diese aktie soll nach berichten von börsenzeitungen ein hot tipp für dieses jahr sein.
was mich aber ein wenig verwundert ist das ich niergends informationen darüber bekomme ,nicht einmal hier im board kennt einer die aktie .
oder doch ?
ich würde mich freuen wenn irgendjemand hier infos posten könnte.

Soviel ich weiss will New-Tel in China im Internetgeschäft einsteigen und soll als AOL Asiens gesehen werden (Zukünftig), mehr weiss ich auch nicht.

New Tel ist seit Juni 1999 tätig als Telefongesellschaft mit
starker Internetneigung. Geplant ist ein großes Portal auf
cinesisch. Ich denke wenn dies angenommen wird, werden wir
ganz andere Kurse sehen, denn sobald die (inzwischen vielen)
in asiatischen Technologiewerten investierten Fonds auf New
Tel aufmerksam werden, werden die Kurse anziehen. Aktuell
notiert die Aktie an ASX ca. 30% unter ihren Höchskursen.
Ich sehe bei den in Deutschland und an der Nasdaq gehandelten
ADR´s ein Kursziel bis 42E.

Ich habe noch einmal eine Mitteilung über New Tel vom 20.01.00
(also nicht mehr ganz aktuell), die klarmacht auf wievielen
Standbeinen das Unternehmen in Australien und China steht:

HERDSMAN, Australia, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- New
Tel Limited (Nasdaq: NWLL) today announced that it has
commenced transmission of commercial traffic on its new
network. Peter Malone, CEO, said that as a result of New
Tel`s new services, telecom rates between Australia to
China have been lowered.

Under New Tel`s agreement with Xinhua, the China news
agency, the installation, testing and commissioning of the
Company`s gateway switch and satellite earth station
facility were completed at the end of December, giving
New Tel access to a lower cost structure.

"We are passing on the savings to our customers who will
have the added benefit of a quality link that is under New
Tel`s control," Mr. Malone added.

He said New Tel has signed over 25,000 customers and
expects to more than double this number during the coming
months.

"Even before the new low rates to China and other Asian
destinations, we have been very competitive, and
customers obviously have been taking advantage of this,"
Mr. Malone said. "Customers can access the cheaper rates
in time to call family and friends in Asia during Chinese
New Year. New Tel is also reducing the rate to mainland
China between February 4th and 6th to make it even easier
to call during this special time of the year."

New Tel is also a principal sponsor of the Sydney 2000
Chinese New Year Festival hosted by the City of Sydney,
and is running special promotions, including a major
competition where the first prize is a trip for two to
Beijing, with A$2,000 in spending money.

New Tel`s initial point of presence (POP) is in Sydney.
The Company plans to add additional POP`s in Melbourne
and Perth over the next 24 months. From Sydney, New
Tel`s traffic is routed over fiber optic circuits to Perth,
then transmitted to the satellite gateway.

wollte schon bei 17,50 einsteigen aber hab es verseumt.
der jetzige kurs von 22,50 solte noch ein günstiger einstieg sein.

Foster Reiterates `Strong Buy` on New Tel After Trip to China

SYDNEY, Australia, March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Foster Stockbroking, based in Sydney, today reiterated its `strong buy` recommendation on New Tel Limited (Nasdaq: NWLL), based on talks in China between Stuart Foster and the Xinhua News` representative to New Tel, An Zhou. Xinhua, China`s official news agency, is New Tel`s partner in its Chinese Internet venture.

Foster recently was lead manager for New Tel`s A$59.5 million private placement of 17 million new shares. New Tel CEO Peter Malone said the funds are to be used for development of the Company`s Chinese Internet infrastructure.

In his strong buy recommendation, Mr. Foster said that Mr. Zhou "is very influential in Xinhua and highly regarded by the news agency`s executive in Beijing."

Mr. Foster continued: "Xinhua is throwing its full weight behind New Tel. Despite strong lobbying for preferential access to government web sites and official imprimatur by several companies, including Chinadotcom, News Tel maintains its premier position."

Mr. Foster said he anticipates that New Tel will become China`s leading Internet service provider and portal.

Mr. Malone has previously announced that an additional share issue of $200 million will be undertaken by New Tel on the Nasdaq, with Nomura as lead banker. The deal is awaiting regulatory approvals by the Chinese, satisfactory completion of due diligence, and New Tel shareholder approval.

New Tel Limited is a new Australian carrier listed on ASX and the Nasdaq stock market in the USA. In operation since 1 July 1999, New Tel provides international and national telephony and data services with an emphasis on international services to Asia, particularly China.
