FeedbackDie für gestern vorgesehene Veröffentlichung der Zahlen für das vierte Quartal von Take-Two ist verschoben worden. Schon im Dezember konnte das Software-Unternehmen den ursprünglichen Termin nicht einhalten. Diesmal gibt Take-Two als Grund an, mehr Zeit für die Neuformulierung zurückliegender Finanzergebnisse zu benötigen.

LOS ANGELES, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) on Tuesday postponed releasing fiscal fourth-quarter results for a second???x weeks, saying it needed more time to restate past financial results.
Nasdaq halted trading in the coí???which has recently jumped on blockbuster sales of its action game "Grand Theft Auto 3," until it provides information requested by the market. Nasdaq changed a "news pending" halt on the stock to a status of "additional information requested."
Take-Two was scheduled to report earnings for the quarter ended Oct. 31 on Tuesday.
Take-Two`s fourth-quarter results had been previously delayed because the New York-based company said in mid-December it would have to restate earnings and revenues for all of fiscal 2000 and the first three quarters of fiscal 2001.
The restatements stem from the company recording certain product sales as revenues, even after the sold products were returned to or bought back by the company.
Take-Two said on Tuesday some of its previously announced revisions will be further revised upward, while some will be revised downward. The company did not say when it expects to report the results.
"(This) says to me they`re not done with the numbers yet," said Mike Wallace, an analyst at UBS Warburg who covers the video game industry. "This is a novel situation."
Take-Two`s stock has been buoyed in recent weeks by "Grand Theft Auto 3," the best-selling video game in December and the top game at rental since November.
However, the game has come under some criticism for its heavy violent imagery, which got the game an "M" rating in the United States and drew a ban from the Australian government.
Take-Two has also gotten good early reviews for its forthcoming title, "State of Emergency," which has been described as being more violent than "GTA3."
Despite strong recent sales, Take-Two faces a number of investor class-action lawsuits related to its restatements.
On Dec. 17, Take-Two said the restatements would lower fiscal 2000 revenue by $12 million to $15 million, with income cut by $3.1 million to $3.7 million, or 11 cents to 13 cents per share.
The company said revenue for the first three quarters of fiscal 2001 would come down by $9.5 million, with income cut by $300,000, or 1 cent per share.
Take-Two also said in December it expected to report revenues of $138 million to $140 million and earnings per share of 1 to 4 cents for the fourth quarter, well below Wall Street expectations at the time.
Take-Two`s stock closed on Tuesday up 50 cents, or 2.8 percent, at $18.56. It rose 41 percent in 2001 and is up another 15 percent this year.
