Nun ist Ariba ein kleineres aber meiner Meinung nach gesundes Unternehmen!
Andere B2B- Unternehmen haben dadurch einen Rückstand von mindestens 12 Monaten. Das ist der Vorteil von Ariba !
Deswegen wäre ein Kurs von 7-9$ gerechtfertigt !!!

MetLife Selects Ariba to Manage Spend and Reduce Purchasing Costs

MetLife Selects Ariba to Manage Spend and Reduce Purchasing Costs
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ariba(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: ARBA), the leading Enterprise Spend Management (ESM) solutions provider, today announced that Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife), one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the U.S., has selected Ariba solutions to improve management of corporate-wide spend, streamline the purchasing process and reduce costs.
MetLife, a FORTUNE(R) 100 company, will use Ariba(R) Buyer(TM) and Ariba(R) eForms(TM) to better control corporate spend, ensure compliance with contracts and eliminate specific operational inefficiencies.

Die Ariba Aktie stieg im Vorfeld der Zahlenbekanntgabe seit Anfang Oktober um 37.8% auf einen Schlusskurs von $2.46 am Dienstag.
Die Vorstände Ariba´s haben ein Aktienrückkaufprogramm beschlossen. Nun sollen Stammaktien im Wert von $50 Millionen zurückgekauft werden. Die Aktienrückkäufe sollen periodisch über den Markt abgewickelt werden, was vor allem vom Aktienkurs abhängen wird.

MÜNCHEN (COMPUTERWOCHE) - Der amerikanische E-Business-Softwareanbieter Ariba übernimmt die Hamburger Goodex AG, nach eigenen Angaben Europas größter Anbieter von Service und Technologie für Reverse Auctions. Der hanseatische E-Sourcing-Spezialist wurde 1999 gegründet und beschäftigt rund 50 Mitarbeiter. Goodex berät Kunden in Sachen Sourcing-Strategie und hat Transaktionen mit einem Volumen von über 1,5 Milliarden Euro abgewickelt. Finanzielle Details der Übernahme wurden nicht veröffentlicht.
Ariba sieht sich zurzeit mit einer formlosen Ermittlung seitens der US-Börsenaufsicht konfrontiert, nachdem das Unternehmen eine Revision seiner Bilanzen für die Jahre 2000 und 2001 angekündigt. Diese soll bis Ende Februar abgeschlossen sein.
