Pump and Dump.

Dein letztes Highlight liegt schon lange zurück (Thiel)

@mayday18,

@mayday18,

@Plus,
das hat mit Pessimismus nichts zu tun. Ich weiß, was hier läuft.

ISPs To Dial Up Trai [= Indische Telekom-Regulierungsbehörde] For Hike In Pulse; Seek Revenue Share
New Delhi: In an effort to bring down the cost of dial-up Internet access, the Internet service providers (ISPs) will soon be approaching Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) and Department of Telecommunication (DoT) to increase the local call pulse rate for Internet access to 5 minutes.
The cost of Internet access through dial-up will go up substantially from April 1 this year after the local call pulse rate is reduced from 3 minutes to 2 minutes as per Trai recommendations on basic tariffs announced recently. Currently, a dial-up Internet user pays 15 paisa per minute to ISP for Internet access (@Rs 9 per hour) and 40 paisa per minute to basic operator for dial up charges (@Rs1.20 per 3 minute call). The shorter pulse rate of 2 minutes will increase the cost of dial-up to 60 paisa a minute resulting in an increase of about 40 per cent in total dial up internet cost.
ISPs will also ask the regulator to enforce revenue sharing regime between ISPs and basic operators so that the latter pass on a part of their revenues from dial up Internet access. “Basic service companies should pass on 30 per cent of their revenue from Internet usage to us as bulk customers,” said Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) president and Sify Limited managing director R Ramaraj.
The association will also ask the regulator and licensor to define the interconnect charges to be paid by ISPs to fixed line operators and international long distance operators. An ISP needs to connect to the basic operator for last mile connectivity to customers and also to the ILD operators for connecting with international Internet gateways.
Mr Ramaraj claimed that the current Internet service prices at Rs 9 per hour was much below even the variable cost of the operators.
“That is the reason, companies are not spending money in acquiring new customers and somehow just maintaining their existing customers,” said Mr Ramaraj.
Sify’s dial-up Internet service subscribers’ growth has also been flat in the past one year and remained at 6 lakh subscribers, he added.
However, companies are expecting some relief from the expected price cuts in international bandwidth rates in next few months. “We are expecting some drop in international bandwidth rates with i2i becoming operational for data traffic,” Mr Ramaraj said.
If revenue sharing was not allowed by the government and the bandwidth prices also did not come down substantially, Internet service prices would go up by 30 per cent to touch Rs 12 per hour by the end of this year, Mr Ramaraj said, adding the prices would be increased in smaller slabs. ISPAI executive council members are meeting in the first week of February to decide final plans to go to Trai and DoT as well as for devising the strategy to increase prices.
Mr Ramaraj was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the launch of Sify’s Internet Protocol (IP) backbone as first tier-1 IP network infrastructure in the country.
Sify and the network equipment company, Cisco systems have jointly announced the launch of IP network in Delhi on Tuesday. “This will place Sify’s network infrastructure at par with a select group of international network service providers such as AT&T, Singtel and Telstra,” said Cisco Systems president for India and Saarc Manoj Chugh

Rediff.Com Announces Operating Results For Third Quarter Ended December 2002
THURSDAY, JANUARY 30, 2003 7:31 AM
- BusinessWire
MUMBAI, India, Jan 30, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rediff.com India Limited (REDF) , the premier worldwide online provider of news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services for Indians, today announced its financial results for the third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2002.
HIGHLIGHTS -- Operating revenues were US$3.33 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2002. -- Operating Loss per ADS at the EBITDA level was 8.7 cents or US$2.22 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2002. -- Net Loss per ADS at the PAT level was 10.2 cents or US$2.61 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2002. -- Operating expenses for the quarter ended December 31, 2002 were US$3.15 million. -- Total registered users stood at 23.1 million as of December 31, 2002. -- Launched a series of SMS based value added services. -- Launched Rediff Personal Edition powered by XML technology.
"The mobile and PC based Internet worlds are now merging and simultaneously growing at a rapid pace. These events allow for more Indians to be connected over their mobile phones than ever before. The launch of SMS based value added services and the Rediff Personal Edition are the first steps towards addressing this young and mobile audience", says Ajit Balakrishnan, Chairman and CEO, Rediff.com India Limited.
"On the other hand, the rapid development of telecom infrastructure in India will enable more Indian homes to be connected online. This we believe will encourage the growth of online shopping which has approximately seen an 80% rise in online orders over the past one year alone", concludes Mr. Balakrishnan.
Financial Results
Operating revenues for the quarter were US$3.33 million, a decrease of US$2.93 million compared to in the same quarter last year, due to lower revenues from our phone card services at Valucom.
Gross Margin for the quarter was US$0.93 million or 28 percent compared to US$1.79 million or 29 percent in the same quarter of last year.
Operating loss per ADS, at the EBITDA level for the quarter was 8.7 cents or US$2.22 million compared to a loss of 6.1 cents or US$1.56 million for the corresponding 2001 quarter. The higher loss is primarily due to lower revenues from the Valucom telecommunication subsidiary.
Net Loss per ADS at the PAT level, was 10.2 cents or US$2.61 million compared to a loss of 5.7 cents or US$1.47 million for the corresponding 2001 quarter.
Total operating expenses for the quarter were US$3.15 million compared to US$3.35 million for the same quarter last year. This despite one time expenses of $0.39 million incurred for developing the online and mobile businesses in India.
Operating cash burn for the quarter was US$2.12 million, compared to a cash burn of US$1.4 million for the same quarter last year. Total cash and cash equivalents approximated US$16.8 million at the end of the December quarter.
Due to lower usage and pricing pressures facing our phone card business, Rediff.com is lowering its previous full year revenue guidance by approximately US$1.0 million. Estimated full year revenues are currently projected to be in the US$17.0 million - US$17.5 million range. However, aggressive cost cutting measures have put Rediff.com in a position to reconfirm prior EBITDA guidance of US$7.0 million - US$7.5 million loss for the fiscal year.
EBITDA is defined as income from continuing operations before deduction of depreciation and amortization, one time charges, interest income and foreign exchange.
EBITDA is not a substitute for operating income, net income and cash flow from operating activities as determined in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles as a measure of profitability or liquidity.
It is presented as additional information because management believes it to be a useful indicator of our operating results. Because operating EBITDA is not calculated identically by all companies, the presentation herein may not be comparable to similarly titled measures of other companies. A reconciliation from operating income computed under GAAP to EBITDA is presented in the table accompanying this release.
Conference Call Information
The Company will hold a conference call, hosted by Ajit Balakrishnan, Chairman and CEO, Nitin Gupta, President and COO and Rick Filippelli, Chief Financial Officer for investors today at 8:30 am Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Investors will be able to listen and participate in the call by dialing 303-205-0033, a US toll free number shortly before the scheduled start time.

@alle
@fsch

Seht Euch doch mal IGLD WK 925161 an. Israelisches Internetunternehmen. Die machen sogar Gewinne PE von kapp 10.
Cash 18 Mio.
