The Group has taken adequate measure to sustain its operation in this region. Moreover, Vanda will continue to consolidate its existing presence, in particular in Singapore and Malaysia, to position itself for the future economic recovery of these countries.


Systems integration continues to be the core business

In terms of business development, the Group will continue its emphasis on "one-stop" systems integration services as its core business. Major customers are still primarily from the banking and financial sector.


PRC continues to be our primary market; banking sector continues to be our major client and actively expand our business in the post & telecommunications sector
In the PRC, the banking sector still has a great demand for computerisation including the installation of initial systems and upgrading or expansion of existing systems, to meet with PRC banking reforms. The establishment of new regional banking institutions will result in an expanded customer base and larger market for the Group. Vanda`s reputation and expertise in this sector will definitely be an advantage in seizing the growth opportunities.

Meanwhile, as the rapid development of post and telecommunications in the PRC, Vanda will continue to take its utmost advantage to endeavor the modernization of the PRC`s post and telecommunications industry.

Moreover, other sectors such as insurance, large-scale public utilities and retail also present good business potential.


Developing, upgrading and improving of software to enhance recurring business and competitiveness

As systems integration services are becoming more software-oriented, the Group will continue to strengthen its software capabilities. Vanda will continue its efforts in the development of commercial software packages to international standards and compatible with the requirements of international banking business, all with a view to further strengthening the Group`s competitive edge in the software business. The Group will also strengthen its cooperation with international software developers and make joint efforts to explore the PRC market, where there is an increasing demand for high-quality software products from companies who want to upgrade their computer systems to keep pace with international standards.


Further expand and capitalize telecoms business (Comtech) in the PRC

The increasing use of computers systems in the business community of the PRC has resulted in a surging demand for communication networks. The Group`s communication systems integration business has seen steady development since Comtech joined the Vanda Group. Capitalising on the Group`s extensive customer base and sales network in the PRC, Comtech`s communication network operations have showed positive results. In view of the growing trend for intelligent buildings and the demand for rapid telecommunication transmissions today, Comtech will continue to focus on offering a comprehensive range of 5A intelligent building automation systems. The Group expects to focus particularly on exploring this substantial market in the PRC.


Seeking acquisition opportunities for further expansion

The Group intends to achieve growth by vertically integration and diversification of its business interests. The Group will look for suitable businesses for acquisition or partnership that can complement the Group`s core business so as to enhance its competitiveness and broaden its earnings base.


Exploring full potential of its network

Over the longer term, Vanda will explore the full potential of its existing network in the PRC and Southeast Asia by engaging in new project development and introducing new products to maintain sustainable growth for the Group.

With its prominent position in the systems integration market and sound strategic planning, Vanda can look forward to strong growth in the new millenium.

Im Bloomberg ist Vanda Systems als "investment holding company. Aber kein system ist perfect.

Ich habe heute gekauft. Man kann nie wissen.

ah, dann hast du die 4000 Stück in München gekauft

ich habe asien tradingpositionen (darunter auch VANDA) nach den kurshüpfer reduziert, hatte so ne ahnung mit nasdaq korrektur
und HK hängt ja doch stark am Nasdaqtropf

ich halte weiter aber auch noch eine nette longposition.
VANDA ist im chin. IT Markt ausgezeichnet positioniert und wird am Wachstum der Branche sehr gut partizipieren können

noch viel Spaß mit VANDA
und schönes WE
