresende stehen. Aber kurzfristig werden die wohl weiter gerupft.

die Verluste sind schon sehr schmerzlich. Bin bei 30 Euro rein und habe mehrmals nachgekauft. Diese Strategie ging bisher sehr gut auf. Für mich stellt sich aber jetzt die e
alles entscheidende Frage Wie gut ist Beas in ihrem Segment? Ist das Produkt wirklich so gut für die Zukunft gerüstet? In USA wird immer von einem Gorilla gesprochen. Demnach müßte Beas ja weiter eine große Rolle im e commerce spielen. Kann hier jemand vielleicht eine fachliche Stellung dazu beziehen? Verschiedene Auszeichnungen für Beas Produkte gab es ja in der Vergangenheit. Wie geht es weiter? Stimmt die Story noch????

BEA hat auch eine deutsche Homepage. Auf der man schön alles nachlesen kann, warum die Firma ein interessantes Investment ist - auch wenn sie, wie fast alle Technologiewerte ordentlich gerupft wird.

Es wurde mal die Frage gestellt was ist middleware überhaupt.

Hier eine kleine Definition:

Als Middleware wird eine Softwareschicht bezeichnet, die zwischen der Anwendungsebene und der Betriebssystemebene liegt und die für ein Anwendungsfeld spezifischen Dienste zur Verfügung stellt. Das entspricht den klassischen Angaben eines Betriebssystems, wobei hier der Gesichtspunkt "Hardwareneutralität" und "Berücksichtigung des Anwendungsbereichs" stärker im Vordergrund steht, als bei den "general purpose Betriebssystemen".

Verallgemeinert man den Begriff und versteht Middleware als eine (anwendungsdomänenspezifische) Kopplungskomponente von Anwendungsprogrammen zu einer Systemumgebung, dann sind auch Konzepte zur Kopplung der verschiedenen Anwendungsprogramme über Hardware- und Betriebssystemgrenzen hinweg durch Middleware abzudecken. BEA baut eine Messaging Middleware, die zur Verbindung verschiedener Anwendungsprogramme wird. Ich kenne das Produkt selber nicht, sondern die Hauptkonkurrenz MQ Series von IBM. Für die Art von Produkten wird es in den nächsten Jahren definitiv noch riesigen Bedarf geben, speziell auch für E Commerce. einen Nachteil von BEA sehe ich darin, dass es nicht so viele Rechnersysteme unterstützt, speziell ist es auf MVS (Grossrechnern) nicht so vertreten.
Im Bereich Message Engine hat IBM einen Marktanteil von 65 %, BEA einen von 10 % und TIBCO einen von 8 %
Als Anmerkung: Ich habe keine Aktien von BEA, aber ein Kollege hat, er plant Nachkäufe

Sorry das ich mich so lange nicht gemeldet habe. Natürlich habe ich alle meine Beas noch und habe auch nicht vor in nächster Zeit welche zu verkaufen. Charttechnisch sieht es meiner Meinung doch auch wieder sehr gut aus. Bei Kursen um die 65/70 $ war eine starke unterstützung.
Diese hat doch auch sehr gut gehalten. Nun kann es wieder stark aufwärtsgehen. Wie Heute um 16% !
Was ich unglaublich finde ist das Beas heute nach der riesen Nasdaqkorrektur der letzten 2 Tage weit höher steht als vorher.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- BEA Systems posted better-than-expected earnings in the second quarter on strong sales and then boosted its sales and earnings expectations for the remainder of the year.



The e-commerce transactions company (BEAS: news, msgs) recorded pro forma net income of $21.9 million, or 5 cents a share, a penny ahead of analysts` average estimate, according to First Call. In the same quarter of 1999, the company made $12.4 million, or 2 cents a share.

Sales in the quarter soared 80 percent, year-to-year, to $186 million from last year`s $103.2 million. License fees climbed 22 percent to $104.2 million from $85.2 million in the prior quarter.

Bill Coleman, BEA CEO and co-founder, said he now expects a15 percent quarter-on-quarter growth rate for the "foreseeable future."

He boosted fiscal year revenue expectations to $785 million from $700 million. Also, he raised earnings expectations to 22 cents per share from 18 cents per share.

"We are really seeing a major move by companies looking to build e-commerce on Web Logic," Coleman said. "Our business is really firing on all cylinders."

Web Logic is BEA`s e-commerce transaction software.

In a separate release after the market closed, BEA announced more than two dozen strategic alliances in which collectively it plans to invest up to $20 million this fiscal year.

"Our channel growth has been constrained by our ability to build our channel directly," Coleman said.

This new program will accelerate growth through BEA`s ability to license products to third parties. BEA now has 27 partners, consisting of more than 4,000 consultants.

"The channel initiative is designed to drive dramatic market share growth through more strategic relationships with leading systems integrators, application services providers and independent software vendors," Coleman said.

BEA announced relationships with, among others, KPMG, Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC: news, msgs), MarchFirst (MRCH: news, msgs), Unisys Systems (UIS: news, msgs), IXL (IIXL: news, msgs), Calico Commerce (CLIC: news, msgs), Loudcloud, Manugistics (MANU: news, msgs), and Moai.
