Warum will denn die deutsche TELESENSKSCL AG NA keiner?
Weiß einer was da passiert?

Die schottischen Firmenteile wurde von den Recievern
(vergleichbar deutschen Insolvenzverwaltern) schuldenfrei
verkauft.

Convergys Snaps Up TelesensKSCL
July 3
-Convergys has recently announced it has bought billing software vendor TelesensKSCL for approximately $12.5 million. TelesensKSCL, based in Cologne, had filed for insolvency in June after proving unable to recover from rapid growth during an unstable market. With this move, Convergys has added the company’s voice and data billing systems for mobile networks to its portfolio and looks to increase its European presence—starting with the support of two Tier 1 TelesensKSCL clients: mmO2 and Orange France. Convergys expects to receive $25 million over the next 12 months.

Competitor buys TelesensKSCL out of receivership
IAN McCONNELL
EDINBURGH-based software developer TelesensKSCL was yesterday bought out of receivership by US
competitor Convergys for a price believed to run into tens of millions of pounds.
Convergys last night attempted to reassure the remaining 230 employees at TelesensKSCL, which produces
billing systems software for mobile phone companies. The Scottish business ran into financial trouble mainly
because of a cash crunch at German parent TelesensKSCL AG.
A spokesman for Ohio-based Convergys said last night: "There are no planned staff cuts at all at this time."
Asked if Convergys would retain a reasonable scale of operation in Edinburgh, the spokesman replied: "Yes."
On whether this would still involve software development, as well as a sales operation, he replied: "That is the
current plan, yes, because we found Edinburgh to be a very wonderful place to do business."
Receiver Deloitte & Touche axed 220 staff at TelesensKSCL last Friday, leaving 150 mainly technical staff in
Edinburgh. The other 80 remaining employees are in France.
One former employee questioned why TelesensKSCL had been put into receivership last week when a deal was
only days away. He said the 220 lay-offs would save Convergys from making redundancy payments.
But John Reid at Deloitte & Touche, said: "That wasn`t the reason for doing it. There had been interest in the
business prior to the business going into receivership. It did require considerable sums of money to continue
trading. Given the shareholders did not wish to introduce further cash at that stage, the view was the secured
lenders (Royal Bank of Scotland) were not interested either."
The former employee feared for jobs, claiming Convergys wanted only the customer base.
KSCL was bought by German group Telesens for £135m two years ago. Convergys, said by the former
employee to have been a potential buyer of the business two years ago, was said by Reid to have paid a
"considerable" price with which he was "quite satisfied".
Reid said there had been talks with three separate parties.
The former employee said one was ADC Saville.
