Greenspan, the confiscator of wealth
I have spent some years figuring out the "Principles of Inflation Cycles" and have found great support in work from Sydney Homer. He explains it very simple and better than I ever could.
All the goods and services in a country are standing in relation to the money in circulation. We index this relation at 100. If monetary authoritites choose to print 20% more money, than money in circulation reaches 120 opposed to our goods and services, which still stand at 100. Since it is impossible to con the law of supply and demand, price levels of goods and services combined have to rise eventually with 20%. The money in circulation will always eventually match the value of all goods and services combined.
What does this essentially mean? the money in circulation stands for savings. Savings have claims on goods and services. So, in case new money is printed, the existing monies will loose a proportional amount of claims on the total of goods and services. In aforementioned example, savers own at first 100% of goods and services. After additional money supply of 20%, they will end up owning 100/120, which equals 83 % of all goods and services. The remaining 20/120 or 17% is now in hands of regulators.
Obviousely, it will take sometime before the government starts spending the 20% additonal newly printed monies. Subsequently it will take time before prices actually will start to rise. But eventually they will rise with the exact same percentage as was added to the monies in circulation. Simply beacuse it is impossible to con the law of supply and demand. Consequently, money supply represents the confiscation of wealth. Inflation is NOT a consequence of money supply, but the EQUIVALENT. In an attempt to cover this, the CPI (Price Consumer Index) is totally wrongly constructed. It is a basket of selected goods and services and entirely incomplete.
As Greenspan wrote himself in 1967, the proces of printing money is insiduous and the only thing standing in its way is gold. Gold is the ultimate protector of property rights. It is ironic that Greenspan would turn out to be the largest confiscator of wealth of all times. During his time the FED has printed USD 4,7 trillion. This was money taken from savers, through reducing the buying force of their savings.

hart verdienten Geld will
