hi,
Advanced CMOS Setup
1st / 2nd / 3rd Boot Device: These set the order your drives are checked for an OS on booting. The normal order is [FLOPPY], [IDE-0], [CD-ROM], although it`s a matter of personal preference. It is best to check the floppy first though, as you may need to boot from a floppy to flash your BIOS or perform a virus clean-up.
S.M.A.R.T. for Hard Disks: The first time you boot after HDD detection, leave this disabled and see what POST says about your HDDs. If it says they are SMART capable, set this to ENABLED. SMART stands for "Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology". It may give you warning of a hard drive error, enabling you to do something about it.

BIOS ist dir ein Begriff??? Wenn ja, dann aktiviere / deaktiviere die Einstellung S.M.A.R.T. ON/OFF, speichere die Änderung und schau, ob es funktioniert.

#11 obolus,
