Biological Terror Threat

Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is reportedly planning to arm a Palestinian terror group with biological weapons for use against Israeli and American targets.
A secret Whitehall dossier thought to contain a detailed account of the dictator’s weapons of mass destruction programme is being circulated amongst Britain’s top political officials.

And military experts fear that Saddam may plan to recruit and fund a Palestinian terror group to act on his behalf in the same way as Iran funds and trains terrorists to attack Israel from Lebanon.

The Iraqi dictator already bankrolls Palestinian terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians by offering the families of suicide bombers up to $10,000.

Worryingly, it is now beleived the country already has the capacity to deliver biological agents via an aerosol system, created in mobile laboratory research units to outwit the US spy satellites that have constantly monitored arms development since the end of the Gulf War in 1991.
Saddam is also suspecting of having manufactured at least three types of biological agents, including anthrax, botulism and deadly poison aflatoxin.

But despite the mounting speculation surrounding an imminent Allied military attack on Iraq, Israel has already taken steps to protect its citizens.

Since last autumn the health ministry has been stockpiling smallpox vaccine, and last month, major general Doron Almog, told army radio that while Palestinain militants do not yet possess non-conventional weapons, the IDF was preparing itself for “the possibility in the future”.

Jeremy Binnie, of Jane’s Defence Weekly, said: “It’s very possible that the Iraqis have managed to put biological and chemical weapons into a usable form. The device wouldn’t have to be particularly large, as its psychological affects would be much more of a threat than actual fatalities due to the effect of mass panic.

“Since the Palestinians are obviously incapable of developing these weapons or a delivery system, Israel would immediately realise it had originated from an outside power and would be likely to retaliate.”

But Amir Oren, a security expert on Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, told TJ: “Of course Palestinian terror groups are looking for chemical and biological weapons but I don’t think that Saddam Hussein wants to relinquish these to anyone else’s control.

“They are his weapon of last resort, as he indicated in 1991 when he warned the West that he had pre-authorised his field commanders to use chemical weapons if they lost contact with Baghdad.”

He added: “Although I’m sure he wants to act against Israel and America, I don’t believe that there is any yet concrete evidence that this is a likely scenario."

verfügt.

Wenn Du sagst, Fischer soll sich das mal durchlesen, auf welche vermeintlichen Bildungslücken seinerseits zielst Du ab?
Seine vergangenen, seine gegenwärtigen?

Wie dem auch sei, es scheint doch so, daß zum Öl im Feuer weiteres Öl hinzugekippt wird, um
einen Krieg gegen den Irak zu rechtfertigen, oder wie siehst Du das?

Das klingt arg nach Kriegspropaganda. Saddam will überleben und die Früchte seines Terrros und Ausbeutung in vollen Zügen geniessen. Er ist kein Glaubensritter.
