Neurotech Appointed to Administrate $1.7 Billion USD Integrated Geriatric Community Project

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2002--Neurotech Development Corporation (OTC BB: NURO) announced today that it has been appointed project administrator for the development of a unique integrated geriatric community.

The project has a total cost of $1.7 Billion USD and is to be completed in phases over a five year period. A number of agreements have been executed with respect to the planning, administration, and operation of this project. The project will be built in the greater Shanghai area and has been organized utilizing a consortium of corporations and a foundation. By agreement, Neurotech shall receive an aggregate administrative fee of approximately $170,000,000 USD over this five year period, which is inclusive of the training costs for the physicians and senior administrative staff of the hospital and nursing homes. An initial financing deposit in the amount of RMB 240,000,000 ($30,000,000 USD) has been presented to secure initial financing of RMB 1,000,000,000 ($125,000,000 USD) on behalf of the corporate consortium and the Foundation for phase I of the project.

The community will consist of 50,000 homes and will house an estimated 120,000 people. It will also include senior residences, family residences, an assisted living facility, a skilled nursing home, a primary school, middle school and high school, an acute care hospital with enhanced outpatient services, a community recreational center, and a commercial center. The community shall have a self contained and managed insurance program. Senior citizens and retirees in the community will be re-employed by families for child care and educational tutoring, as well as, positions within the residential committees of the community. This is the first community in China which utilizes the senior citizen population as a resource instead of a liability. The sociological and moral implications of this project are trend setting, and will help to solve many of the problems associated with aging.

Because of the inclusion of China into the WTO, the company feels that the prospects for successful financing of this project, as well as previously announced contracts have been dramatically improved.

20-50% sollten machbar sein. Gewinne und Verluste sollten unbedingt schnell realisiert werden
