Trading Symbol & Code on Frankfurt Stock Exchange
Further to the ASX announcement of 27 January 2000 advising that
trading of shares in Union Capital Limited has been accepted onto the
Third Market Segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as of 26 January
2000, we advise that the trading symbol of the shares on the
Frankfurt Stock Exchange is "UNM" and that the German securities code
(Wertpapierkennnummer) is 875732.
Trading on XETRA (electronic dealing system) commenced 27 January
2000.
The Company is aware that trading of Union`s shares and options on
both the Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchange has been very strong
recently.
The closing prices and turnover reported for the trading day of
27 January 2000 was
CLOSING PRICE TURNOVER
Berlin 0.42 Euro (AUD$0.64) 14,061,354
Frankfurt 0.44 Euro (AUD$0.67) 13,110,927
These trading prices are a 30% premium to today`s Australian trading
price.
Union Capital has achieved a very strong shareholder base in Europe
and believes the increase in the share price is reflective of its
global foray into top level internet security with Identikey, and the
world class Mehdiabad Zinc deposit in Iran. The Company believes its
investments are now being rated on the world stage, rather than the
generally acknowledged lower Australian market.
